When my kids were younger they used to amaze me with their connectedness to the other side. When my oldest was a baby and she had night terrors, my husband and I used to speculate on what such a young baby who has experienced no trauma would have to be so terrified about. We could only chalk it up to past life memories.

When she was two we moved into an historic home in our town and right away she let us know that we weren't alone there. She would hold long conversations with invisible (to us) people. I would ask her who her playmates were today and she would describe people that I had no way of verifying until one day when she told me that the young man she was conversing with was buried in the yard. This really surprised me - I didn't know there were graves on the 3 acre property. When I asked the landlord though, he confirmed that there was a civil war soldier buried there. I found his grave buried under some over grown bushes and cleaned it up for him. I hadn't told my daughter this before she told me that he was glad and says thank you.

My youngest daughter was even more inclined to converse with those that have passed. We lost several family members during a two year time and she would report to us on a regular basis from these people, even the ones she didn't really know. When she was two we moved to this house that was sold from the estate of a woman who died in her nineties. She would tell us, "Rose really likes what you've done with the dining room," or "Rose wants you to take care of the garden by the back fence better. Her dog Ralphie is buried there." That made me curious enough to ask the neighbors and they confirmed the death of her dog and that garden being Rose's tribute to him.

She was always good at finding things too. Whenever we would be ready to give up looking for keys or other lost items we'd ask her and she would invaribly find them. She'd toddle around with her nose in the air as if she were sniffing them out and then get excited and run to their hiding place. She found my keys in the freezer once! I had them in my hand and dropped them there when reaching for an ice tray.

Once when a friend was away on vacation with her kids, my daughter, who was three at the time, got really sad all of the sudden and told me that, "Zachy (my friend's son) broke his arm." I was startled by this news especially as her phrasing was so grown up, not, "he has an owie or a boo- boo" My friend called that evening to confirm that Zach had been hurt - but she said he broke his leg. I told her what my daughter had said and she said, "what time was that?" When I told her she confirmed that that was exactly the time the doctors had told her that they thought his arm was broken too. xrays revealed only a sprain in his arm.

Anyhow - these are my experiences with my kids. Now that they are older they don't exhibit any of this stuff and act disbelieving and embarassed when I tell them about the amazing things they did when they were little. Anyone have any idea how to keep kids in that place where they can tune into these gifts? Any ideas on how to get it back for them?
Anyway - a long post to tell my experiences with my kids. What a fun forum this is!

Welcome to the Forum BJM,

WOW what beautiful stories of your children. Isn't it amazing that the children know so much? Thank you for sharing them. Your children are very lucky that you are open to their expanded vision of the world and reality.

I am curious, does this type of awareness run in your family or your husbands? Or is this all new to you and your family?

I do meditations with my son on occasion..where we just play Tibetan Bowl music for about a half an hour and meditate. Afterward we share our experiences.

Now when I go on my long journeys to work he surrounds me in white light. When we feel someone might be in danger (New York for example) we put our hands close to one another and feel the energy between us in regard to our question. I allow him to speak first..to tell me his intuitive feelings. So far, I have never doubted them or found him wrong. He is amazing - at 16!

Again -WELCOME!

I´m also impressed by these stories, BJM!

Regarding your question, I would say by changing society to become more aware of the spiritual and parapsychological aspects to life. As long as the main stream is just bad old materialism, most children will sooner of later shy away from their deeper ground. For example, one of my own main subject, a very gifted Jewish girl in Amsterdam (with American parents) had fabulous memories of an intermission period as well as memories of two previous lives. However, when she became older, even SHE became skeptical about her very own memories. That´s what destructive materialist dogma -hypocritically posing as honest rationalism- does for us...
