I just thought I'd share some of the research I've done in to one of my past lives.
I'd like to start off by saying that when I do self regressions, as well as a name, I always try to ask myself for an age and year in the life I'm exploring. And until I have a fair few of these, I don't even attempt to research verifications (just in case I start influencing my memories).
Anyway, the life I seem to have the most memories from is as a man called Thomas Colton, and I believe this is my most recent life before my current one.
My memories from this life aren't etraordinary (though I believe I was comfortably well off), but I somehow find them very comforting so I enjoy visiting them.
The first I had was an 8 year old boy in 1759 being walked through a very busy street by a woman who seemed to be in her 50s. (When I said my memories comfort me, maybe this is an exception, this particular woman scared me a little. I think she was my nanny or equivalent. She certainly wasn't my relative, though I knew her well).
In another regression, it was 1780, and I was sitting at a large rectangular wooden table. I was at the head of the table; with my chair at an angle. Another man was sitting along the side to my right (I believe he was my friend). I was reading a book and talking with this man. He was joking to me over my recent marriage. My right foot was crossed over my left and I could see I was wearing a dark waistcoat and jacket, long white socks, and cream breeches.
1783, I was peering at myself in front of a large wooden vanity table with an oval shaped mirror. I have an oval face. My hair is light brown and wavy, and tied in to a loose pony tail. I'd just gotten dressed and was pleased with my appearance. I left the room and begin to walk down the stairs to go and check on my wife who is giving birth.
And now my personal favourite; I have just entered a room with a rectangular table to one side, and a small flat top piano in the corner. This is my home. There is a man of decent age (50+) with grey hair standing next to the table. He is my father. There is also a young woman of about my age in the room. She is wearing a long layered pale blue dress. Her hair is a light (almost blonde) brown and tied up. She has a round face and is pretty. She is visiting.
She smiles and says “I hear you play the piano very well. Will you play for me?”
I smile back and say “Of course”. I sit down at the piano in the corner and begin to play. I am excited to have a girl take an interest in me.
After many self-regressions of this life, I decided to look up the name and dates to see if there was any evidence for it. And not only did I find my name, but a matching date of birth, year of marriage, and year of birth for my son. I'm pleased that I waited to check on validity, otherwise I possibly wouldn't have believed that I had remembered so well.
As well as sharing these memories, I was wondering does anyone else have memories from the Georgian period?
