Carol on TV: the "Katie" show on ABC on 9-24

Carol notified us that she will be on the Katie Couric show on ABC, which airs on Tuesday, September 24th, at 2:00 EST. (Check your local listings for the time.)

She will be talking about a child's case of same-family reincarnation, that will probably be new to members, but she has been following since 2001. It's the case of Trenny Simmons whose 24-year-old brother died in a car accident, and came back 5 years later as her son. She and her mother and son will appear in the segment.

Robert Snow, who wrote Looking for Carroll Beckwith, will be talking about his experience doing a past life regression and finding confirmation of his experience. He recalled being a relatively unknown 19th century American portrait artist. It's a great book, if you haven't already read it.

Brian Weiss will be on too. He will be regressing Katie in front of cameras a couple of days before, and will be commenting on the session. We hope it works!!

Carol hopes she can make some succinct points and people will find the Forum and the books.
 
This sounds like an exceptional program, Tinkerman. I am a big fan of all those involved, and will look for Robert Snow's book. Thank you for posting this.
 
I am excited to see this and I will be recording as well. Sounds like they are covering different aspects of reincarnation and from different angles. AWESOME!
 
Oprah had Brian Weiss on her show a few months back. Katie is probably trying to keep up with Oprah. Which is fine as long as it helps our cause.
 
I think this presentation is going t be different than Oprah's. Carol was already on Oprah after her first book came out. With the cases mentioned and a same family case- I do believe this will be better! :)
 
The Katie Couric show which airs on Tuesday 24th September on ABC, will be on at 3:00 EST, not 2:00 as stated in the original post.

Hi,


Although I didn't get much air time, the show went fairly well. Bob Snow's case is amazing, as is Trenny Simmons's case of her son who is her brother reborn. I've been in touch with Trenny since her son was little, and there was much more to the story than was presented on the show.


Brian did a great job of countering Katie's skepticism. The other woman Brian regressed had a great experience. I got to talk to her after the show and she said her regression changed her perceptions of her relationship with her parents.


I was supposed to get a chance to talk about children's memories, but Katie ended up going off-topic talking about her children seeing their father in spirit after he died. So my response was to her question, which was cut in the final edit. I didn't really get a chance to make any points about children's memories.


There is a hot discussion going on about reincarnation, and some people have posted children's memories.


Members of this Forum might want to join the discussion and link to this Forum, especially in the children's cases. That would be great if these people knew there was this great resource available.

I posted in the thread just now on Katie's page. You did GREAT Carol...I thought the show went well and the child's case and mother were very well presented. Kudos to her and her son. :)
 
Thanks, Deborah. I just saw your post. I posted a reply to a woman who has a same-family case telling her about my second book and about the Forum.
 
I was very excited to see you on there but scolded Katie for not mentioning your work or publications or Mr. Snow's book when she hocked Dr. Weiss' book. I am very happy to see her cover the topic so I suppose I can forgive her. I'm just not a big fan of Dr. Weiss but was very proud of the way he countered Katie's concerns about her own memories.

Carol, you were great in getting the word out about Past Lives and Reincarnation, we are lucky to have such a talented and knowledgeable spokesperson as you, great interview. :)

It's always difficult to do "live" TV, because you never know what is going to happen (as when they go off-script) and you never know how it's going to be edited. I do regret not getting much time at all to say anything. BUT...Trenny's story said a lot, as did Bob Snow's. Brian walked into a difficult situation with Katie, but it did it knowingly. The other lady had a great experience, although she hated the camera angle which showed her tummy. Can't blame her!


At least with documentaries, you get a chance to re-state your answers and actually say something.
 
Just finished watching recording on my TV - fascinating show! Well done too. I really liked to see everyone on there, and some stories I wasn't familiar with as well. Also have ordered Brian Weiss's new book.
