Astral projection maybe?

Not sure if this is the place for this I just think it was a spiritual expierience I'm not sure someon please tell me I would love to know.

Ok I think I was astral projecting but I'm not sure it was pretty intense though. It started with my alarm going off and me bursting into awakeness, I was moveing fast to shut the alarm off but everything else was moveing in slow motion it seemed. I looked outside and it looked like it was sunny out and that stopped me dead in my tracks cause I'm suppose to be at work at 4 in the morning. And that's when I got the crash caurse in re entering the body I think cause that's when it felt like everything just hit me and sped back up to the time that I've always recognized.

Can anyone tell me what happened to me. It was a pretty wild ride for all of like 30 seconds.

Yes, it sounds like OBE (or astral projection). Did you touch the alarm clock? Some people report that they got up from bed and only realized they were astral projecting when they wanted to turn on the lights and couldn't touch the switch.

It's also typical to see it all with a different light, as you describe. And as soon as you realize what's happening, the shock makes you return to the body immediately.

Next time try not to be shocked and maybe you'll be able to stay a bit longer in the astral!

Actually I know I touched the clock my phone and I know that I walked to the patio door where I saw the light but I have no recollection of feeling anything until I snapped out of it. Although I'm sure I would have loved staying in astral projection I still am glad I didn't. Being late for work would not be very good for me right now.

I will tell you I think I may be able to do it on my own time later since I now know what if feels like. Now that I think about the expierience, I didn't feel my body at all but I could still sense a connection with my third eye. I'm not use to waking up with that being active. To me that is very interesting.

That's an interesting experience, Pyrosfuel. When you returned to your body, was it still daylight, or was the world still enveloped in pre-dawn darkness?

That's the thing I have no idea how far out there I actually was! I snapped back into it pretty fast so I'm sure I wasn't that far from the body.

I think I'm going to have to do some research on this one.

Actually I've heard astral travellers say they can touch things (I even tried once and I "felt" something), only it's slightly different to do it with your physical hands. It's hard to explain.

I have no doubt you'll do it again!

In sure it'll happen again too. hopefully with some awareness behind it, not knowing that I'm doing this while being asleep is a pretty strange concept to me.

Why would my mind even want to do this without me actually being aware of it? I didn't seem to gain any knowledge behind it except I kinda know what it feels like. Preparing me for attempting it awake perhaps. Not entirely sure on this one.

I'm not sure there is a purpose to OBEs. It just seems to be something the soul is capable of doing, so it happens. It's like the people who say "I climbed that mountain, because it was there." I have read accounts of people who's soul traveled to other countries to visit the bedside of a sick loved one. If there is a reason, it might be to illustrate that we are souls with bodies, not bodies with souls. In the few that I have experienced, I was asleep, and only went as far as my own living room. I find the phenomenon somewhat frightening, but I'm sure that my fear comes from incomplete understanding of the process.

A large number of people undergoing an AP or OOBE, if dreaming at the same time, report dreaming of a sensation of flying, also they (and others) report a "jolt" of their astral, and sometimes their physical body as they re-enter their physical body.

Did you recall either sensation while undergoing this?

We all do astral projection while we're sleeping, only we're not aware of it. I think that as we become more aware spiritually, we also become more aware of this phenomenon. I only started to have more lucid dreams after a year or so meditating frequently. Some of those "dreams" were incredibly real and I found myself out of my body, standing in the middle of my bedroom. When I asked a woman who knew a lot about this, she told me those were not dreams, but OBE's. Through her I contacted with astral travellers who told me about the close relation between astral projection and lucid dreams. And then I started to have more experiences. I guess it's also a matter of "concept", once you get convinced that what you are experiencing is much more than a dream, you can start using that "power" more efficiently. And fear is the strongest barrier for our minds.

Hmm mabey that's why I'm progressing so fast I fear none of the things I'm expieriencing. It all feels familiar and natural to me. I'm more excited that I know much more is on the way.
