Help me figure out what happened?

I'm trying to make sense of something that happened yesterday, and I ultimately ended up here.

I work in an emergency services type job, and yesterday we got a call that ended up being a man having a diabetic episode. His sugar was really low and he was very out of it when I was talking to him. I asked him a few questions to try to keep his attention. I was overcome immediately when I looked in his eyes. Not in this "I'm attracted to you" kind of way, but just completely overwhelmed by an emotion I couldn't make sense of. When he would look at me, it was almost like he was surprised to see me there (that could have been because he was out of it though). He kept looking back at me, and it was so unsettling that I had to look away (not that he was looking at me, but the feeling I was getting).

I felt like I knew him, but I didn't. I've never experienced anything like this before. I kept getting these flashes of pictures in my head but I didn't know where they were coming from. I was just so shocked at what I was feeling, I can't even explain it.

After his sugar was brought back up, he started to leave, but then stopped and came back to talk to me. I think he felt it too. He thanked me for helping him out.

Then I saw him again today (which is weird, I saw him two days in a row!)...I asked him where he was from. He said a different country, and told me that I needed to go with him. Strange for a five minute conversation, and being that it's only the second time I've met him? I swear he must be feeling the same thing I did...

What do you think? This is the craziest thing I've ever experienced. It obviously overwhelmed me because I went straight home and told my friend!

That's absolutely amazing. It's sounds like you two have a resounding soul connection. Where does he want you to go? Does he want to get to know you better to try to find out what is going on between you two? What kind of flashes are you getting? You both probably have known each other in another life, that is a safe bet.

Hi confused.

Welcome to the forum.

That feeling that 'you've known someone before' is not uncommon but it is unmistakable. It is often because, well, you have known them. The soul remembers, even if the mind forgets.

More importantly perhaps, what did he want to say to you? Perhaps, since you just 'saved his life' there is some karma at work between you. It would be interesting to find out?

Keep us posted. Interested to hear what happens.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to see him again today. I'll keep you posted!

Zeon, he wanted to take me to the country where he's from. We literally only had a five minute conversation, and it was the second time I've ever seen him. The only thing I can take from that is that he must've felt that strange feeling, too.

hi confused i'd say that's a strong connection and something brought you two together in that moment. if it is a past life, maybe you're picking up where you last left off ? i agree with briarrose, please be careful. when someone says you have to come with me i'd be a little hesitant too. keep it public. maybe you can ask if its ok to bring a friend or have the person you already shared with on call just in case.

could it be karmic ? thanks for sharing and looking forward to your future post

welcome : )

ps. sometimes chasing these things get us no where. but thats not true for everyone.

Even though you have a past life connection, I think you should proceed very carefully, Curious. Even past life connections can be dangerous, and "other" than what they seem. If you set up a meeting with him again, make sure it's in a public place. :) I know you are an adult, but past life meetings can play havoc with our emotions.

Welcome to the forum. It does sound like there is a past life connection here. But be careful, not only do we run into friends and loved ones again but also enemies, etc. Life continues, just a new chapter in the book. I would like to hear about the pictures you saw in your head. Has this ever happened before? This indicates you are probably a good subject for doing regressions. You will learn more about that later. I would start keeping a journal or log and the pictures and this experience can be the first entry. Did you ever have any odd or unusual experiences as a child? Did your parents ever tell you that you said things that seemed odd or unusual?

Can you tell us what flashed through your mind? The connection sounds cool but please don't go anywhere with him ... there is the internet to stay connected until you know who he is this lifetime.

Please keep us posted. :)

Do you know what country he is from? Do you have any connections to this country or feel any draw or pull to it? Have you ever had any 'psychic' experiences in your life before? Meaning stuff you couldn't explain?

Please keep us updated on what you find out from him today.

Thanks for all of the replies! :)

As far as meeting with him in a public place, I have been--but I wasn't even worried about it anyway. Like I said, I work in an emergency services type job, so when he has seen me, it's when I'm parked on the side of the road (public) watching traffic. He pulls his car up next to mine and we chat in our separate vehicles. Thanks so much for the cautious words... I am being safe though, no worries. :)

So as an update, I did see him again today. He saw me again on his way home from work and pulled up next to me. We talked about his past and what brought him here. He is from Egypt. When I started to think about it, I remembered how fascinated I was with Egypt as a child. I don't want to start making false connections, but I did think that was pretty interesting.

The things that flashed through my mind were pretty strange. It all happened in that moment when I first met him, and I was extremely overwhelmed by the entire scenario. What's crazy to me is that I've dealt with these emergency scenes on so many occasions, and this has never happened to me before...I'm quite used to emergency scenes. So as far as what I was seeing--it was when I was watching him that it happened, and I kind of almost felt like I was watching what was happening from the outside (crazy, but yeah), and mainly when his eyes met mine like he was shocked to see me there... The images that were going through my mind were of a house or an apartment, or some sort of place you would call home. I remember a room of some kind, and there was lots of white (sheets? curtains?)... He was there; it was almost like memories of a relationship of some sort, but the strangest part of it was that the feelings that were associated with those flashes (sometimes of laughing, sometimes not, it was all very bright and white) were very intense, argumentative type of feelings. Like a strong, strong love that was accompanied by heated anger. Like I said, I was completely overwhelmed by what was going on in my head when I was looking at him that first day, and none of it made sense to me. I have no idea what to make of that.

I am going to have coffee with him tomorrow. I'll continue to update. I want to ask him why he came back to see me...to see if maybe he had that crazy moment, too.

Oh, I forgot to answer a couple of questions. Yes, I've had "psychic" moments. In the last year alone, for example, I have said to someone close to me that I kept getting visions of fire. The next morning, there was a huge fire in a house down the street from where I live. That happened again a few months later; I told my sister that I kept smelling fire. The next day there was a very large fire down the street from where she works. Stuff like that. I'll get these strong feelings, and every time I get that feeling, the people close to me know what it means. I'm not particularly inclined toward any belief, but it does strike me as odd at times.

I should mention that the day that I met this guy, I woke up and said to my sister, "I feel an adventure coming on today." There was something strange in the air.

I love it! I'm an adventuresome sort myself so I love adventure. Anything new or inexplicable is for me. I'm always searching for the mysteries of life. Please keep us updated!

This is the first time I've ever really had to question what's happening as far as the mysteries of life go--I usually go with the flow, take things as they come, and shrug the curiosities off (like those "psychic" moments I have :) ). I am very open to ideas, but I'm also extremely rational. I like to find the logic in things. I've been obsessing on this because it makes absolutely no sense to me. I have to pursue it to find out what it means, though. I'll definitely keep you updated!

There are several members here who had past lives in Egypt. Have you ever had an "Out of Body" experience, OBE? Your following post confirms that you do have strong psychic abilities, mainly precognition. You know things before they happen. I would also start learning about psychic abilities in addition to reincarnation. Many people who have past life memories also have strong psychic abilities. The two seem to go hand in hand. BTW, some law enforcement types, and EMT, have psychic abilities. It helps them in their work. If there were more psychics in these fields I think the crime rate might go down a little.

Do you know who Dr. Rupert Sheldrake is? Take a look at

.

I think we have a similar outlook. I find myself to be a very rational person in method but very curious about things that I don't know about. I find that most things can be approached from a rational basis however, reincarnation included.

Good work confused,

This can be very overwhelming (I know). But, this is how it is - flashes, emotions, things you 'know' but you don't know 'why'.... It's confusing and exciting, but it can be very important too. This is an experience not to be ignored.

Please try to focus on what is going on 'for you'. The feelings can be very strong and it can feel like a big adventure (because it is). But, this is a lot more common than you might think.

No doubt you and your 'new' friend have a lot to explore. Softly softly. Gently gently. (That's my advice).

Best wishes. Let us know how you get on. All very fascinating.

Not the least bit 'crazy'. 'Authentic' is my word for this experience. It feels like a 'bolt from the blue' because... it is. Again, more common than you might think, just that people don't know how to (who to) talk about it.

So we met up and we went for a drive for about two hours. Conversation was very easy with him. We talked about everything--my past, his past, what we're doing now, etc. Well at one point in conversation, he said, "So tell me what you thought that first day when you met me?" I was hesitant because I didn't want to seem crazy, so I said, "Why don't you tell me what you thought? It's so hard to explain."

He said, "Well, I thought I had met you before. Like maybe in my dreams."

It's so cool that he got that feeling too. :) I'm still exploring this. It's very interesting and exciting.

He has just opened the door. Maybe you can say something like "maybe we knew each other in a past life or something."

I wanted to update with what's been happening lately with this guy. I have seen him a lot over the last couple of weeks. We mainly just talk to each other, and I've gotten more comfortable in talking about this thing that happened. He has said things like, "When I first saw you I felt like I knew everything about you, like I knew you forever, but I know I didn't." I think it's so crazy that he had the exact same feeling that I had....

He also asked me at one point after staring at me for a minute, "Where do I know you from?" I didn't know what to say... I just replied, "I don't know, where do I know you from?"

So another strange thing that's been happening for the last few days is that I've been dreaming about him. Every time I have a dream about him, we're surrounded by water--in an ocean, etc. Last night when I dreamed about him, we were on a boat, and the water was so rough. I don't know what this means or what significance it has, but I think it's odd that there's always water.

I think those are past life dreams. Start writing this down. You may get more details.

Do you have a record of the date (and time) that you first met? It can be analysed astrologically to see what the connection is, if you ever go down that route. As argonne1918 said, keep a record ... of everything. Times are esp. important.

I met him on March 18 at about 4:40 PM (I can get the exact time if necessary, but it's right around there--between 4:30 and 4:45). I'm curious about what you said about the astrology piece of it...how would I find out? Is there a place I can go online, or do I have to see someone in person?

People recall past lives roughly fifty/fifty in dreams or when awake. The 'dreamers' often use a technique where they ask for a dream before they go to sleep. Be sure to keep pen and paper handy by the bed. Maybe even write the request down in your dream book to aid with the self-suggestion process.

Another technique is to do a 'meditation' on it. Relax, picture the two of you at sea, the ocean is rough, etc.... then just see what happens next. Trust yourself that it is real and just go with what comes even if you think you are imagining it, just tell your mind to be quiet and stay with it.

There's a thread about a technique that I find useful called 'Active Meditation'. Take a look. Maybe it will help you to uncover more.

I agree with what's been said, be careful. Even if you get to trust him more, make sure you really get to know him and that people you know meet him too before you go anywhere with him. I'm not saying your experience isn't real, but there are some less-than-great people out there in this world who will gladly exploit the feelings and emotions of others.

That said, it's interesting that you both got that feeling at the same time. You should try to find out if he remembers anything to do with water or the white room. I wouldn't just bring it up (because if you say something about how you always see him around water in your dreams, he could falsely recall something similar) but try to ask him if he ever has any memories or something from knowing you.

In your memories of the white room, does he look the same as now? Or did he look like a different person but you just "knew" it was him?

Update...I've gotten to know him pretty well, and he says the same things that I do...that it's crazy that he feels like he's known me forever or that he knows me really well when he just met me, that he feels like this is different and strange, and he is really blown away by it just like I am. I love to know him. This is all very weird, but I also feel like it's extremely significant! It's the first time I've ever truly questioned this life and what I believe...it's allowed me to delve deeper into my beliefs...which is actually kind of important to me because I've been really torn up about what I believe in due to the nature of my job over the last four years.

Phthalo, I didn't actually see him in my visions. Or at least I don't think I did. I'm not sure how to explain it. I visualized laughter in a white room, or a bright room, I think the white represented the brightness of the room. It was a living area so I assumed it was a living room. There was a lot of happiness and laughter. I visualized what I think was a female laughing (maybe me?)--it was a very happy or a very loving scenario. Then it was quickly followed by anger or rage. Like a lot of love followed by a lot of rage. I didn't see anything so much as I felt it. I didn't see a male or a female specifically. I did see a mouth laughing, which I think was a female's mouth. But I really just felt a lot of emotion.

I know there was a male and a female there, and I think it was me and him, but I didn't see his face. I didn't even see the room beyond the brightness. I just felt a lot.
