Has anyone remembered a PL that doesn't belong to them? I was doing a self regression, and "popped" into the body of a man named Jubal Early. (not the civil war general, but his grandfather) I walked through my usual meditation door into a forest so dense, it felt primeval. I was wearing buckskins, and a soft foot covering. There was a large body of incredibly blue, peaceful water. Someone met me with a canoe, maybe a Native American, but he was "vague". My wife wasn't. Her name was Mary Polly, and she was really glad to see me. We had a supper served on a wooden trencher. It involved corn bread with sorghum molasses poured on it. We retired for the night to a bed with rope springs. As I stated earlier, Mary Polly was really glad to have me home, and the ropes were creaking. I thought, "Lord, we're going to wake the baby!" I thought my date of birth was 1762, and that I died young from some kind of infection. I thought around 1794. When I came back to my current reality, there Jubal was, on line, in all the details. He was born in 1764, instead of 1762, and died in 1792, instead of 1794. The thing that really got me going was his wife's name. It was listed as Mary Polly Cheatham! He left behind two little boys. I wasn't sure how many really large lakes Virginia has, but evidently there's a very large one that borders both Bedford County, where he was born, and Franklin County, where he died. Is there any rational explanation for this "memory", other than that I was Jubal Early? When I found his grandson, General Jubal Early, I knew it was the wrong man. To the best of my recollection, I had never heard of him. Does anyone on the forum experience other people's lives in this much detail?

When I look at old pictures some times.

I think you should put off the regression therapy for awhile.

You might be attracting unwanted spirits.

I don't think he was a spirit. I was in the body, so I'm thinking he was probably me. It seems a little bit too easy, how it all "pops" into my head with names and dates. I was a little shocked when the name came up on my first search. He is not famous, just in a lot of family trees. I was expecting to get something Elizabethan, but you have to "go with the flow", and not force anything. I used the questions Helen Wambach used with her subjects. I will try to post them in a few days, so others can try them. They're obviously effective.

I'm not convinced I'm not him, but I have glimpsed another person from this time period. That vignette didn't have as much detail as Jubal Early. I've read that after a regression, many people question what they saw and heard. I guess I'm no different. Helen Wambach's subjects didn't get names and dates that easily. And like you, argonne, I've read so many books, and seen so many movies, that there may not be a thought or "memory" in my head that's original. It's too bad that reincarnation wasn't studied before the media age. We've all led hundreds of lifetimes through electronic media. And besides, I would like to be sure I'm not "possessed", as shadows suggested.

Well, I have had dreams where I saw glimpses of memories or events that I knew were someone elses, but not that detailed.

I would say if you were 'in the body' of this person, seeing from their perspective, that you were that person. BUT - you should always trust your own instincts...And your emotional connections (or lack of). I hope you find out more! You already have a lot of names and dates to go on.

I've become convinced that I was Jubal, Lady. I think nailing his wife's name was evidence enough. This pretty much gives me a life map, going back to 1762. I think I see a pattern emerging. Jubal died at 33, and left behind a wife and two little boys. My next two lives died unmarried and childless. I think I felt so terrible about not being able to raise my children, that I chose not to have any for a life time or two. I think I posted this in the paranormal section, because I have only been working on PLs since last October, and like many other members, I sometimes wonder if I'm "losing my grip"! I guess not. If I become "daft", I want to be gloriously "daft", not some poor backwoodsman!

What you described certainly sounded like a pl...and if you see through his eyes, to me that would indicate it was you, and while I may see through my eyes, I don't see through other's eyes, though I often see the previous "me" from outside the body. What sense of judgment and criticism did you have for him? How intense were your emotions regarding wife and kids? Did you get any view into the purpose or benefit of that life?

During my seven years of "investigation" via various means, I have found recently that information has begun to come to me at a much more clear, fast and easy pace. I used to have to go through a ritual to obtain access to my akashic records and now I can slip in sideways when half asleep and get answers I barely expected to ever find...to me this means first, I shouldn't be surprised by what is available, and second, it seems the veil is thinning rapidly. Has anyone else gotten this sense of "easier access and availability"?

Yes, it's getting easier all the time to get the information. I am curious, like Usetawuz, as to whether others are having the same experience. As to the questions, I didn't have very strong emotion. I looked in the door, and the forest was so beautiful that I went inside. In this life, I am often uneasy about water, but getting in the canoe was easy, and natural. The only canoes I have ever been in are the Indian war canoes at Disneyland! The water was cold, but it was summer. I seem to "block" memories where I was a man. All I got from the bedroom scene was the creaking sound, and a feeling of warmth, and welcome. I loved my babies. I felt sad to die at 33, and leave them, and the poor girl to cope. My father was a man of some means, so I hope they were cared for. My son, Joab, became a figure of respect, but I don't know what happened to little Henry. Oh, there is emotion! My little boys! I need to find out if they're here now!
