bridges and cars and stuff

I can remember having this dream when I was a baby about being in a car wreck. The dream went (briefly put) like this: My mother runs into a store (or building, something), but she leaves the car running because she'll only be a minute. I drop my toy or something and dislodge the brakes of the car. The car rolls off a bridge into the water, and I'm strapped in my car-seat, so of course, I meet my end. I haven't had the dream in a few years. My mother has told me that when I first started talking (which I didn't do until I was 3), I would say that I wanted to go home, even though I was in the only house I'd ever lived in. I have an obsession with struggles in and underwater and an intense fear of bridges. Was this my latest past life? I can't imagine that I would've seen something at such a young age that would've enabled me to contrive such a vivid dream, but I'm not sure. I've also always been very interested and drawn to the Medieval ages, burning at the stake, and have had an aversion to Christianity. (I know that's completely unrelated to the first part of this post). Could someone please help me try to sort out whatever bizarre stuff I have trailing behind me?

I'm actually not sure what I think. I'm almost positive the car thing was my most recent life. One of my mother's friends said that I am an old soul when he saw me. I once went into an old house and felt like I'd just walked into my home, even though I'd never been there before. I love swords and battles. I have a twisted affinity for a few other things I'm not going to let out into the world. I also have the strong desire to travel, to NOT marry, and not have kids... basically, to go against the norm. I don't know whether some or all of this comes from past lives or this life. I have a short temper, but I tend to either keep it in or let it out by somehow inflicting not-too-serious pain on myself. I *think* I need help, but I'm not willing to go to a psychiatrist. Right now I'm just wandering around, looking for others' opinions.
