Hi all,
I think it was Ailish (forgive me if I'm wrong) that said in a posting that she felt she could pick up a paintbrush and just paint, but what came out was not what she saw in her head. I've had the same experience. All my life I've never had a "calling" into any one career field. I'm artistic, but not called to it as a career. I love to write and thought I'd be a writer - not certain if I'm too scared, or what (I have 6 unfinished novels in the works).
I just finished my Bachelor's degree in Human Services and thought about going on to be a counselor, but again wasn't really drawn to it. I do enjoy being a social worker. So now I start my Master's in Education in December. I am good at teaching and greatly enjoy it and it's as close to a "calling" as I've had. I feel like in my past lives I've lived very easy lives with no real challenges or hard choices to make. Have any of you gone through anything similar? Do you also doubt that you're making the right career choices in this life?
