Do you have dreams of your past lives?

Hi! This is my first post. I was curious about past lives in dreams. First, allow me to provide some context:

I had a past life regression done a few month ago over some memories that were bothering me. I have always felt very strongly that I was a part of the baby boomer generation in the 60's and I wanted to explore this life. I wanted to reach some kind of closure but I was only left with more questions because this particular life was fraught with complications, addiction, mental illness and isolation. I believe that I lived in London and was a young man. Unfortunately, the PLR therapist I had wasn't very professional or skilled and I didn't feel comfortable enough to go too deep into it during the regression. She didn't make me feel comfortable although she definitely had some psychic gifts which helped me identify how I was possibly killed and why I currently am having some issues with my throat.

Roughly 4 months after this regression I had a dream that I was a little girl during WW2. I lived in Poland with my family which was comprised almost entirely of women because I presume the men were away at war. We were Catholic. I remember we lived in a very remote village on a hill that overlooked a very beautiful valley. I lived with cousins, aunts, sisters, my grandmother as well as my mother who was always preoccupied with my younger siblings. I remember sometimes men would come to our village/camp but they were never there for long. Everyone was very stressed out and serious all of the time. I was too young to fully understand that there was a war going on and no one explained anything to me.

One night our village was bombed and ambushed and we had to evacuate. It was winter and the snow was very deep. In the dream I walked (barefoot I believe) through the snow with a blanket wrapped around me. The light from the fires make it seem like there were street lamps in the woods. There were simply built wooden houses that were all on fire and my family was running ahead of me. One of my relatives, who I believe was an aunt or perhaps a cousin turned and motioned for me to hurry up as she turned the corner around one of the houses. I was struggling and was curious about what was going on around me because I didn't really understand that we were at war or that we were truly in danger. I didn't make it and believe that I was either shot or a bomb or grenade hit me and I passed away in the snow.

After I had this dream I didn't think too much of it but I soon realized that it read like a past life- the emotions I had surrounding it would sometimes fill me with anger and sadness- sadness at the little child I was who died so unfairly but also anger that not one adult came back to pick me up and help me when they saw I couldn't keep up with them.

I thought it odd that this life ended right before my other one began- if I was in my 20's during the 60's than it makes sense that perhaps this dream was showing me my life before that one. If that really is what it was then I am thankful I was shown this- as painful as it is to think about it is a gift.

I have often thought of painting a picture of that little girl because she is forgotten. No one in her family appreciated her. I was ignored a lot. I don't remember my name or what year I passed away. I was 6 or 7 I believe. This dream haunted me for a while and I would often think about it. I wondered to myself why a small remote village/camp in the hills would be targeted and then the thought immediately came to me that perhaps we were aiding and abetting Polish resistance fighters or that we were perhaps the wives and children of the fighters themselves. I looked up the Polish resistance movement online and found some pictures. There was one I found on Wikipedia of a man who was posing with a rifle drawn in front of a heavily wooded area and he looked just like the men in my dream. The trees looked similar as well.

How often do past lives come to people in dreams? This is the first time that has ever happened to me.

I'm really enjoying reading people's stories here. I wish that reincarnation was generally a more acceptable topic in everyday conversation because it is fascinating and I truly do believe in it! Remembering my own, as painful and disappointing as they were, has given me great insight into why I am the way I am and what specific things I need to do to move forward in this life.

Hi Violet,

I've read your story with interest and I can fully identify me with your struggles and questions. Sometimes it seems all vague but the emotions are the anchors amid the vagueness.
What strikes me reading your story is your struggle with the timeline of your past. If you were indeed the little girl that died, it seems very plausible for you to be reborn quickly afterward. You mentioned baby-boom and it feels like a strong word in your story. I guess you also mean you experienced the flower-power times? (end sixties and seventies). That was also often a lot of drugs involved.
You can do your own regression now. You've made contact with several old emotions and you can use them in a meditation to explore your past. Meditation is altering your brainwaves. When you relax and avoid stimuli from your surroundings ( a quiet room and nobody disturbing you) you can try to step into a certain emotion and highly likely you will see images popping up. Stay concentrated to remain in this state and try to look around inside these images, try to make them three dimensional. Ask questions and probably you get the answers directly inside your head as an instant knowing.
It's usually only a few seconds, especially in the beginning. Later, with more experience, you can make it last more seconds. Being short time doesn't matter because it's enough to be filled with a lot of information also as instant knowing. Write down as much as possible afterward. (I always need several days to fully connect all the dots and understand the information).
If you prefer dreaming, you can also ask yourself to get another meaningful dream next time you go asleep. It might work. In my experience dreams are easily mixed with symbolism and I am not so good at interpretation. Trying to evoke visual images being awake can have the disadvantage of them being flat images. You need to step in and ask questions for you to get an understanding.

Hi Violet!
Thank you for sharing your story. Your dream is interesting because it has a lot of details. Maybe it can help to find the place by researching about bombing cities/villages in Poland during WW2. Also it can help to pay attention to the way women were dressed or their hair style, jewellery, etc. Poland has some traditional pattern on fabrics as well as so many countries in central Europe. It can maybe help to localize a village if you can remember some details about the outfits.
I understand your feelings about sadness and anger. It's a common combo in some past life memories. For my part, I think the most difficult thing is to talk about the anger. Because people can always understand pain but judge anger easily. But it's such a real feeling in grief!
Anyway, welcome to the forum ;-) I hope you'll find more infos and help in your journey :)

Hi Violet,

I Also am quite new, having read a lot of posts before joining only a week ago. Despite having some natural pl memories since young, it isn't a subject I have ever studied to any extent. just sometimes read bits and pieces from time to time over the decades of my life now. So i'm not going to try and appear the expert. I was just thinking that from the situation of the adults who didn't come back for you to try to help you keep up. Quite apart from the lack of clear thinking from panic and the sudden onset of the innate instinct for survival that can blot out anything and everyone else, were the adults also trying to get other children away? It was almost certainly not a considered decision to not come back for you - and maybe others. Do you think there was anyone else also being left behind in the rush to escape? If your (perhaps) Aunt stopped for a moment to try and encourage you to move faster, did she maybe have children of her own that she needed to try and save - and to try and stay alive for? It seems that she did care very deeply, to even think to stop for even only a moment to try and have you move faster. It seems you were unsurprisingly very disorientated, were too young to grasp the urgency and perhaps not moving quickly. You were probably in shock. I'm not trying to make excuses for those who left you behind. I simply had the imagined image of the scene you described and that's what came to mind.

Also, probably lack of enough nutritious food, maybe even regular clean water and fuel may have left the women weak and with health problems. Most adults tend to ensure that children have as much food as possible to the point of not eating enough themselves. With the men away, the women and older girls would have had to do more work that the men would usually have done. Logging for domestic fires, repairs to their homes including the rooves, tending any large livestock. Some of the work would have been heavy and at times quite dangerous for even fit, able bodied women to carry out and have left them with little time. Paying less attention to older children could have been an unwelcome consequence of war, instead of deliberate neglect.

I doubt many adults can really understand what effect war has day in and day out, maybe for years on end without relent with no hope of end in sight. It must be soul destroying, and at least they tried to protect your young mind from the terror and fear for survival that as adults they must have endured all waking hours. I'm sure you have thought of most, if not all of that though. Your question is; how to get over it, and let it go? Perhaps try to reason it out from their points of views. Realise how distressed and devastated your then mum and family must have been when they realised. That upon returning to try and find you, they found only your little remains - that is if they survived. To Forgive. Is there any other way to recover, than to try and understand and forgive? It may not be possible to do so all in one go. It may take a little time, but when you have done so, then to say a genuine prayer in your heart and mind that they all will recover and heal in spirit and go on to better, happier times.

Just my Opinion, and I hope it isn't too inappropriate for how you are feeling at the moment.

Best wishes,

Angie
