Meditating with our children can bring unseen gifts, for both the parent and the child.
Just thought I would share.

Lifes experiences weave a tapestry of knowledge
Hi Deborah, it's funny you say this. I want to share a story with you and others in this group that has to do with that.
About a week ago, I decided to bring my CD into the kids room while they were quietting themselves for bed. I explained to my oldest, "Anthony" that it was for meditation and to relax his body and listen to the cd. Honestly, I didn't really do it for the intention of him meditating with me at all, I just thought that maybe it would bring them a peaceful night and I could meditate while sitting with my youngest while he dozed.
Anyway, that night I had a pretty interesting experience, I seemed to go further into meditation than I'm usually able to get but the next morning, Anthony said, "Mom, I want to use that CD every night. There was so much light and I was walking through a beatiful garden, the colors were so bright and there was little pieces of color everywhere."
Ok..First off this meant a lot to me and I'll tell you why and I haven't mentioned this to a soal yet but once again, I trust honest answers from you Deborah and the rest of this forum so this feels like the perfect place to share it.
Before this evening with the meditation tape in the kids room, I had been waking up almost every night immediately (I'd have a hard time coming to though, tossing and turning, trying to wake myself up) this was at around 4-4:30 each morning. I get this e-mail from my friend who tells me that I have been coming to her room in a dream she keeps having. She explains that I come and sit next to her bed, I have wings and I say nothing. She says nothing and then it is the same tale, She has a hard time waking herself up and when she does, it was between 4-40:30am. She then e-mails me and says, "Crissy, you came to me again and this time you came and got me out of bed, we walked to a beautiful garden (now implant the same words anthony used to describe his garden here.. exactly).. : angel Of course at this time, I hadn't meditated with Anthony yet. Oh, my friend also said that I actually talked this time but all I said was, "Pay attention."
So anyway, to hear him describe the same garden was amazing to me. I didn't visit a garden the night I meditated, in fact something or someone tried to get my attention but that was all.
Now that you say meditating with your child is actually a great thing to do, I'm looking forward to this. I wonder if him viewing the same place my friend did was a sign that we could all connect??
What do you think about these odd chain of events, Deborah or anyone else?
