Ancient Egypt

Truth seeker, I have revelations by reading history and seeing photos of ancient sites. After seeing a photo of the ruins of the great temple of Amon at Karnak a vision of the temple as it was in its glory came to me, even with pennants on the collonades waving in the breeze! Sometimes even a small glimpse can be a trigger to open pages of a past life, almost like surfing the net! I would not say with certainty that this is not subconscious fantasy, but it sure seems real.

Not to disprove your claims or say that you are wrong, but isn't it weird how everyone is either pharoahs, priests, or some form of royalty? Barely anyone was in these caste system postions back then and it seems that everyone is one of them. Noone remembers, ohh yes I was a poor farmer. Instead its, "I was a pharoah". Not saying that you guys are wrong, but it makes you think about it.

HI,

One thing that I have noticed in all my research regarding past lives..is that sometimes a person will identify so strongly with a famous or royal person during a past life memory..when seeing a royal person they believe that that person is them. Telling the difference between your own past lives and someone else's then can be tricky.

So - those of you that believe you were Pharaohs' -- I would ask..what specific memories do you have that help illustrate the memory as your own? INTENSE feelings, emotions, actions taken -- specific rituals of initiation? Intimate details?

Other wise..just remembering a Pharaoh, which people at the time worshipped as a God..doesn't mean you were one, just that you remember one.

I am not saying that anyone here was not a Pharaoh or Priestess..but I do want to ground the conversation and look at all the possibilities.

I have a strong attachment to the reign of Seti I. This does not mean I was Seti, but it could possibly mean I lived during his reign.

In the few posts in this string we have Nefertiti, Cleopatra, and Ramsess II (or 3rd). The three most famous kings of ancient Egypt are on this message board! We also have high priests and priestess'.

99.999% of the ancient Egyptians were famers who lived very mundane lives. Yet, not one person here recalls a life in this atmosphere, always the dramatic, I was king <insert name here>. I'm sure if you polled a group of 100 people believing to have had past lives in ancient Egypt the numbers would look like this:

30% - Tutankhamen
20% - Cleopatra
20% - Ramsess
20% - Akhenaten
5% - Khufu
5% - Misc

Where did the 200 or so lesser known kings and their high officials go? Why aren't they reincarnating? Where's Djedfere, Huni, Sneferu, Myserankh, Menkaure, Shepseskaf, Neferirkare, and Menkauhor? These were all great kings of ancient Egypt, but they are little known. Why don't people remember being thse folks?

I think the answer is clear. The average person doesn't know about them.

BTW - Ramsess didn't have a female spokesperson and Nefertiti did not raise Tutankhamen.

Note that when I gave percentages I said "If..". My intention is to add my opinion.

The life and reign of Ramsess II is the most documented era in Egyptian history. We know everything from what his courtesans ate to the names of all 200 children he produced and from which wife they came. Ramsess II did not have a female spokesperson - in fact, this was unheard of in ancient Egypt, there would not be such a title.

I don't have a bubble to bust. When I'm talking about ancient Egypt I base my perceptions on the comprehension of archaeological and egyptological evidence. While I might have emotions for this or that theory, my adherence to evidenced theory is in no way affected. There is a lot with regards to ancient Egypt I want to be true, but it simply isn't.

Re: Ramsess II's children, check out Dr. Kent Week's find at KV5. He found the tomb of most of the sons, they were buried together. http://www.kv5.com

There were different types of priests in ancient Egypt and their roles varied depending on the era you're talking about, their position, etc.

Priests who served gods, kings and queens were called hem-neter priests (God's servants). Those in the cults of non-royal and private persons were called hem-ka (Ka servants). The cults of both royal and private persons also demanded the services of the we'b priests (purificators). We'b priests served the king during his lifetime, and the title was common among physicians. I could go on in more detail about the differences in the roles of these priests but your question doesn't really require it. If you wish to know more, just ask.

No, priests were not celibate and they were allowed to marry. The kind of clothes they wore depended on, once again, time, position and sex. Generally Hem-neter priests wore a linin kilt and cheetah skin shirt.

Hi,

In "The Egyptian Book of the Dead," the teacher and God, Osiris asks Thoth how long he had to live. Thoth replied, “It is decreed that thou shalt live for millions of millions of years.”

The names of the first two kings of the xx-th dynasty attest to the belief in reincarnation as well; Amonemhat I’s name translates to “He who repeats births,” and Sensusert I’s name was “He who’s births live.” In the xix-th dynasty Setekhy I was “Repeater of births,” Reincarnation is found in the texts and is implied in symbolism throughout ancient Egypt.

Herodotus, the Greek historian (5th century B.C.), wrote that;

“the Egyptians were the first to teach that the human soul is immortal, and at the death of the body enters into some other living thing then coming to birth;”

The white crown of Egypt.

Hello all.
I've been continuing with my Egyptian meditation, following on the scarab headed priests (posted here some while ago).
For ages I've been stuck with watching feet and legs in a procession (and a really good view of sand!!!). This was beginning to get rather tedious.
However I've had the next breakthrough. Not much, but probably fairly significant.
One of the pairs of legs/feet belonged to a pharaoh. At last I got to focus on more and saw clearly that one was wearing the white crown of Upper Egypt.
I checked this out and found that the white crown was given to the pharaoh's by Nekhbet, a goddess. She was usually depicted in vulture form - hovering above the head of the pharaoh. Which makes it quite appropriate that I was hovering above the head of him too!
I DON'T THINK I'M A GODDESS OR A PHARAOH!! What I do think is that this is yet another instance (as in the crocodile and hippo dream from childhood) where I have retained some deep memory of the symbolism of that time. The goddess was the protector of the pharaoh and if he was somebody that figured large in my existance, I would think it would be right and proper that I would wish my spirit to be in that position.
I have a feeling that the first part of the memory (seeing the priests from above, obviously in a tomb) was the moment my spirit decided to stop lingering around my body. From there I reach the next point, where the procession is taking place.
I look forward to hearing any ideas anybody might have.
Love Gemeni.

Hi Gemeni,

I am going to be the thousand question queen here. I gather that you believe that the vision was a death scene -possibly yours? What kind of procession if not a burial? Is it possible you were OB but still alive? What feelings happened for you during the meditation? What time period do you think you lived in Egypt? Sand was the later dynasties I believe.

Looking forward to more.

Hello to you both and thanks for the replies.

I'll do my best to get some more Szofie, but I either seem to get lots or nothing for ages. If only we could control these things.
Anyway I'm happy you enjoy reading them and I'll go sit down later and try to get some more.

And Deborah, now for your questions. At the moment I have lots of bits of memory and dozens of bits of paper covered with scrawl, in which I'm trying to make sense of it all.
My first lead was my hippo and croc dream which I had over and over again as a child. Everything leads me to think that this was something from early Egypt. Probably around the time of Menes.
After the scarab headed priest memory I did some checking with some pretty knowledgeable Egyptologists, courtesy of their most excellent web site. I felt that I was throwing myself into the lions den (!) but they were extremely helpful and didn't send me a straight jacket by express courier. They seemed to think that this had all the hallmarks of being from around the era of Tutankhamon, so time has moved on somewhat.
This would fit in with the white crown and the procession.
As to why I think I am dead (then - not at this moment if you see what I mean!)(although I am feeling horribly tired today due to having to visit a very large shopping centre - my idea of hell!!). I can only say that I know. My gut feelings are very strong on this. I have left the body and am 'flying free' but am still unwilling to leave what means so much to me.
That is why I am above the pharaoh. He was somebody that I knew and must have been quite close to, although I don't know what the connection is yet.
I sometimes feel that I am visited by his spirit (daft though it may sound) and feel this huge rush of excitement when I sense this is happening. It always gives me one of those strange sobs that seems to start right in the centre of your heart, making tears flow instantly. Yet it's not an unpleasant feeling (if any of that makes any sense to you - in which case you can explain it to me!!!).
The man has gigantic presence and even greater arrogance - and yet also has this wonderful softness to his character. His opinion of most modern life is scathing to say the least!
I had no idea who this 'being' was, but as soon as I saw the white crown, I knew I'd found the man.
I sense that he finds the whole process that I'm going through 'entertaining' and is helping - but in a rather playful fashion.
O.K, so does all this qualify me for my ticket to the asylum?
Or does it go anyway to answering your questions? You see I don't think I'm looking at just one period here. I think there were several, but I'm trying very very hard to piece it together by NOT reading everything I can first. This way the memory comes from me (a prime blank canvas!) and I don't read things, then find facts coming in to place themselves as false memories.
Anyway unless my brain insists on getting back to the Chinese or other memories, I'll keep working on it all.
Love to you both. Gemeni.

HI Gemeni,

Actually - you answered my questions very well. Believe it or not -I do understand. And you know I cannot explain the feeling in your heart to you..it's beyond words!

I lived two lifetimes in Egypt -it was confusing to me for a while too..but it's the oldest memory -- from 3500BC that is so relevant for me today. I also understand why you don't want to read or research to much..but when your ready -- let me know. If your ever interested I will share my scarab memory with you too - just say the word.

I try to stay away from New Age stuff myself, going for the authors with Ph.D's and M.D's as much as possible. Just ground yourself -record your memories and experiences and reflect. You'll know when your ready.

One more question...*S*S* DO you see LIGHT when you meditate?

------------------
Deborah

If I could make a statement about what is real, the best I could do, is tell you how I feel.

Hi again fellow Egyptian!

It's great to know that you understand the feelings. I don't think most people would, do you! Certainly not where I live anyway. I think they'd have me locked in the stocks so they could chuck rotten cabbages in my direction!!
Yes, I see all kinds of lights when meditating. (I think I put quite a lot about them of a recent post about meditation, but I can't remember what the topic was - my chronic fatigue (very boring illness) is having a good go today and my brain seems to be full of mush). I have trouble not seeing lights when I close my eyes and even in a darkened room have to cover my closed eyes and my forehead to get the kind of dark I seek. Then I can get to the pictures beyond.

I managed to get a little bit more of the procession last night and will try again tonight. Will let you know the result. And I'd love to hear your scarab memory when you have the time to share it with me.
Do you share the 'arrogant visitor syndrome' as well? It always makes me smile when it happens. Mind boggling superiority to put it mildly. But then I suppose that would have been quite an easy thing for a pharaoh to practise should he have felt so inclined. I get the impression that it's done rather tongue in cheek though. I shall look forward to reading your experiences.
Love Gemeni.

OK first back to the Opening of the Mouth ceremony/images you saw - does this rings true for you -

The Egyptians called their 'genesis' Zep Tepi...or The First Time. Zep means TIME -- Tepi means FIRST. But they suggest that TEPI has other connotations, the basic meaning of the word Tep is mouth, and fundamentally meant 'The beginning or commencement of anything."

Quantum Physics suggests TIME - and SPACE are but an illusion. The rites and rituals of ancient Egypt repeatedly speak of the "opening of the mouth," -- this was the breaking away of the illusion.

The initiates and the Pharaohs were able to travel to the FIRST TIME. They knew how to experience non-locality, instantaneously.

As a side note - In India, the practice of yoga also talks about the "opening of the mouth" leading toward higher states of consciousness, and the breaking away of the illusion of time and space. Coincidence? How do you feel about this Gemeni? Thoughts?

Hi again Deborah and thanks for the replies.

Firstly those darn lights!! I think I've said on other posts that I'm no expert on anything that's happening to me - it's just happening and I basically sit back and enjoy the ride! Lazy thing that I am! I've always had strange experiences in my life and just accepted long ago that I was 'different' without really questioning why. I just was/am and I've always been quite happy with that.
Meditation is something that I can do. I've never had to try and I've never really read anything much about it. What you're dealing with here is a total amateur I'm afraid. I used to have friends who would sit for hours trying to get into a trance state, but I seem to be able to pop off whenever I like. I had no idea that people spend years looking for the lights!!!!
Not long ago somebody asked me what I would really like to do with my life (job or whatever) to make me really happy. I told them that I would be really happy if I could just think!
They seemed to find this quite hard to understand, but I never get tired of it and although I live a rather reclusive existance, that's how I'm at my happiest. My only problem is in stopping thinking sometimes!!! You can have too much of a good thing.
A few weeks ago we watched a Japanese video and I was gripped by the whole story (one of their folk tales in cartoon form). I was amazed when my husband and son said they didn't understand what it was all about. I could explain it easily. Yet again I don't know how!
Anyway, meanwhile back to the lights during meditation. You see once I get clear of them I enter into total darkness and then I start to see pictures which are as clear as those on a t.v. This is where I can see Egypt and other things.
Does that go any way to explaining? Sometimes I confuse myself - as well as those around me!!
But to sum up, if I'm doing anything 'clever' with meditation, I have no idea how I do it. I've just always been able to.
Now on to the next subject upon which I can show you immense ignorance!!! Back to Egypt.
Did you read my timeslip experience a short while ago? Having been through this, nothing about time would surprise me.
It's very obvious from reading your posts that you know an awful lot more about Egypt than I do. Although I've always been interested in it, it's not something I've studied at all. But over the last couple of years it's become clear that this isn't something I can ignore. The push (or pull?) is coming to me from...wherever it comes from and I have to follow this path. It reached a stage where I was getting signs on a daily basis. I think you ignore things like that at your peril.
So here I am. Ignorant yet willing to learn, putting together years of unexplained events and on a journey to..zep tepi maybe?
Since I began all this people have noticed a change in me. Even my husband wanted to know why I suddenly seemed to incredibly contented and happy. And why?
Because the more I let Egypt back into my life, the deeper warmth I feel in my soul. I've experiences of other places, but nothing makes me feel quite the same way.
I know that my soul/spirit were totally at peace in Egypt and that in all existances since then, the road has been much rockier. There has been pain, violence and a lot of sorrow. But I'm certain that it was of my own doing. I decided to 'go play' in the world and throw myself in to all the goodies on offer like a kid in a candy store.
I think now I've remembered what this is all meant to be about and I'm regaining what I lost a very very long time ago.
My word, haven't I gone on!! Are you still awake? Did any of this make sense to you? It was a true outburst of the soul.
I still have to tell you about the next vision of the procession, and I'm longing to hear about (1) your scarab memory (2) what you remember about the arrogance of the pharaoh.
And Kelly, if you're here. I'm so glad you found 'The Alchemist' and I hope you enjoy it. Let me know when you've read it.
Have a good weekend.
Lots of love Gemeni.

Very fascinating material here. I too, am a clairvoyant. Waking visions are in color if the lights are on. In the dark, they are black and white. Lucid drams are almost always in full color.

Gemini, predynastic Egypt was quite primitive. The Narmer Palette sure indicates this, as do the grave contents. Menes/ Scorpion king a unifier by right of conquest. The long term maintenance of two kingdoms indicates a situation not unlike Britain during the time of the Stuarts. James VI of Scotland and James I of England were the same man. The ACT of Union took a little over a century. Even then, the issue was not settled until Culloden. It is not settled today! The first two Dynasties of Egypt must have been in very similar circumstances. Since Egypt maintained the fiction of the two lands right up to Cleopatra VI, the scars of unification were very deep. Have you seen any of this in your own visions.

Another clue are the legends of Snefru, the betterer. Here is a Pharaoh out of character with his ancestors.

My own Egyptian memories are late Old Kingdom and very early New Kingdom and later.

The unification must have been very bloody to perpetuate such permanent ideas of collective existence.

As a child, I read a book on Egypt. It had a story about Tetisheri, Queen of Thebes. I daydreamed about her , her sons and grandsons. The daydreams became dreams. I dreamed she was my grandmother. I was perhaps ten.

I am the second and first grandson to graduate in America from university of my grandparents.I received no intellectual input on ideas such as reincarnation from my family. My father was a believer but held to the idea that " Those that sing the loudest on Sunday, XXXX their fellow humans the most on Monday". A view I still share with him. My Mom is was captured by what I call " Loyola's dictum ". " Give me the first seven years and we have them for life".

Many years later, I realized that my dream episodes were past life things. But, I had conflict with such ideas before I even discovered reincarnation. Really, before reincarnation discovered me!!

I was a vehement, nasty, mean rebel against the teachings of Lutheranism as a teenager. I was forced to go to catechism and quoted Marx as answers to the idiot preacher in catechism. Got thumped regularly. The catechism students were my five best friends. I organized them against the bunk too! I succeeded in geeting the old fraud to tell us we would be in agony on examination day. At the examination I said "Bunk" several times. That ended the matter. A half century later, I can still bring down Christianity in a debate like Sam Adams could turn the Boston Mob.

My point is, there was no way I was contaminated by education on the subject.

When I was 17, I nearly died of septicemia. In fact, I had two NDE's. Even then, it took 20 years for me to fully confront the fact that materialism is false. My colleague walked into my office and told me he saw me in a sitting at my desk in a blue Union uniform with three stars on the straps!

Until that day, I kept all my clairvoyant stuff to myself. So, under the circumstances of a lifetime, I must conclude that there is much veracity to my experiences.

I see you ladies have a much easier time of it all dealing with non material things. It has been several centuries since I had the same pleasure!

Hi Jerry, Hi Gemeni,

Well, the day got away from me, and it's late. I teach tomorrow -- but am determined to post at least a few things here. An excerpt follows from my journal about a Pharaoh Gemeni -- for a good giggle. I'll get back to you tomorrow with thoughts about your post. Sorry - just too tired tonight.

In July - 1994 I did a meditation and an interesting situation with a Pharaoh surfaced. I was a priestess in the temples at Gizeh, I was still in training, although I was about 18 years old, full initiation didn't take place until an initiate was 33 years old. I was standing in the light watching a ceremonial rite take place.

I found myself quite aware of energy, light and other's thoughts. I was being trained to use telepathy as a means of communication. Before me, I could see the Pharaoh -- adorned in his majestic golden crown enlaid with precious jewels. It curled at the end on top and he sat in a beautiful throne up on a platform.

WHat was funny, was that as I was looking at him, I became very aware of his immaturity, yet he was about 32 years old. He pretended to be "enlightened" but he wasn't. I could read his thoughts and the initiates from the temple bothered him. He was intimidated that I could "see" his true being. He was not very wise either. I tried very hard not to giggle in his presence. I found the whole thing rather amusing - here was the KING - all in his immature majesty.

Jerry - I wouldn't say that materialism is false. I would suggest instead, that it is an illusion-- one that we ourselves create. It is through our creation..our action...that we experience form, energy, and mass in ways that are uniquely our own. Yet -- feelings -- thoughts and emotions are just as real as any coffee table, mountain or ocean wave. Each of us living in a completely different paradigm. My first thought.

BTW - it has taken me over 15 years to put things together, and none of it has came easily. My goal is to stand in a place of balance, confidence and integrity with the issues we discuss here in this forum. It's in the struggle Jerry - that I have learned so much, especially about compassion, forgiveness and patience.

Welcome -- and in your new place of understanding and along your journey -- I hope you find your JOY.

If I could make a statement about what is real, the best I could do, is tell you how I feel.

Hello to you both and thanks so much for the input - very much appreciated I can tell you.
Firstly Jerry. I can feel a very distinct difference between my Egyptian memories. I know you've read about the hippo/croc recurring childhood dream that I had. The moment of judgement. That had all the hallmarks of being very primitive and gives me totally different feelings to the other memories. It eventually stopped when I persuaded my parents that I wanted my bedroom decorated with a royal blue ceiling covered with silver stars. At that time I had no idea that had anything to do with Egypt at all - but strangely as it is often seen in tombs of a much later period, it seems to be that I was trying to push my night thoughts to another era perhaps?

The feelings of contentment come from the later era - Rameses 2/Akhenaten/Tutankhamen all seem to hit the right spot. You mention Culloden too Jerry. This has always been a spot that I can hardly bare to think about. I saw a documentary about it years ago and felt really bad/disturbed. At a later date I'll have to give it some more thought in view of what I'm now learning about these sorts of feelings.
I read the other night that Carl Jung believed that the key to reincarnation was through dreams. He had a series of dreams which gave what he considered proof about a friend of his, but at the time he wrote the book was still seeking dreams about his own experiences. I had no idea how lucky I am in being given the 'gift' of my dreams.
And all the luckier because technology has given me the gift of being able to come here to share/learn. It really is a huge help since I have kept virtually all of this to myself until now.
Deborah, I loved reading about your memory. It sounds spot on to me! I can just imagine how you must have made him feel!!! LOLLOL!!
The presence I can feel is probably older than your pharaoh. I feel that he really is an immensely wise person and for the most part doesn't give his high intelligence second thought. However there are moments when he sees himself as being so superior (which he is in a sense) and that's when the arrogance creeps in (behaving as if he is a god - with a look which says it all). This works a treat on most people, but there were some that knew more about his mortal flaws!
Once again I can only hope this is making sense.
I hope your teaching went well - and left you with enough energy to continue our chat. And don't forget the scarab!
Love Gemeni.

Gemeni when I read about your pharaoh friend I thought he was was being arrogant on purpose to tease you and 'wind you up,' like you know each other so well that he knows how to push your button and have a giggle. Is that what he's up to?

Aww Deborah your memory made me feel sorry for the poor guy.

I feel a lot of attraction for egypt - the older the better. The biggest *zing* I ever got was a couple of years ago reading a short article about how, in a cave in upper egypt, they had found tombs which were lined with mica and had carvings or articles pertaining to Het-Hor. The article said they dated well into pre-dynastic times, maybe 6,000 or so years old. I saved the article because it gave me such a weird feeling. But I don't have any memories about it.

I did go to a regressionist once and my experience was of being a low-level temple functionary in late egypt. I don't know if it was before Alexander or during the Ptolemies, but it felt more 'recent.' Anyway, it was kind of a sad, misfit, embarrassing sort of experience to recall. And I guess if it was so, it explains my distaste for late egypt and how I always feel it was a degraded, sort of cheesy period. lol!

Thank you all! I was a most scientific boy! My living science heroes were Roy Chapman Andrews, Henry Fairfield Osborn and Carl Akely the sculptor and taxidermist. He mounted the Maneaters of Tsavo at the Field in Chicago. His bronzes of African Tribes are masterpieces.

All the while, I have clairvoyant visions that I hide. They are just pretend you know.
My NDE occured when I had a fever over 106. At the famed Mayo Clinic hospitals . This experience enhanced everything but was a severe conflict with my families view of God. Even worse , They interferred with my ideas about science. I used college texts in High School. My solution was to forget about both. I had always been interested in the seamier side of life. At the same time, i was very interested in social issues. Foremost among these issues was the utter destruction of the Christian Sex Ethic. I went to work for Playboy. I left 20 years later to open my own bookstore. My wife is still there, Production Manager. Well, we whipped the Christian sex ethic.

Deep down, the spiritual self perservered! Eventually , I had to confront everything and did so. I simply could no longer ignore the inner me!

So yes, I have several very high rank Egyptian lives. Eighteenth dynasty founder. Vizier several times. The remembrances of things past are palpable, to say the least. Yet, I am far more interested in the immediately preceeding lives and my lives in Britain over a full millenia.

Others have met me in regressions, including my friend who had me regressed by Greg Paxon in Chicago to prove it was baloney! She had a regression that converted her. In this case Greece. She was killed by a hoplite. I did not stop it, but was very clearly the ranking officer and was very displeased by her former husband in this life's conduct.

Years later, her current husband, a Rhodes Scholar, called me and asked if I knew a certain early Virgina remittance man and rake. I said yes. I told him he cuckholded my son in law in 169? Williamsburg. He had been regressed to this rake, a Daniel Parke. He had been regressed to this life. It astounded him that I answered almost casually.

This life in tidewater Virginia was from 1645-1712. I was a tobacco planter, smuggler and factor to small yeoman planters in Virginia. I had several ships that did a lot of Rum business in the French W. Indies.

I visited the site of operations in the seventies. Berkely Hundred, which I had had an interest since I was a preteen. I told the guide where everything was. She said " How do you know this? We have yet to release the summary of our archeological dig. She was very pale! The name then was Benjamin Harrison II. This is a pale description of the past life experiences about early Williamsburg.

I just thought I would fill in a little.

Hi,

I would like to reflect on one of Gemeni's statements --I know that my soul/spirit were totally at peace in Egypt and that in all existence's since then, the road has been much rockier. There has been pain, violence and a lot of sorrow. But I'm certain that it was of my own doing.

I have had the same realization; which came in a rather complex manner -- but showed me very clearly the illusion of TIME - how we create our reality and lives, and how it is all happening NOW.

In March of 1995 - I did a meditation and found myself in Egypt at maybe twenty-two or three years of age. I was with my teacher. I was being instructed to look inward -- at my soul. I was looking deeply into the spiral LIGHT energy in my heart - I was looking to the future and the lives that I would perceive to have.

I was aware of having a "troubled heart" in many of them. Fear, pain, sorrow dominated many of my life times. By my own doing.

Suddenly I could see all my lives..around me in holographic organic shapes -- like LIGHT fluid. Thanks for sharing Jerry. I see you are a good critical thinker and a rebel - all at once? *S*S*S*S

Yet again, hello Deborah, Jerry and Szofie and thanks for all the interesting info.
Szofie (or Hi fellow Egyptian!) yes, I think my pharaoh 'friend' knows exactly how to push the right buttons to get my attention! I feel that for him watching my bumbling progress here is better than any other form of entertainment (comedy!)on offer. I can only hope that one day I get the opportunity to get my own back!!!!
Jerry, as always your memories are fascinating. You've been able to get so much detail - I'm very envious. I share your background of being the born rebel. My mother so wanted a little 'doll' who would wear cute little pink dresses and be ..well a typical cute little girl. Instead she got a stubborn independant tomboy who at age four 'left home' because she tried to make me wear some shoes I hated!! (Mind you despite taking a case containing a dolls blanket, a teddy and some biscuits I still came home in time for tea!!!).
Unlike anybody else in my family I was just born to question everything and continue to do so to this day. I'm sure life is much easier for those that don't - but not nearly so interesting!
And Deborah. It made me so happy to hear that you share my feeling. Working all these things out on my own hasn't been easy, but to know that somebody with as much experience as you feels the same way means a great deal.
It doesn't seem to matter if I'm having a bad day health wise or because of whatever may have happened through outside influences, that 'warm' place in Egypt is always waiting to make me feel balanced.
And now I'll tell you about the further part of the procession.
All the people that I've seen (still viewed from above) are dressed in white. They're moving past a lot of pillars and steps, so it takes place outside a building - unless they're on the way in and I haven't got that far yet. A short way behind the pharaoh I then saw some of the people were carrying what I first thought looked like the ark - and I wondered if I was watching an Indiana Jones movie by mistake!! 'It' was being carried on poles on the shoulders of the bearers. I then got out some books and found various illustrations of the sealed shrine that was carried on a barque by shaven headed priests, on special feast days.
Whatever way I look at the memory, it seems that shaven headed priests are going to be there somewhere!
Yet again thanks so much for sharing - and don't forget that scarab memory when you have the time.
Love, light and all things nice. Gemeni.

P.S: Just found that some of my light experiences are on the 'Bolt of light' thread which has reappeared on todays topics (something we mentioned in this post yesterday).

Gemeni, you seem to be describing the Feast of Opet. The Shrine containing Amun is being taken from karnak to Luxor to visit his spouse. This was a very special time of year for all New Kingdom Egyptians. Amun was the local deity of the the Thebes Nomarch until the 18th Dynasty Kings made Amun the primary deity by merging Re and other local deities into Amun. This was the the religious consolidation of the petty Nomearch Gods that paralleled the reunification of Egypt following the expulsion of the Bedu ( Hyksos) .

I happen to think the work of David Rohls is very nearly correct. A man that will be more important than Champollion. If so, a 17th dynasty king was the Pharaoh of the opression and the brother of Moses.

This view would bar me from an advanced Degree in Egyptology.

So in summary, you are viewing a New Kingdom life. I summarized my own clairvoyant visions of a Vizier of a New Kingdom Pharaoh. Thutmose III, most likely in another thread.

Kemet, was a culture of unbelievable stability. The unification and ensuing half millenium represent the most rapid advancment humans can remember. Compare 1500-2000. Most of the most recent half millenium were spent in religious persecutions, oligarchic use of humans as fuel for production, related imperialist expansion after the Peace of Westphalia and outright wars of extermination in the West. Egypt is the progenitor civilization of the "west".

The Old Kingdom was relentless improvement in understandings, little war as far as we know and a mostly quiet enjoyment of civilization with few or no slaves

Jerry, yet again I must thank you for your help. You've been giving me so much help that I expect a large bill before long!!
As I've explained before, I am NO EXPERT in Egyptian matters (well not in this lifetime anyhow) and I'm trying not to read too much in advance of any of the things I'm experiencing, as I don't want to influence events. However I can now read up on what you've told me, in the hope that will trigger some more memories. My experience so far seems to be that I get stuck with one theme, then once I understand it fully I'm 'allowed' to move on to the next.
Has this been your experience of how things have unfolded?
I am now certain that my old kingdom memory is that of a male. This later one is female. I can only assume at this stage that the pharaoh was someone that I knew fairly well, but my relationship to him is still a mystery. Such is life! However I shall do my research now and perhaps more questions will be answered.
Perhaps I shall even discover that I knew the Vizier!!
By the way, am most intrigued to know what your role was at Playboy for 20 years?
Also - if you don't mind yet another question - would I be correct in thinking that my love of being neat and methodical, plus a 'gift' for accountancy, and having very neat rather unusual handwriting may well be connected to my Egyptian days? Both my father and my son share the same kind of handwriting and people always comment on it being (a) unusual (b) incredibly neat (c) rather beautiful.
Thanks yet again.
And Deborah............are you still with us?
I was looking at your artwork last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. I admire the work you've done with kids enormously. We've recently 'adopted' an eight year old African girl from a very remote region and have just started exchanging letters. I know they have an unbelievably tough life in some ways, and yet I already get the impression that they're so much happier than so many of the people around us! Working with them must have been an incredible experience.
Love and all things nice. Gemeni.

I was officially Director of Tax Matters. I went to Playboy to get into newsstand circulation distribution. My real job was problem solver. The Nesstand Circulation Manager and I became best friends. He died of Cancer at age 41.

He was a "counterpart" of me and vice versa in the Jane Robert's sense. Souls , of a certain type, incarnate in more than one body simaltaneously. The other counterpart was there too.

He was my political nemesis in my Civil War life.On very rare occasions, I am clairaudient. In this instance, I was sorting books in my beastly large library and dropped a book. Suddenly, I heard "You just dropped me". I recognized his voice immediately. The book was a biography of Sen. Charles Sumner of Massachusetts.

My lives have been of the leadership type. All 25 before this one.

There are some keys to recognize the Old Kingdom. Everything is Re, Osirus, Isis and Horus. No Amun. Organized things are direct and simple. Dress was very simple. The fella's or peasants went largely naked.

The nobles wore a simple linen Kilt, not a fancy pleated and starched thing. They were not fops like New Kingdom aristocrats. Female dress was also very much simpler. Most of the time females also wore only a simple kilt.

Egypt was a matriarchy. In the Old kingdom, matriarchy was present everywhere, not just in line of descent of the Royal Family. The oldest son and daughter married to keep the line pure. The dynasties fell after five or six generations due to reinforced recessive traits.

You wouldn't believe the number of coincidences coming into to play here!
Without reading anything about processions I'd skimmed through one of my (many) books on Egypt to find a picture that seemed to be the closest to my vision. The books I have are full of things I might have chosen. As I told you I didn't read anything as I didn't want to influence what I was seeing. After seeing the procession I just checked the pictures. I marked one. Later in the day I read your post that said I was describing the Feast of Opet. In the morning I checked the page I'd marked in the book. The text around it is all about the Opet Festival!!
And Horus (which you now mention) was part of the string of events that led me here in the first place. I was stuck with a thought train after hearing his name mentioned in a film. I just couldn't stop running the name through my mind, over and over again. It seemed to be something like a mantra I suppose. You've also mentioned the Scorpion King in this thread and after hearing him mentioned (when 'The Mummy Returns' was released) it seemed to have a similar effect on my mind. (Please believe me I do NOT for one moment think the film was based on reality in any way!!!).
The keys to unlocking deep secrets seem to be hidden in the most unusual hiding places don't they?
I also have some dealings with taxation - but do my best to avoid it. The problem is that I'm so good at it people keep coming back for more!
What about the handwriting thing - do you think it may be relevant?
Oh yes, and thanks yet again.

Handwriting is usually very close. The instruments were different. Steel pen vs. ball point. The decline in penmanship is not a great consequence here. it is the general style.

My civil War thing has unearthed quite a few handwriting matches. In another thread, I mentioned that my thing centers on the U.S. Military Academy clases of 1840-60. My most significant is 1843. We were able to get quite far because the CW Fed archives are bulging with order book copies in pencil.

The CW life was the platform from which the others came into focus. The same subject- evolutionary governance of a free society. From the oldest to the penultimate life, a continuous thread.

My favorite is a life as an Athenian Citizen Warrior in the days of the 500 tyrants.

On to Egypt. The mystery/ saviour religions originated with Osirus-Isis-Set- Horus. Pharaoh was the living incarnation of Horus.

Isis was the most popular personal religion in the Early Roman Empire. FEW really believed in those Greek clone silly state gods of Rome. Christianity created the whole Marianism thing to compete and replace Isis.

I think reincarnation became anathema to bring down Isis and Mithraism. The mystery religions were blamed for the decline of the Roman Empire. Echos exist of this in the Christian persecutions. The Christians in the first and second centuries were puny in comparison to the other mystery religions. If there was a persecution it is buried in the silence of the period from Constantine through JUstinian. The Orthodox murdered their dualist opposition like the Gnostics. Hence the buried Hag Hammadi Codices.

So in a way Osirus, the Christian Jehovah, Isis, the BVM and Horus the Messiah of Rome.

A really good, but very subversive, case be made that the State Christian Religion adopted every pagan aspect that was popular with the masses.

Shades of Tom Paine, what what!

Hi Gemini,

I am still here..just very busy lately. I am gone all day tomorrow -- but in the evening - I'll post a few more things you might be interested in. What are you interested in... exactly?

Horus....holds very deep spiritual meaning for me. Not as an entity - but as ESSENSE and a state of Being. I know I know..scarab first. LOLOLOL Tomorrow.

Deborah

If I could make a statement about what is real, the best I could do, is tell you how I feel.

Ah Jerry, could this explain my hatred of the vile biro? Stupid blotty things that never write like I want them too. I use them when I have to, but I'm one of the last people on the planet to prefer the good old fashioned nib and ink. So did my father, who would only use a special Rotring drawing pen for anything he wrote. I don't think I ever saw a word he wrote in biro. I even prefer pencil to the dreaded biro. You can see a fine collection of ink blots around the house here and a large collection of steel nibs. One worn to such an acute angle that nobody else can write with it! Every single letter is written with precision - or typed on this keyboard so fast it makes heads spin!
Last night I was listening to the news on the radio. They were talking about the India/Pakistan situation. I don't know where it came from but I sighed and said outloud 'Akhenaten please help us'. (Not that I think for a moment he intends too!!). Then a very strange thing happened. Tingles ran up and down my spine and I broke out in goosebumps all over and started to shiver.
Now where did that come from?
Some previous memory of a looming disaster maybe?
Hi Deborah, nice to 'see' you again.
You asked what I'm interested in. Well everything actually!! But if that's too much of a tall order, I'll settle for the scarab to begin with. Also, do you think being in the temple was your main thing? I think I did several things. I'm pretty sure I danced, had something to do with medicine, and did my bit at the temple as well.
Looking foward to your next input. Don't work too hard.
Love Gemeni.
Oh yes, nearly forgot (am being rushed as a queue for the internet is growing behind me). Last night I managed to tiny bit more of the procession.
Behind the 'ark'-like creation there was a group of women. Unlike the pharaoh and priests, they were dressed in very rich colours.

I realize this thread is a bit old but I just found this site recently so am posting in response to your asking for anyone who has had an ancient Egyptian memory that has had any historical facts verified. When I was 7 years old (1959)I was watching our
old black & white TV when a Popeye the Sailor cartoon came on. He was at the pyramids/Sphinx. All of a sudden the screen opened up into a vast technicolor panorama. Suddenly I seemed to be IN the picture. I looked down at my feet & can remember to this day the elaborate jewel encrusted
gold thong type sandals on my feet. Around my neck was a heavy gold collar, also richly jeweled. The body I was in seemed to be a slender young man wearing a white kilt-type garmet. I was standing between the feet of the Sphinx talking to a middle aged bald man in a black robe, fastened at one shoulder, and giving him instructions on what should be inscribed on a large black stone resting between the Sphinx's feet. Then, just as suddenly as it had come, it was gone. Bewildered, I asked my mother "What was THAT?" Not imagining what I had just experienced, she replied with some motherly platitude. After that I made it my business to find out all I could about that strangely familiar place where the Pyramids were. I had several of those experience as a child whatching that old TV when something about Egypt was on. Always I would find myself INSIDE a technicolor panorama.
As I got older & could read, I devoured James Henry Breasted's book A History of Egypt. In it I discovered that there was an 18th Dynasty Pharoah named Thusmose IV who had done exactly what I had experienced at 7 yrs. old. The story is that he was out in the desert hunting one day & fell asleep in the shade of the Sphinx which was at that time nearly covered over with sand. While sleeping there he dreamed that the sun god Ra came to him (the Sphinx was believed to be sacred to this god) & promised Thutmose
that should he have the sand cleared from off his body & restore his worship there that
he would make him Pharoah. Awakening from his dream, he at once ordered the sand to be cleared away. In due course he became Pharoah, though he had several older brothers. When he became Pharoah he ordered a huge black granite steale to be placed be-
tween the Sphinx's feet recording his remarkable vision. The priests of Ra wore black robes. Also I have had many dreams about his lifetime, and my journey through the Egyptian afterlife. In one particularly vivid dream I am a young man walking through a palace garden. I approach a fat high
priest in a leopard robe & know he is an enemy. (The priests of Amun wore leopard skin robes.) I tell him I have come to see my father. Our exchange is not cordial. I pass him & continue down a large hallway. I come to two huge doors of solid gold carved with pictures of my father in battle smiting Egypt's enemies. I enter the chamber & greet my father. He is a large man, with a thick muscular body sitting in a chair with golden lion heads carved on the arms. He complains about his teeth, saying that he has been a warrior all his life, eating a simple soldiers fare & cannot understand the rot in his mouth. He is glad to see me, we seem to be quite close. The father of Thutmose IV was Amenhotep II, one of Egypt's great warrior kings. According to the book
X-Raying the Pharoahs he was very tall for an Egyptian, nearly 6'1" & muscular but with rotten teeth.
My birthday is Feb. 28, 1952, the independence day of the modern state of Egypt. My parents named me Deborah but I have always hated it. A few days before my 50th birthday this year I was cleaning house one day when all of a sudden it was as if fireworks were exploding in my head. A voice told me, "Your name is Isis, and you are a Daughter of Isis." I have since started using that name & it feels very comfortable & right. I never knew exactly who Debbie was but I know VERY WELL who Isis is.
If anyone has had similar memories of this period of Egyptian history I'd love to hear them.
