Do You Remember?

My wife has passed on now, but keeps in touch through some intuitive friends. While she was here, she told me how much she enjoyed hearing stories from older people. My Mom was one of them, and along with reporting some somewhat riske' events from her youth, Mom also told her that when I was very small I had asked , " Do you remember when I was the Dad?" I do not remember, at 69 years of age, having been the Dad, but given my predilection for things mystical and spiritual, I am not surprised to hear that I did say this. In a group like this, I know it's a fairly common incident, but statistics are made from repetitive or common accounts : )

Your remembering having been a Dad may have nothing to do with a PL memory. It's rather common among children to play being adults they see around them in this life, being husbands and wives in everyday life etc.

I know that some children suddenly, at the age around 4 years, start remembering strange things improper of their age. I myself had a kind of explosion of memories of a very sexual nature at the age of 4.5 years. They soon dissapeared with no consequence. I tried, as a grown up fellow, to ask other people if they had had something of the kind as children, but got no answers, just ironical insinuations that I was presuming to be a super-macho and all that, you know, so I left off such attempts to find out.

I'm sure it could not happen due to any hormonal disorders at that age, and my parents were always very discreet and shy about sex.

"May have nothing to do with past lives". True, in the world of 'maybes', but I do sense the tone that I would have said it in, and my mother and I had a very close intuitive rapport. I'm quite sure that I meant exactly what I asked- I was not prone to playing any such games as you have suggested. And it would have been my dead seriousness and candor that got Mom's attention in that case- that caused her to take note of it and remember it for all of those decades. Today is tomorrow's past life!

It looks like the PL memories leak more easily at that age, but as a child cannot interpret adequately those recollections just for lack of experience, we don't retain them well as we grow older.
