childs past life memories

When my son was three years old he would occasionally talk about a past life. He would ask me if I remembered when he was the dad and I was the kid. I never really questioned him about it, I just said yes to see what else he would say. He didn't give a lot of details mainly just said he loves me as much now as he did then. My husband thinks I'm nuts for believing it. He says how could he be your dad when you have a dad? Any way he is now ten years old and hasn't brought it up in a long time. Do you think he could still remember anything? From the moment he was born it was like I knew him from before.

If he hasn't brought it up in a long time, it very well could be that he doesn't remember things of that nature anymore.

I have no proof, but for myself, I always figured that if it seemed like I've already known someone new to me for a long time, then I did (reincarnation, I mean). It's just always the way I looked at things.

My 3 year olds experience.

Hello Every One,

I have decided to come here and tell others of the experience that I had with my 3 year old son. I would normally never have given any thoughts about past life experiences and I am not a very religious man. But after what had happened it is forcing me to re-examine my outlook on life.

My son and I were ending the evening one night before bed time just fliping threw the channels on T.V. and we came across a cooking program, as I began to watch it he turned to me and said that was how he died. I was taken aback by it and I said excuse me what did you say. He goes " thats how I died daddy, I was big like you and I was cooking dinner and these guys broke in my house and they killed me. " Well I was very shocked by that statement out of the blue. He was serious but he wasn't scared or anything like that. His attitude was just like it was no big deal and that was just how it happened.

Now I wasnt sure how to respond because I was kind of freeked out by it. We dont let him watch any of the gory things on T.V. and anything like that. It was just the way he told me with that serious look and how calm he was about it, Almost like it just poped in his head while we watched that cooking show.

So I asked him if he had a dream about that or saw it on T.V.. He shook his head no. So to be sure I asked him to tell me again what happened. But this time he started a little different he goes " When I was big like you I used to say bad words and I was cooking dinner and these guys broke into my house and killed me". Ok so this time he added that he used to say bad words.

Ok well I stopped questioning him after that and we continued to watch the cooking show. I didnt ask anymore questions because I was afraid to find out more. I was getting a feeling that maybe it wasn't the best life he was leading before and I didnt want to bring it up. After that we continued to watch the show like nothing ever happend and it was a normal conversation. There wasnt really any emotion, It was just like he was letting me know what happened.

This event happened about 2 weeks ago and I haven't brought it up much, but as I thought about it I figured maybe I should look for a site to bring it up. Im not looking for answers I just thought people who research stuff like this might like to hear about it. And like I said I would never have given any thoughts to this before this happened to me, but now, what can I say, how does this not change your outlook. This wasn't a very detailed event and now maybe I should have asked more questions while he was remembering it but at that time I wasn't getting a good feeling about it.

Thanks for reading it and sorry it was a bit long, I just wanted to make sure I wrote it the way it happened.

Thank You for sharing this experience. I always find it helpful and validating evidence of reincarnation when I read memories that have come from a young child out of the blue like that. It is good to hear this was not a traumatic recall like alot of the cases I have read are.

It can be helpful to keep a journal and to write down any past life memory your child has while they are fresh in your mind as the memories can fade as the child gets older.

Wanted to share my son's recollections

Hi, I'm new here! I found these boards while searching for info on recalling ones past life(s) and thought I would share what my oldest son told me when he was 2-3 years old. (He is now almost 10)

It started when he had really just learned to speak in sentences. He would tell me very non-chalantly about the mean man who choked his mouth by the fire (he never went into more detail, but I assume he meant strangled?). I'd asked him about this mean man, and he would just say he had on a necklace. He didn't seem scared or upset, just the same tone as if he was telling me what he had for breakfast.
One day we got him some army men action figures, not the old plain green little ones but more like GI Joe guys. He was very excited and immediately picked up two of them and said this is me, and MOMMY THIS ONE IS THE MEAN MAN!!! He showed me the dog tags on the figure and said look, this is the necklace! He was the total opposite of phobic or fearful, he was positively elated that he could show me what he'd been talking about.
There is no way he knew what dog tags were, I didn't go around letting him watch war movies at that age either.

Before that happened I was interested in past life studies and thought it was possible it could be true but now I'm a firm believer.

hi gemyni!

welcome, and thanks for sharing this story. i especially got a kick out of the part where he was "positively elated" at being able to share with you. you are blessed to be part of each other's lives. study on!

GI Joe

It is good that you are letting the G.I. Joe figures into the boy's life.

Many well-meaning parents prohibit all army toys, and try to restrict their sons from all war-related play, but the simple fact of the matter is that the male mind is going to go where it needs to go on this subject. If your boy is carrying so much emotion and imagination related to the endeavour of soldiering and the male imperative, it is best that you allow him to feel through it.

It looks like you all have already enjoyed some catharsis about this.

Yeah when he was a baby I swore I'd never let him play with guns or war toys. When he was about 8 months old he picked up a banana, pointed it at me and went "pow!" so I figured it was pretty useless hehe.
