I was sitting in my easy chair and enjoying a pretty lazy weekend. As it usually goes, I began to drift off. I remained aware through the process and found myself with a curious sensation. It felt like a pressure at the surface right in the middle of my forehead. It was like something a little larger than a pinball steelie. It wasn't painful at all. The obvious way to describe it was like an eye was opening. Yes, it was where the "third eye" is said to be.
As I said, I stayed aware (not 'awake') and there was this strange feeling of being both in and outside of my body. The "in" my body was aware of the TV, the neighbor and his leaf blower, the cat on my lap, etc. The "outside" my body was aware of... how to say it? ... everything!!! It was amazing! One of those "total one-ness" events. It must have lasted ten minutes if my casual notice of the clock was correct.
I hope it happens again!
