Bing Background Triggers Feeling

Today, September 21, 2012, Bing's background was a shot of the Cathedral of Pisa and its bell tower (better known to many as the "Leaning Tower of Pisa"). I have never felt particularly attracted to that location, but when I saw the image it looked both eerily familiar and sadly cold and dead. The Tower looked like a corpse of a building and I wondered immediately "Where is the life? Where is everyone?" It was a strange thought to pop into my head. I think I need to meditate on this a bit more, but I thought I'd share in the meantime.

Everytime I look at a Vincent Van Gogh painting - not sure what its called but its of a cafe. I cant help staring at that picture for hours. People think I'm on something b/c I stare at it for hours. It triggers a good yet sad feeling in me. Like I want to be back there but that life wasnt as good as I'm making it out to be and had its own set of problems. When I went to Puerto Rico in this life and I went to Old San Juan, for some reason the French inspired architecture felt very real to me. Like I had a deep connection to it. That was my favorite place in Puerto Rico.

I love his night paintings. The article itself is pretty good. Did you see the photos of the cafe on the page?
