a Spitfire, of course

Anna H.

Anna H.
This has to be worded fairly vaguely, for the sake of another person's privacy. This person believed he had been a WWII pilot.

Once, he woke up late at night and came downstairs where I was. He was not fully awake when I seized the opportunity to ask him casually, "What kind of plane did you fly in the war?"

He looked at me like this was an incredibly stupid question, and said, "A Spitfire, of course!" I had the impression he was a bit insulted that someone might imagine he flew a lesser plane.

"How did it end up?" I asked.

Matter-of-factly, he said, "In a smoking crater."

He then went back to bed, and later remembered nothing about the conversation.

I don't like to push the subject, because, while he has retained some memories, abilities, and preferences, he seems to consider that lifetime a done deal.

Do you have any idea who he was? Did he ever give a name? If you had a name it would be interesting to research. I'm sure the British have records of all Spitfire pilots killed in the war. As you may know there are several people here in the forum who were in the RAF during WWII.

He never gave a name, but when he was a child, he named his teddy bear Morgan Jones. Because it's an unusual name in our country, I've wondered if he brought it with him. He also likes places that he says look like rural western England and Wales. He hasn't been there in this life, so how could he compare, much less prefer the look of a place he's never seen?

These glimpses of another life interest or amuse him, but he treats them as simple fact, a part of his experience, rather than something to dwell on. That's probably good for him, but not so great for those of us who want to know more!

Scroll down in the webpage below and you will find the article. Spitfire pilot John Morgan Jones crashed on December 29, 1943 over Scotland while on a low level training flight. His plane clipped some trees and went down. There are also several pictures of him. He is buried in Wales. If you have read the book "Soul Survivor" about James Leninger you will learn that he named his dolls (action figures) after fellow pilots from his WWII ship that were shot down before he was. Here is something you might try, print out the photos of John Morgan Jones and put them where your son will find them. Don't tell him anything about who it is until he looks at them. See what his reaction is when he sees them.

A Sinking Spitfire!!!

Starting with vivid dreams that I began having as a young child when I could first tell the difference between Nightmare type dreams, Problems of the Day type dreams, Silly Nonsense type dreams and these vivid dreams of a possible Past Life (PL) where I was in a body that weighed far more than my then childhood body.

It took me till my teenage years before I fully understood about Reincarnation and Past Lives, you see, I was born into a strict, Methodist Church going family that did NOT discuss dreams about PL's and other so called Paranormal events or incidents, for they were considered to be "Works of the Devil" by my Grandmother who was a founding charter members of our family Methodist Church and was a pillar of the Church and a member of the WCTU dating back to Prohibition times!!!

Basically, I dreamed that my Spitfire was damaged coming back from the Continent or over the English Channel and the resulting damage caused the fighter to crash land in the waters in sight of the "White Cliffs of Dover" (hence my Avatar) and either the canopy over the cockpit was damaged in the dogfight or from the hard water landing, but it was jammed shut and would not open for me to escape.

The cockpit filled with seawater and I drowned and I remember a part of me, a "Lighter than Air" replica of my body, stepping through the solid side of the aircraft and walking several hundred feet in the murky water of the ocean bottom until I saw a glow of light in the distance.

I walked towards the glow of light and was enveloped by the warm glow of light and that was where the dream always stopped, and throughout the years (I'll be 62 in July) I would on occasion dream of additional snippets of that same theme, but the core of the dream would always remain the same and never changing.

In this current lifetime, I have a great fondness for music of the 30's and the 40's and a special love for the songs of Vera Lynn (now a Dame of the English court) in addition to all type's of English food and flashbacks on occasion of scenes of old England from the 1920's onwards.

And on occasion, I will spell words and speak words in the English style which amused my Parent's and my Peers to no end and I still do these things such as crossing my 7's on the downward leg and using such words as "cheek" as in "What a Bloody Cheek" to register my disgust over something or someone.

Sorry for the rather long post.

Hydrolad, you may have helped me make a decision, to wit, don't go contacting a past life self's Methodist family talking about reincarnation. OMG

Check the link in argonne19818's last post. It's a long story to go into, but it appears that this may have been who the person was in a past life.

Your memory is both fascinating and sad. I'm beginning to have a lot of compassion for the boys in the RAF--and I say "boys" on purpose, because most of the casualties seem to have been so pathetically young.

To Anna H.

I looked at the site the link (you mentioned) led me to, but that "Familiar Feeling" wasn't there.

Recently, during a time of sleep disturbances, I had a very vivid burst of a dream where I was seeing two Women (One Older and the other one Younger) visiting a graveyard at an old "Norman" style Church where they were met by the Vicar.

It was, as if I was an observer in the dream and I felt strongly that I knew who these Women were, the Older Woman I felt was my Mother in that lifetime and the Younger Woman was my Girlfriend back then.

They were both dressed in Black and I felt the Older Woman was a Widow who was comfortable in her finances, if not somewhat well off and had hired my former girlfriend as a live-in companion, but in spite of that arrangement, they appeared to have a genuine affection for each other (as in a Mother-Daughter type of way.)

A spoken reference to my RAF rank (I believe it was the Vicar) brought forth the word "Flying Officer" as it was inferred that it was on a tombstone in the Church graveyard and a certain Anglican hymn I have a fondness for in this lifetime, I felt was being sung in the Church and could be heard outside, the hymn in question was (and is) "Abide with Me."

There seems to be a lot of details in "Just" a dream, but the knowledge of those events in that dream, was like a sudden burst of details that was "Presented" to me again after I woke up so I might not forget the dream.

In closing, somebody (perhaps it was my Sub-Conscious mind) wanted me to remember this dream and provided me with all of these details that fit so well with what I already knew of that Past Life.

To argonne1918:

No, I'm afraid not, I saw a tombstone, but could not read anything on it.

The vocal exchange between my "possible" Mother and my "possible" Girlfriend was pretty sterile, there was no mention of any names, just terms of endearment like Dear, Yes Mum and so forth and I never heard my then Mother's last name, that would have given me a clue.

It would appear that I was given enough information by my Spirit Guides to peak my curiosity, but not enough to solve anything. :(

I always wonder why they do that. They show you something that catches your attention and then leave you hanging. I have been trying to remember more of the past lives I have been shown, but rarely do I succeed other than being shown other lives. Perhaps its just a way of saying, "Here are a few lives yo have had", reinforcing that you have lived before. However, it seems somewhat unfair.

A Good Question

Yes Sir, it does to me also, why was I shown 2 dreams as a young child and no more, [1] a RAF WWII pilot who took a bath in the English Channel and drowned, and [2] as a young boy, possibly in Maine (when I was 10, out of the clear Blue sky, I picked Maine as my subject on a Book report on the US States) who was attacked by a large animal and killed, causing a OOBE that I knew nothing about as a child in this life.

Come on Guides, let's have some variety here, for goodness sakes, was I also a "Horse Thief" or something??? LOL
;)

We did that in 5th grade. I picked Massachusetts. Or maybe I ended up with that, I can't remember.

Anna H. another method I've seen used by parents from the show Ghost Inside my Child is to print out a lineup of pictures with only one being the correct picture of the child's possible past life. Lay them all out in fron of the child without giving a hint as to which picture you want him to pick. He or should be able to point out a picture he recognizes. Try not to help the child or coach them along. This method is the best because, for instance, many studies have been done regarding police suspects and witnesses and they do the same thing so the person doesn't know who to pick and there's no bias. Showing only a picture of who he may have been could be a form of coaching as the child may feel a need to please the parent.

We had a private conversation. Without being told anything about the picture he looked at it and said "I think that's me".

An update:

The person I have been talking about is not a child, but has had past life memories since childhood. They are consistent and don't vary over time.

As a child, he was old for his age. He knows things he shouldn't have knowledge of. At age three, taking his first plane ride (this time around) he grilled the pilot. "Do you have your maps? Do you have enough fuel?" At age six, he informed his family that the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz couldn't have rusted, because tin doesn't rust. As an adult, volunteering at a warplane museum, he realized that he didn't need to read the manual on the Allison air-cooled engine (an obsolete design not used since the 1950's) because he already knew how it worked.

So, after argonne1918 did the research cited in one of his posts on this thread--thanks again--I showed the guy the pictures of John Morgan Jones. He identified him as his past life self.

As a Welshman John Morgan Jones would probably have known that. I didn't know it until now.

The P51 Mustang came from the American factory with a General Motors Allison engine. The British quickly discovered it was inferior. They replaced it with the Rolls Royce Merlin engine.
