Amy's diabetes

Hi
This is my first post. I have just finished reading Carol's book and I was blown away with such wonderful experiences. After reading a lot of the posts on this site I would like to say thatI feel such wonder and peace with these experiences.
I would like to ask a few questions with hopes that maybe someone could tell me.
My 2 year daughter Amy has type 1 diabetes and is on an insulin pump 24/7. She was diagnosed when she was 19 months old. I have always felt that she was older than her years with such a vast vocab and wonderful insight into things. She has been talking about "Corrnia" for sometime now and has just started to say that she misses her. She (Corrnia) dosen't live in our house but visits Amy in her bedroom at night. I don't know how much of this is her imagination or if this is real which is how I treat it.
My question is how can I nurture this and help her?
I was told from a healer that she was an old soul and was able to see things. She also told me that within the year she would start with an imginary friend and that we were to believe her because she actually was seeing someone.
My next question is about her diabetes, is it possible that this could be from a previous life?
Thank you for reading
Carol

Hello Carol and welcome,

My husband is type 1 too and I posted a question on the "Reincarnation and Adult's Past Lives " about this subject (title is: Diabete and past lives). If you want to read, Kelly give me a good answer. Kathy respond too in the Foreign Language section if you read french. My husband would try a regression in two weeks to found where the diabetes come from. Will let you know if something come up from this.

Bye !

Hi Amethyste and Cash...

Amethyste...please post your husband's experiences after he's finished with his regression. My dear friend was born with diabetes and we have discussed the possibilities and "what-if's" about diabetes and a possible past life connection, but have not come up with any real answers or theories.

We are hoping someone will be able to shed some light on this subject and perhaps your husband might just be the one to do that.

Blessings all!

Jereldeen

I'd like to share a perspective on your search for the origins of your disease.

First, it's possible that any disease, physical, emotional or mental has its origins in a past life. But that doesn't mean that it necessarily does have its origins there. It's just as possible that the origins lie totally within this lifetime.

Also, I would caution anyone from inferring too much from what another person gets from a past life regression. Two people can have the same or a similar disease but that disease can have very, very different origins. Many times I have had clients come to me with virtually the same symptom (emotional or physical) as another client, but their healing and the information we received about the origins of their symptom were very, very different.

For this reason it's always best to find out from within yourself whatthe origins of your situation are. Look to others for ideas and persectives and possibilities, but rely only on your own experience to find your own truth,

Blessigs,

bob

Thank you for your wonderful replies.
I would like to take this futher with more research but I'm not sure where to start really.
I have been told that Amy has had many hardships in her previous lives but what they were I don't know.
I do feel that since Amy was diagnosed I have grown from her wonderful spirit and I look at things in a whole new light.
I was a very angry person before why I do not know but Amy has such a calm do not worry attitude that I get so much strength from her.
If her diabetes is from this lifetime to help her learn something how can I help her?
I just had a thought, could she be here trying to help me learn something through her diabetes? That sounds very big headed but I just wonder.
Thank you
Carol

To Bob:
Your last sentence explain very well the purpose of my husband (you describe it more better than i could have :-) ) "Look to others for ideas and persectives and possibilities, but rely only on your own experience to find your own truth".

To all:
I said i will let you know what comes out from his regression, so here it is: His diabetes is a choice of his soul. This choice have been made for 2 reasons:
1) For my husband to learn to love himself.

2) For bring him back to energy and his healing forces. He have to heal himself first, then he could heal others.

To Carol:
For Amy's diabetes, does a big change happened near her diagnosis ? Like a new baby, changing home, you go back to work, new babysitter ...
Look at her drawings too even if it is maybe still just a bunch of lines. Here is what i saw with the boy of a friend. At 3, he was very late in his speaking habilities. A day when we visited them, he begin to draw. He first draw blue (color of the expression) lines in a peaceful way. Then he take the black (color of pain, grief) pencil and kind of darting it to the paper and pressing very hard on the pencil and put a lot of black !! He was expressing his pain of not being able to speak. His mom bring him to a specialist and do exercises with him for his speaking habilities. It improve a lot. Weeks later, they were visiting us. Again, he draw a bunch of blue lines and then ask for the color orange. He put a lot of orange which mean joy, taking action !! Maybe the drawings of Amy could give you ideas on what she is experiencing now.

You asked "could she be here trying to help me learn something through her diabetes? "
I think it's a possibility. I asked myself the same question with my husband diabete. I certainly learned from his disease. One example: At 9pm, he was going to the stable to check on the cows and this was taking half on hour. He often came back from this with a very low blood sugar level without sensing it ( it was the glucometer which tell us). At that time, i was afraid of the low's, didn't like it at all. I don't remember what made me stop to fear the lows, but when i did it, he stop having such lows !!! My fear was having an impact on him !!

Good day to all!

Hi All

I just come across something in my "natural/herbal" health monthly updates that made me immediately remember this thread, so I thought I'd throw it in quick

Nutritional scientists at Toronto University in Canada beleive that Ginseng could become a replacement for the hormone insulin, which is used to treat people with diabetes. Tests revealed that taking the herb before a meal reduced the blood sugar levels of patients: When tested after eating, their levels had fallen by 20%.

Ginseng may also help prevent diabetes developing in those at risk. However, despite the initial success, doctors are advising diabetics not to use the herb instead of their usual treatment until more extensive trails are carried out.

Sounds promising to all those out there looking for alternatives....and natural as well

Lots of Love

Kelly
