does this sound like a past life memory??

Hi all I'm new to the forum so this is my first post :D

Last night I was having a conversation with my husband about the silly things we used to believe as a child.
mine was about what I used to think happened to us before we were born.
From a very very early age, in fact as far back as I can remember (my earliest memory is 3 years old) I was convinced and I could even picture in my head, I still can as clear as day.
its like I was in an old castle it was dark, dingy and I remember being very scared. I was being ordered to walk along a walk way high up in a massive room in the castle, I looked around and there were loads of dark rusty iron rectangular cages nailed to the walls with people inside them.
The next thing I remember is I was sitting in one of these cages and thats it.

Last night the more I thought about it the more it felt like medieval times so I did a bit of googling about medieval torture and sure enough they did use to put people in small cages as punishment, also slaves.
How could I know that when I was only 3 years old?

Welcome to the forum!

Wow, very fascinating and this definitely sounds like a past life memory! Do you have any other feelings on the subject?

if it is a past life memory as being in the cage was the last thing I remember it must have been how I died. The memory isnt of me looking at myself or picturing myself, I was actually seeing it through my own eyes if you see what I mean. I dont know the gender either.

I've just this minute rememered something that could be connected. About 2 years ago I had a dream (it was me as I am now in my dream) I was in a dark room full of cages exactly like the ones in my memory except in my memory they were rectangular and laying flat nailed to the walls but in my dream they were the same but standing up on the floor. in my dream I was alone but I knew I was going to go in one of these cages until I died and then I woke up.

Welcome to the forum. I would say this is a past life memory, especially since it's a recurring dream from a young age. You may want to start a journal and write everything down. You may start remembering more.

around the time I had the dream about the cages standing up I was having reaccuring dreams about being in a foreign country. I believe it was Iraq (im from the uk and have absolutely no connection to the country) I was havingdreams every night for a couple of weeks and in every dream I was terrified and was always trying to escape or I was running away from someone.

no I dont recall dreaming of events and they actuaIly happen.

the iraq dreams seem to be recent and in every dream I'm always with my eldest daughter who has just turned 7. that makes the dreams more scary because I'm always with her when im trying to escape. when I had the dreams about the cages in iraq she was with me and we had to pick a cage each and i remember thinking I've got to find a way to escape before we get put in the cages but I woke up. Another one was we were in some kind of compound with high walls, we found a tunnel so we crawled through it but we got lost trying to find our way out of all these tunnels. i couldnt see them but in the dream i knew someone was following us to try and stop us going.

I had a very similar dream in the same compound except we were walking along a high wall trying to get out and the same thing as the last dream i knew someone was chasing us to stop us going but I couldnt see them.

I thought maybe thats a subconscious dream because I would die to protect her so it gives me nightmares about her being in a dangerous situation and my over whelming instinct to protect her.

When were you born in the current life? The problems in Iraq have been going on for a long time. Have you ever seen Arabic writing? Does it look familiar?

Welcome to the forum, VickyBee! The things I've felt from childhood are the strongest proof of reincarnation for me, thoughts that didn't have such a chance to be coloured by the world around us.

As to your dream or Iraq, I strongly believe that past life memories intertwine with current concerns and memories from our current lives when we dream. Iraq's a pretty scary place right now, so perhaps your past life fears and experiences are projecting on that current backdrop?

As Argonne says, try to keep a journal of things you remember or dream or anything that strikes a chord with you. Nice to have you with us. wellllllcome

PS: I'm from the UK too!
