Umm, not quite sure how if this is the right place to ask this, or if I may, but I really need some input and advice, and quickly.
For the last couple of nights now, I have been waking up struggling to breathe, with the feeling of being suffocated, having really unusual and lucid dreams. That by-the-by, these all culminated last night with a very frightening ending.
After some convoluted and un-understandable dreams, I suddenly found myself in an old building. It was empty and neglected. For some reason it was thought I could contact and speak to the ghosts that had resided there, so I had been coerced into coming. I wasn't happy about it. I like to leave such matters as they are without inviting them to contact me.
I was put into a room with various bits of equipment while the other people busied themselves with other preparations before coming in to me. I could feel there were things there and tried desperately to remember and correctly recite protective prayers I had learnt as a child. I had not uttered them for years. Whilst trying to remember, I was carrying the thoughts that nothing harmful or bad or evil comes near me, and was asking for guidance and protection.
The people still had not finished preparing, so I left the room to use the bathroom. I pushed the door shut, but am sure I did not lock it. It was a very old, un-naturally cold room. There was a mirror in front of the toilet, and as I sat down, I jumped, sure I saw a reflection move behind me. But the room was empty.
A second later, as I sat, I felt my hair being thrown and lifted up. I came to cry out in fright and surprise, but had my cry cut off by someone prodding my stomach. I tried to cry out again and ask for help - the people were just outside, but again, I was cut off by another poke into my stomach. I hoped they would hear the sounds of my struggle, but then I realised the door was locked. I tried to keep my breath and focus inside myself to remember the prayers and word I had been using, but at that instant I was poked again, my hair thrown up in the air, and in my fright, I woke myself.
I am sure it was just a dream, though a frightening one. (I seek to reassure myself!) but, I still cannot shake off the feeling. Especially given the following few nights, and am getting a little concerned now. I may have sensed things in the past, living in different houses, but this is the first time I have had this physical experience and felt this unusual atmosphere in my house. Even my cat has taken to sticking by my side or hiding in the corners.
