Castle dream

My son (age 9 at the time of the dream)had a dream and I was thought it could be a memory. He dreamt that he was cleaning a castle after a battle. He was wiping up blood and disposing of bodies. He touched someone to move them and realized that the person was injured, but not dead. He was pretending to be dead. My kid dreamt that he panicked and stabbed the other guy in the heart and killed him. That is when he woke up. It could be too many movies, but I just felt past life.

Wow, Sannie, that is a highly realistic dream. I can hardly imagine that a 9-year-old 'imagines' those details in a random dream.
According to his age, I would imagine himself to be a glory full knight on a horse. Kids want to be superheroes, and that is ok.

Cleaning up the mess after a battle is highly specific and not mainstream. And killing a survivor of the raid on the castle is also an unexpected plot twist.

Did he by any chance see movies and shows on television that could have triggered his imagination?

Possibly, we try and monitor what he views. I'm not dismissing media as an influence for this dream, but my feelings said it wasn't.
