Do You Believe In "Karma Marks"?

"Karma Marks" are the name I give to birthmarks that you share with either a parent or sibling.

I understand that birthmarks are clues to tragic PL deaths, but what about those marks that you share with others in your family? So, for example, your brother has a big red pimple on his forehead that he's had since birth, and you have the same mark in the same place on your forehead.

What I believe is: in you and your brother's former life, you harmed the person your brother once was in that spot on his "old" forehead. After you died in that life, you were born with the same mark you gave the person who is now your brother, in order to learn a lesson about "sharing the pain" (sorry if that was too confusing, I hope you all get it coffee)

I'd like to hear your thoughts on this. wine**

I don't think I believe that. Sometimes marks on close relatives can be inherited.

I have one myself, ie exactly the same birthmark as my father in exactly the same spot as him.


I have read one theory that maybe these (particularly in view of location of them) could have come from something like jousting in a previous life.


On the other hand, my father has always been rather concerned that my mother is as faithful to him as he is to her (and I'm quite sure they both have been faithful to each other throughout) but apparently one of the first comments made when I got born was to the effect that having exactly the same birthmark in exactly the same spot meant it was 101% certain that I was HIS child and no-one else's. I'm guessing he needed absolute reassurance right from the outset that I definitely WAS/AM "his" without a shadow of a doubt about it and I presume I volunteered to have that identical birthmark prior to birth, because its not that "big a deal" in terms of noticeability.


Wouldn't have gone for it if it had been a noticeable type cosmetic defect, but its so unnoticeable that I doubt very many people have noticed it at all.

I believe you are right, those birthmarks are a sort of genetic "ID Stamp". Although, if you found you had the same birthmark as someone completely outside your family (ie no genetic relation whatsoever), do you suppose that could be taken as a "karma mark"? Personally, I don't know if that's possible. If it were, that would be fantastic as it would be definite proof that reincarnation exists. (Not that I don't believe in itwine**)

Hmmmm, interesting topic. My husband and I share a little bump above our left eyebrow, but I'd never thought about it that way.
