Grandchilds remembrance?

Hi....I just found this site. It's great. I read over a lot of the posts the other day, and I will read more in a few minutes. I don't have a "lot" to say, but just one thing that happened a few yrs ago. So where should I start? Ok - I had a most favorite great aunt on my dads side. Her name was Rose. I used to visit her quite often when I was age 12 to 18, and then I moved further away. She was an old plish lady and I would visit her at nite. Every Friday she would wash the kitchen floor on her hands and knees and every Sat. she would bake. She was close to 80 yrs old at that time. I would sit with her at the kitchen table and we would drink pop and talk. I loved her dearly. She would start nodding off and fall asleep at the kitchen table. I would say she should go to bed. She would say she was afraid to cuz she might "die in her sleep." That's how her husband died so maybe that's why she was afraid. I would always tell her that she will NOT die in her sleep and not to wrry so much.

Well, a few yrs went by and then I heard that she had died. She must have been 86 then. She did NOT die in her sleep as she was so worried about. She died by falling doewn the cellar stairs and hitting her head on the wall. She died instantly. She was my dads aunt.

Then in 1986 my dad died after suffering terribly for three yrs with throat cancer. At that time all of my "favorite" relatives were all "dead" and I was plunged into a new future with only the younger ones left.

In 1996 my only grandchild was born. She is six now. I watched her a lot when she was real small. When she was close to two and a half I thought I would try to ask her questions and see if she "remembered" anything. I had always wondered if she was my dad come back or someone else in the family. Now I wish I would have used a tape recorder. I didn't really expect much. It was a spur of the moment thing. I was giving her a bath, and I thought I would go thro the list of all my favorite relatives who had passed on years before. I started with my dads family as it was my favorite. I must have asked her about 15 names. I would say something like...."Do you remember uncle walter? Do you remember cousin Eleanor? Do you remember Mr.Krushy? Every time she would say...."Gone" or she would say "far away". The ones who had died like 30 yrs ago she would say "far away". The ones who had died in the recent past she would say "gone". Then i asked her, " Do you remember Rose Kieta?" I was not expecting the answer i got. Right away she said in a matter of factly way, "Rose Kieta fall down." I was surprised to hear that and i said "Rose Kieta fall down??" She got mad and raised her voice and said "ROSE KIETA FALL DOWN...HIT HEAD!!!" As she said that she took her arm and made the motion of falling down and then POINTED to her head at the same time she said "hit head!" When i tried asking more questions she would not answer anymore !

So after that i figured that she had to be someone on my dads side of the family who came back. Odd it was just 10 yrs after my dad passed. I wondered if she was my dad or my grandmother who died when i was ten and i never really knew her especially since she never spoke English. My daughter in laws mom died many yrs ago too and i had wondered if she might have been the mom come back., but recently i got confirmation
that she can't be the mom cuz the moms brother was very sick and he told the family that at bed time he saw his two brothers and one sister (the mom) sitting on his bed and they told him that he was gonna join them soon. So that ruled out the daughter in laws side of the family. So is my grandchild my dad or grandmother? I don't know. After that she never talked again and when i would ask her she would not remember anything at all. I was very close to my dad. Now, the only other way that the child may have "known" about my aunt falling down, was when BEFORE she was born - I used to tell a couple of friends that story about the aunt falling down - I remember telling a friend that when we were driving in the car. So - could the "Spirit child" have been hovering around checking out her soon to be family and HEARD that story before she was born? Even if so, I think that she would have forgotton it as it would not have been important to HER. For her to remember so clearly and say in such a forceful way that the aunt fell down and hit head - she must have been close to the aunt and known. I don't think she could be my great aunt cuz the aunt had a great grandchild who was born way after she died.

This is an interesting little story that has bugged me over the years. I went to visit my relatives one time and saw this cute little girl. Her name was Marla. We were all standing outside. Little Marla must have been like 4 yrs old. An airplane flew overhead and she looked up and kept saying, "airplane come and get me, airplane come and get me." I thought that was strange as my great aunt - the childs great grandmother who she never met - was terrified of airplanes. Marla was wearing a scarf on her head and a little sweater, and as she kept saying that i couldn't help thinking that she looked like a little old polish lady ! So maybe she's the aunt come back, and that's why i don't thik that my grandchild is my great aunt. Whoever she is she's from my dads side of the family and she must have wanted to come back to be close to me. Her home life isn't the best. Her parents aren't the best and i take care of her a lot. So she came back to a very hard life. I have had to help her, feed her good, buy her clothing and things many times. I even take a lot of pictures cuz the parents don't bother. So she must have known that she would have a hard life. Her parents are poor and if it wasn't for me she would have gone without many things. So who is she?

Interesting, I couldn't help thinking she is the aunt, but you think not? When you get born again you have to let go of the old ego, so it would be normal to speak in the third person (she) about one's own past personality. My daughter is an only child , she sometimes refers to her past personality as her "sister".

She might also have been around your Dad's family in spirit form, or have been a friend of the family. Or she might have some mediumistic talents and have been communicating with a spirit or spirits from your Dad's family when she answered those questions. You don't really know without additional clues. Have you tried with your Mom's family, or names of other people?
