I paused reading this thread at your translation. Decided to run one too before I continued the rest of the thread - so I'll share what I came up with. Maybe someone's come up with something else, I'm not sure. I'm not a linguist and have no idea of the syntax of the Japanese language. Also I don't know how much word meanings have changed, since language is a living thing and evolves with the speakers, so these may be older words with different meaning. Anyway...
女 onna - woman
エイド eido - aid
垂らす tarasu - to hang
毛 ke - hair
で de - so (in)
る ru - to
見え mie - appearance
い I - there
で de - so (in)
産後 sango - post partum
レミ remi -Remi
い I - there
度合い doai - degree/extent
堕落 daraku - corruption
ガミ gami - garbage
瀬戸 seto - strait (channel)
My feeling I get from reading this way is,
Remi needs help fixing her appearance after she's had the baby, so she doesn't look like she has been corrupted (sex?) and should be thrown out with the garbage/sewage water.
So your last thought as you flung yourself over the cliff (if this is what it was) was hoping no one found out about the baby and that Remi could keep her geisha job and not be forced into prostitution.
