an interesting incident

Reading about children who remember their past lives has made me recall an incident that happened a year ago while at work. I used to work for a very small company (just 4 of us) and my former boss's wife used to come in once in a while with her 4 year old son. One day she told us an 'amusing' story about Ollie (their son). They had been having some work done on their house for the past several months when a new contractor, who already was an acquaintance of the family took over the project. When he came to the house Ollie, who was a quiet and shy child immediately jumped up to greet him, calling out 'Hi Roger!' Ollie's parents laughed because the man's name was Tom. Ollie sat with them while they talked to Tom and did not take his eyes off of him. He said several times more, 'hi Roger' and eventually, 'Don't you remember me, its George!' Ollie's parents thought this was hilarious, especially since every time Tom came to the house each morning to start work Ollie would call him Roger.

Unfortunately, my former boss was not the type of person who would have accepted the notion of past lives. I imagine that Ollie has since been encouraged to forget.

A very cute story! Too bad the parents weren't more open though!
