Abortion at 16

I had an abortion when I was 16 then got pregnant at 18 and had the baby and it was a girl. My daughter is 5 now and last week she said "Mommy, I remember the doctors ripping me out from your stomach when you were 16 and I died" this really scared the heck out of me.

Welcome to the forum Katie,

Have you read any of Carol' Bowman's books? I highly suggest that you do.....some wonderful information in both of them.

Please keep up posted on your experiences, and your daughters memories.

Oh My God! Could THIS be what my daughter was talking about when she said that I killed her?

This is not at all easy for me to admit, not even to people that I will probably never meet, but I have had 2 abortions. Once when I was 17 and with a very abusive boyfriend. I was almost 3 months pregnant when he decided he didn't want it and kicked me in the stomache to 'make me lose it'! When that didn't work he forced me to have an abortion. I did NOT want to do it, but when you are in an abusive situation you are not thinking clearly! That was the beginning of the end of our relationship. THANK GOD!!

The 2nd one was with my husband now. We were not married at the time and aside from wishing to "save face" to our family and friends, I don't have a 'good' reason for what we did.

I have NEVER gotten over losing those 2 babies and have always, in the back of my mind, harbored guilt, especially when I look at my 2 kids now. The funny thing is, there is also a part of me that feels they are the 2 I aborted so long ago, and that thought has comforted me in times of grief.

However, with Shiannes proclimation the other day, it puts this into a different perspective. Although, she did say it was the fire (read post below), so I guess I could be reaching here for an answer and also FORGIVENESS for what I did.

But maybe those abortions are the hidden cause for all of the dreams I mentioned earlier (about hurting my kids or even killing them) and also for the general feelings of inadequacy as a Mother.

I have tried to ask her about what she said and she won't talk about it now. I guess I will have to wait until she brings it up again.

Maybe it's time for ME to have a regression!

Hi Tammy,

As you can imagine.,..it was not easy for me to start that thread either!!!!!!! Both of mine were in my early twenties...about 20 years ago (cringe age detection!!!!!!!)

Have you read Carol's second book and the chapter on abortion?

Have you ever done a regression?

Sadly, no to both questions. I just finished her first book a few days ago, as a matter of fact. I assume you have had regression's. Did you discover much right away, or did it take time? Did you have to be ready mentally for it? How did it change your life?
Sorry, I am just still a little apprehensive about it.

i never ever thought about this before...

I've never had a connection with my dad-Spiritual, or physical. I dont even look anything like him, and its always made me wonder why i've never believed he was my real dad. this may hold the key...

After reading this thread, i asked my mother if was her first pregnancy. She said no. Since i know she had trouble getting pregnant when she was with my dad, due to endometriosis, i asked if she'd lost the previous one through a miscarriage. She shaked her head, and looked away. I then said "abortion" and her face fell and she said yes. I then asked if it was when she was with my dad, and she once again said no, that it was years and years before she met him.

Since i was very young- about two years of age, i've told him that i don't/didn't believe he was my real father. And i've never ever believed he's my real father. I know it hurts him to hear this, but its the truth. And this thought of abortion, might be why i dont believe he's my dad. I've seen my birth certificates (both of them- I'm half american. half british) which has his name clearly printed on them, so legally he is my father, as far as i've been told. It might also explain why my mother and i are so close, and how when im away from her for more than a few hours, i start to worry, and get scared that something will happen that i wont see her again. The fear was far greater when i was younger, but i will probably always have a little bit of it for my whole life.

Could these two things; of my fear of losing her, and the abortion idea be linked? Would it also make sense about my ideas of my dad not being my father?

wow! I know this isn't really what this thread is about, but I think it might in where same family reincarnation does- twice!

I think that when my mother in law lost a set of twins, I might have been one of them her andi had always been close and never knew why, She said when she first saw me she had a weight lift off her shoulders, and that "she knew me" I met her when I was 10 years old, My brother married her daughter in '79. I married my sister-in-laws brother the year those two got divorved. So we are all still "family" but when I first met her, I felt like I should call her mom and asked if it would be ok, I mentioned this to her since I have been spending time reading these threads- contiplating, and this is when she told me her same thoughts, she said I have the same mole on my chin as her brother, Now what is strange is, i am adopted- my adoptive mother had 12 miscarriages before she gave up and adopted me, She said she knew I was the one when she saw me and her and I are very close and have this little telepathy thing going, but I also have the same thing with my mother in law- like she has with her own kids where I am concered but I can pick her vibes up where her natural children can't so I now wonder did I nest for a short time "in" two different women and subsequently end up with the same two different women, as mothers? and really for the life of me can't figure out if it did happen this way- why? why not just be born to one, and be done with it, unless the age difference might have made it difficult to meet/marry my husband, but then he might have ended up as my brother, it boggles my mind-

I might be one odd out here, but i think that there is nothing wrong with an abortion.
Its not a murder. Its a nesessity.

I haven't had one, but i will, should i get pregnant when i'm not ready to have a child.

My mother had 2 or 3 abortions. I must say even if i remembered being one of those kids, being ripped out of her body (i don't!)
then i'd have definitely forgiven her (and any other woman) for doing that, because they have their reasons.

I think we sould not turn abortion into a tragedy, because then we sing along with all these abortion-protesters, who, if they can help, will turn woman's life into hell.

As far as i'm concerned - i want to be a WANTED child, or NOT be at all.
There is nothing wrong with not being at all.
You'll be born to someone else sooner or later...

Katie,
Your post gave me goosebumps. I felt like I was reading about myself.

I too had an abortion at 16...I had 2 abortions as well. To make a long story short (I posted it somewhere before), I firmly believe my 2 children now, are my 2 children who I aborted. They are exactly the same ages apart that they would have been ( and I wasn't trying to start a family with my husband). Everything for a reason, and everything interlinks. If anything, when I came to that realization, I could get rid of the tremoundous amount of pain and guilt I was carrying around.

Take care,
Julie

Hi Katie
I too had an abortion at 16. The tech inadvertantly said there are 2! I blocked that out for a very long time. All my life I said whern I grow up I am going to have twins. So finally I dealt with the fact that I ahem..killed my twins.

BUT I got pregnant at 26 and had twins again. My DDs never said anything about this to me but I often wondered if they were reborn and just really wanted to be with me. I told them that they were the best of friends in heaven and didn't want to separate so they came to me together. In first grade one of the girls wrote a story about that, when i read it I started crying right there in the classroom at open house!

So there is hope and trust if your children come to you again and HEY we all did what we had to do!! Whe you are 16 in my opinion, there is no other choice! So forgive yourself!!
JTW
