After you catch a glimpse of a pl, how do you proceed?

Kislany

Just searching...
I just want to put this question up as I'm sure many starting out are wondering exactly that.
So you've had your first glimpse in a past life, be it with the help of a meditation CD, dream, or a spontaneous memory, or a regression. And then you ask yourself, 'how do I proceed from here, what do I do so I can get more impressions, more memories from that (or another) past life. What do I do next?'

For those who are beyond starting out and care to share, what are the methods that you personally use to continue your pl remembering journey?

i have always seen memories as having to do with things I need to work out--ie get in touch with feelings I have stuffed away.. ONce I remember something I try and look at how I really feel about that impression.

I will ask God for the wisdom to understand what it is I am to understand. Depending on the memory I will use different techniques..

I use body movement to try and make me feel empowered if it is a scarey memory. THrough feeling that I can act in my now by just moving some release often happens. . I will use visualization to remind myself I am safe now . More particulars about that memory may surface as I visualize a good outcome in that time. And then I may also feel intuitively that I need to remember a bit more about my experience then or yet another lifetime with those people from that life .

If it is a sense of being too strongly attached to someone -- ie family, husband/wife I will try and remember all that I can until I see something in myself that is preventing me from standing up for myself. I look for promises I had made and then make another strong opinion in order to counteract that poor self esteem, showing that core beleif is wrong..

Sometimes I just get on with my life and hope to have someone help me out with that issue.

I guess it depends a little, but I often just think about what I've just experienced, and usually I get some strong intuituive feelings about that lifetime. Then if I'm curious to find out more, I meditate or do a regression. Usually I also share the experience with my closest friends, who are also interested in past lives. We are always curious about each others' experiences and they can often make useful comments.

Then if there's something that I think could be validated, I'll try to look for that validating information from different places.

Thanks Karoliina and Nanciwell for the replies. Interesting points here.

Anybody else would like to add some more experiences in this area?

Hi Kislany,

Good question! :D

The first thing I do is record everything in a journal.

If there is something specific I can use for a validation, for example, something I heard - then I will usually do a bit of googling to see if what I heard is correct. Generally I try to stay away from researching until I have enough information to go on.

An example of this - recently I had several experiences as a young girl being locked in a room - a woman (whom I felt to be a nurse) came into the room and started to cut off my hair - because it was "taking my strength." I spent some time googling and found a specific reference to it - and how it was apparently common belief at one point.

I felt I could connect this girl to another memory from my journals, so I flipped through and found the parts I was looking for. I didn't try to "make it fit," but it just simply fell into place and I knew exactly what it was about. However, there is a huge possibility for validation here - so I mainly want to take it slowly and record everything I can before searching more.

Where do I go from here? Well - now I can choose to set an intention before sleeping or prior to a meditation, asking to see what it is I need to heal from - or some other personal question to focus on.

Often for me, when something is new - it will keep coming up over and over again in dreams and meditations, so I take a lot of notes. :D

I think there are a lot of methods and ways of accessing your memories - but I also think it's important not to push it and to let them come naturally to you. I believe that in a meditation - consciousness takes me where I need to be, even if it's not where I want to be....lolol

Hiya Kislany,

There has already been given some great advice here, but I just thought that I would stress that personally I think a journal is the most valuable tool :)

Write down every detail you can possible think of - even if it doesn't make sense to you at first. I have experienced many times how a seemingly 'bad' regression or meditation actually can surprise by the amount of detail when it's written down.

So it seems a journal or diary is the best way to go, to start at least. It's a good thought, because I've started having small flashbacks, and they are so random, and seemingly from different lifetimes, so logging all these experiences will help me out later on when I'll try to put the pieces together

Good question! :)

Maybe it sounds strange but I do not have any methods. By me starts a memory often with strange feelings en "intuitive knows" about a past life. Often I can't do anything with that, because it is too vague. I think about it, en feels the feelings to process it. Later there came spontaneously more when I have processed the first things. After that I know more about a past life and often are some of the "intuitive knows" about which I thought "fantasy" true. Later there came sometimes pictures and "little movies" in my head. The order differents sometimes, I have to say.

So I get some memories and when I have processed these I get more. It comes "little by little" because in the beginning I am not ready for some things.

I remember things about different lifes through each other too, but often I know by which life it fitted. Only when I began to make stories of vague memories I made mistakes about the lifestory and by which life it fitted. So I try not to think about it too much and just wait when there comes spontaneously more.

Writing things down is a good idea. I have never done it in the beginning, but later I have write some things about it.

I have never done research about it, but I remember no facts that you can check.

I often experience how a regression leads the way for many spontaneous flashbacks. When I read through my journal I'm really happy I wrote them down - it's amazing how quickly you forget things and details that may suddenly come in handy ;)
