Accepting my memories as from a previous life - opened me up to mediumship?

Good morning everyone!

I hope the subject I am raising is not going against the rules of the forum - if so, kindly let me know and I will get rid of the thread.

The topic I wish to raise in this thread is the relationship I have with my past 'identity', and how acknowledging him has led me to routinely have exchanges with other souls.

I have shared my story regarding the memories I carry of the life of Eugen in the Waffen-SS. While I have been very open to share details, there is one aspect that I have left out of my thread as I didn't want to mix everything: which is that accepting these images and visions have also opened my senses to messages from other souls who have passed.

I have always felt, throughout my life, that I was sometimes being influenced by other's thoughts, wether these 'others' are alive, or no longer here with us. I did however completely dismiss what I received from "the other side" (let's put is this way), as I had no way of integrating these experiences in my life - I had no one in my family or entourage who talked about it, I had a very biased view of Mediums since I only heard of them from skeptic sources.

However I have to say that the path to accepting my visions as past life memories came after the passing of my Grandfather, to whom I was very close. He was a D-Day veteran (he was english) and we both shared a passion for genealogy - we traced our family history down to the 1400s on my english side of the tree. Our very special bond never faded away, and the very moment he passed - I was in France at the time - it's as if he joined me and I remember feeling like he was there, telling me how much better he felt now, how he felt like he was swimming in endless love and peace, and how happy he was to see again - he was blind by the time he passed.

As I worked in China, he visited me regularly in thoughts and dreams, and was the one to lead me to the path to my past identity. I find it funny that my English D-day veteran of a grandfather, who introduced me to genealogy, was the one to lead me to remembering a past life as a German soldier! We have a very close bond and he is living a very interesting experience on the other side. He is a beautiful, warm and colourful soul.

But, now that a few years have passed and that I have grown to be much more comfortable with the exchanges with spirits, I feel at peace with sharing that I have had the great honour to give messages from the other side.

I have so far had exchanges with about 15 souls or so, some of them from my family - interestingly, I didn't know one of them, but he described who he was, and that lead me to uncover a family secret that I am grateful to have played a part in acknowleding - some of them that I didn't know.

As of now, I can say that some of them - especially two - have somehow always taken a very close watch at my life and are here to guide me. They have been kind enough to reveal themselved to me and I find it very interesting to see their "background" as they are probably the furthest away from what I would have imagined.

Some others have merely used my presence to pass a message to people I was with. I am glad to be able to give messages of love and forgiveness from the other side, and find it very beautiful that sometimes all it takes is simple words to pass for someone's life to take a new turn. Sometimes the messages are more complex, and are testimonies from souls who left too many things untold.

One last thing, as it was something I was wondering for a long time: I used to ask myself wether or not I would be able to share with souls who had lived in China, and didn't speak the languages I speak now. Well, after two very deep and humbling exchanges, I can say that it doesn't matter at all! Love knows no boundaries, it seems.

I thank you all for giving me the confidence to share with you all, and I would be very interested in knowing if you all, fellow friends, have experienced the acknowledgement of your past identities as the start of a big spiritual awakening.

Have a beautiful day!

Benjamin

I’ve felt a very specific presence around ever since I’ve been experiencing these things regarding my past life. Lately, I’ve also been noticing so many things military related surrounding me. It’s like these things just pop up out of no where. Not sure if it’s just because I’m noticing it more, or if it’s something else.

I mentioned this on my thread but I’m not sure if you’ve come across it before. The presence is very very comforting (it’s a masculine presence), and most of the time it shows up is when I’m confused about information regarding my past life, or just my past life in general. Sometimes I’ll also feel the presence around when I’m feeling down, it’s very distinct (I also get chills only on the right side of my body when this presence is around). I do believe this presence is my PL self, or maybe it could a close friend from a past life? I’m not completely sure.

Another thing I think is odd, is recently I’ve been feeling like I’m really missing a brother. I’m not sure where this feeling is coming from but it’s quite odd to experience, especially since I don’t have a brother in this life (although I’ve always wanted one). I’m not sure if anyone’s felt something similar, but if you have, let me know.

The first paragraph you wrote is extremely similar to how I experienced my self-discovery. I was noticing a very odd presence around myself. It was very unlike the other presences I have felt around me, before and after. It was both distressing and also very familiar, very comforting. It came along a lot of unexpected finds, such as military items and signs all around me. I would walk around a market in China and, among a lot of random items, I found a SS officer cap.. It was so random and yet, triggered such a strong emotional reaction from me. This presence, obviously masculine, would show up when I was having some low moments. I would be distressed by things I either read or remembered, and here I would have this old friend coming along. I had trouble identifying him until he presented himself the following night after discovering the past name of my previous identity (because, prior to that, I had not tried to remember my name, I didn't want to find his identity. I guess a part of me wanted to keep it undisclosed, it made it easier to dismiss all these visions and memories as from my imagination).

Because the whole story I experienced was a bit unexpected, you know. It's almost as if I had allies up there, I like to call them guides, that decided that it was time for me to finally remove the cover I had on these past memories. Eugen, and his presence, were a very helpful guide and I now understand that he was also very involved, through me, to help me/him finally turn the page.

About your feeling of missing a brother, I haven't experienced it, so I can't give you any feedback on that.

In any case, trust your instinct, trust yourself and know that you are loved and protected dearly. I don't believe that one is left alone in such a process - as I have a strong feeling that you are now embarking on a fantastic journey of self-discovery, and it will change a lot of perspectives for you. I am glad that me and the other members are allowed to help you, in our own way, in this journey of self-discovery that you have now embarked on :)

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask! I am always happy to help a fellow soul on this unique adventure.

That’s also how I could identify the presence as being different, since it feels so much different then the ones I’ve felt around me before.

Lately I’ve had it happen multiple times where I’ll be out somewhere, and I think it’s like I’m “drawn” to look a certain direction. Then I’ll randomly turn around to look or my gaze will quickly switch and there’ll be someone in a military uniform, or something military related. I also have this weird thing where I’ll look at something, and it feels like I’ve been “triggered” by it. Like I’ll be doing something/ see something (for example, this happened one time when I saw a plane) then all of the sudden I’ll get in this weird state where I’m kind of zoned out and I feel like a memory of some sort is resurfacing then it’ll fade away. Not really sure how to explain it.

When you started experiencing this stuff with your past life, did you ever react to something differently then before? For instance, lately I’ve been extremely sensitive to loud noises, well some of the noises aren’t even that loud. I’ll hear the garage door open or a door will shut somewhere and my body totally freaks out and I’ll jump. I don’t even know if that has something to do with this (but I’ve never really been affected by loud noises before) but it’s only occurred since this stuff has started happening.

I was an only child, but always felt I was a twin, and maybe the other one died. That might have been the case, as my mother was very large when expecting me. I don't think my pl self had a brother, so it probably wasn't that. We shall never know.
I'm a twin but my brother never grew beyond 5 or 6 months during pregnancy

I can still feel him around, even know his name, like some of you can sense your Past Life's energy I can feel my twin brother, my cousin and others when they're around

My partner had an identical twin that died shortly before birth. They shared the same placenta, womb, etc. Do you feel your twin has incarnated elsewhere, CanSol?

Before discovering the ideology of Reincarnation, I often felt as though there was a presence around me. They never presented themselves with a name and, sometimes, when I'd give them one they'd 'disappear'.

Then, I discovered the ideas of reincarnation, and the presence grew stronger. It became my guide through regressions, although I often deviated from the proposed path and adamantly called the presence a wrong name [Jakob]. Every time I called the presence by the wrong name, the memories would grow dim or disappear altogether. They would be replaced by fantasies. Then, a fortnight or so ago, I tried again to identify my past. As soon as I saw a face of one of her companions, there was this immediate recognition. It was a sense of I'd seen him before, and in my dreams. 'Jakob' was actually Harry, and Harry had been the kind eyes that I had seen throughout regressions. Kind eyes were a prevalent image in my visions of the past, and Harry has a piercingly sharp yet warm gaze. Memorable, to say the least!

Ever since I put a proper name to 'Kind Eyes', I've felt a loving and near-constant presence with me in almost all that I do. At times, as I walk around, I feel like I ought to be on his arm and dashing through autumnal leaves or prancing through puddles. At other times, glimpses of dancing flash in my mind, and my initial reaction is always "I can't dance right now, Harry"! Even when I use the name, the presence remains. Suggesting that, after months of searching, I've struck gold.

As for the other topic within the thread, with departed siblings, you could say that, officially, I'm not the first child in my family. There was to be another, but my mother miscarried. They were far enough along to know the child was a girl. I don't sense her, or anyone else from this life, around me. There is only Harry.

@yvettebruneau
I’m glad he is still with you and that you feel love and comfort from his presence.

I feel that the presence has been accompanying me more and more lately. I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night (from odd dreams) and I’ll feel the presence in my room. I’ll also be out somewhere or driving and I’ll feel him (I’ll refer to the presence as he since it’s a masculine presence) with me. Seems as is if he’s just hanging out, accompanying me. I still feel very comforted and an overall very positive familiarity when he shows up.

Ken, I also get the feeling that - as I'm driving around - Harry is with me, in the passenger seat. Just, as with your spiritual companion, hanging out as we might if he were still alive. Unfortunately, in a way, I can't sense Etienne [the PL husband] around, so that suggests to me that he has reincarnated. Either before I did, or some time after that I'm unaware of. However, Harry has made himself known to me at last, after years of sensing some kind of presence over my shoulder.

So, while he could never truly act on his feelings for my past self, he's kind of muscled in [in Etienne's absence]!

Oh, have you tried contacting Etienne? As in praying to him out loud or something?

I think the presence around me is actually my past life self, but of course I’m not completely sure. If not, maybe the presence is a really close friend from a PL, or maybe a brother.
