Daughter remembering our past life connection

My 15-year-old daughter is on my mind because her bipolar disorder has caused her to require hospitalization again. Sometimes she seems to recall a past life after coming out of one of her episodes, just as she's calming down.

She doesn't have much detail, and she says things in a way that make little sense. Here's the gist: she says she had a trauma and lost it. She sent her little girl to live with her parents. Her daughter was ... Me. One time she said to me, "sorry I couldn't take care of you." I said, "what do you mean?" She didn't know.

Now I actually once had a silly dream in which I was telling my daughter what to do or giving her some kind of advice, but she didn't have to listen because she was my mom.

I also remember a happy past life childhood in which I was being raised by loving grandparents, because my mom had left me.

Anyway, it's interesting. I don't pry, I let her come out with it when she feels like it. Maybe we'll learn more in time.
 
Actually, she has already told you a lot. I think you were her daughter and she couldn't or wouldn't take care of you.


I wonder if any research has been done to see if bi-polar people have more past life memories compared to the general population.
 
Families do tend to reincarnate together from what I've read. It sounds like you have the opportunity to learn and grow together again.


I hope you can share more about this with us as you learn more.
 
It's funny to think of her as my mom, but not too surprising. After all, in another life I'm pretty sure my son was my little brother. Reincarnation is funny like that, isn't it.


Sadly, it seems that my daughter was unstable in her past life and perhaps brought some of her issues along with her into this life, if that's really how things work. At least I can give her a stable home and get her the best treatment available.


It really would be interesting to know if bipolar (or other mental illnesses) people tend to remember past lives better than the rest of us. I have ideas just based on what I've seen with my daughter, but it's only just wild speculation. Maybe somebody will study this; that would be cool.

This might be a good question to ask Carol Bowman. She monitors the forum and checks in once in awhile.
 
The two girls in my family with the strongest connections to the other side of the veil and the strongest past life memories started to remember the most after head trauma.
 
My daughter says that sometimes (during/shortly after an episode) nothing seems real, and that's when her "dreams" get jumbled with everything. I hope I'm explaining it well.


She generally remembers what seems to be past lives anyway, but she tends to start mentioning things when she's in a bit of a state, and maybe more memories surface under those circumstances.


As for her being my past life mom -- One time I was telling her a story about when I was a little kid, and she rolled her eyes and said, "oh I know exactly what you were like as a kid. Bossy and hard-headed!" My mom, who was sitting right there, agreed with her, and for the next minute they sat there discussing what a handful I used to be. I wonder if she was imagining that's how I must have been or actually remembering. (Btw, I was an angel as a kid, if memory serves. LOL)
