Help with all of these loose ends - possible connection to Olive Oatman (1837 - 1903)

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and decided to sign up for a little more information and guidance. I did my second ever regression today, via the use of a video. As usual, I got very little that felt 'strong' and a few things that I still don't know if were memories or just my imagination. A little detail of the things I experienced:

First Regression (3 years ago):
-In Ireland
-Living in a small farmhouse with husband
-Not very much money

Second Regression (Today):
-Started off standing in a field full of long grass, my intuition told me I was in North America, but it didn't look like it. In fact, it looked more like Ireland.
-I was a white girl with blonde long hair.
-I first felt my name began with L. It was a blur and hard to gather, so i'm not sure if my name was either Lucy/Lucilla or a similar variant.
-I was a little girl of 4 years old.
-Wearing a pink/red dress made of silk. Very expensive dress but it was ripped.
-I had a sense of being completely away from everything and everyone I knew. I only felt comforted by presence of a boy who I didn't see, but had a sense he wasn't the same race as me and didn't speak my language.
-The regression asked to move forward 20 years and I was standing in a cold rainy street in London. I had the exact same feeling of watching everyone go by and feeling completely alone. I think I may have been a prostitute at this point.
-The name Charles suddenly popped into my head at this point. I know that he was some sort of love interest/partner of mine, but that I didn't love him. He was upper class and had blonde hair.
-Sensed that I loved the boy from 20 years before, even though I didn't know him.

Dreams:
-Between the age of 8-14, I occasionally dreamt vividly about a native american boy. I was in love with him deeply in the dream, despite the fact we were both just teenagers. He was in England in my dreams. He showed me love like nobody ever had before, he taught me his ways and I loved how he could be so at one with nature. I remember distinctly always dreaming of making kites out of feathers and him teaching me to fly them. There was always this sense in my dreams that we weren't supposed to be together. It was forbidden, but it was never really revealed why. I used to wake up from these dreams and feel so sad that I couldn't fall asleep again.

If anyone can help me understand this and especially why a little girl would be in North America when she was either English/European, and with Native Americans, only to be back in London 20 years later.

Welcome to the forum. I think all of these were valid past lives that you saw. You didn't mention a year. Have you heard of the "French and Indian Wars"? This was before the Revolutionary War.

Yes I agree with Argonne, the French Indian War immediately comes to mind. While the conflict took place in North America, it was only one theatre of a global conflict known as the Seven Years' War, (it could even be argued as the true First World War). In the French Indian War, the British allied with many Native American tribes, most notably the Iroquois to fight the French in Central North America. The French also allied with Native Americans not as exclusively. From what I remember in history class, many Native Americans did wind up going to the United Kingdom for various reasons before during and after the war, so it is very possible your supposed past life incarnation interacted with one.

Welcome to the forum! Did the young Native American man have any distinct markings? Any distinct head dress, any distinct hairstyles i.e mohawk, etc. If you google under his style of dressing you might be able to pinpoint a tribe?

Thanks for all your replies.

I know nothing about Native Americans and hadn't heard of this particular period in history where there was turmoil.

With regards to what the boy was wearing, he had no headdress and I don't remember much other than that his hair was very short, almost like a buzzcut. I can only really remember him as a teenager and remember his very tanned skin and some kind of black 'tattoo' like markings on his skin.

Edit: When I think of him, I don't see his face or a literal image of him, I just think "black on tanned skin". He had many black adornments like feathers and beads on jewellery.

I looked at several tribes and came to this photograph and started to have a panic attack...so strange. It felt like I was in a small space amongst all these faces.

This is the Blackfoot tribe. I know nothing about them, so will do a little more research.

Hi Moonlightdancer,

The French and Indian war period was too early for photography, and the Blackfoot are a Western tribe which was not, I believe, involved in any significant way in this conflict (though this is based on memory and not research). So, the photo may be reminding you of another tribe, or if your memories do pertain to the Blackfoot, it may be that the time period is later than the French and Indian War. Just guessing . . . .

None of those tattoos ring any bells.

I remember the boy had slightly more weight to him than many pictures I have seen of Native Americans, i wonder if this is significant. He wasn't overweight, but 'sturdy'.

More about what I remember of myself in this regression, I had a crimson/pink toned silk dress on with white lace detailing to the neckline and arms. I believe that as I grew up as a teenager, I fell in love with said Native American boy and he with me. I sensed that our relationship was short lived and that we were hiding from the tribe and from whomever I was there with. The tribe found out and I was sent away back "home" wherever that was and the boy was in some way punished and outcast.

You were probably from a neighboring tribe. I wonder if they had "arranged" marriages? Maybe his parents wanted him to marry someone else.

Hi Moonlight,

My basic assumption was, that if the person you remember was associated with the venture described, he was part of their entourage (if there was one), not one of the chiefs/"kings". He may have been the son of one of the chieftains or had some other connection. The Chieftains involved are older than you describe and were probably more circumspect characters.

PS--You may wish to research tattoos used by these particular tribes and see if you can find anything in historic paintings that rings a bell. Likewise, since you seem to be remembering details about your dress, you may wish to research that in terms of period dress styles (as well as anything you can remember about his dress). Clothing styles can often be a great clue to historic period/location.

Oh my god, thats the man I loved, the slightly chubby man in this picture to the left of the Chief.

She had a sister called Lucy, I think that's where "Lucille" came from.

There is an episode of "Ghost Inside My Child" with a girl who gave details of being Olive Oatman and identified Oatman's photo of being "Me".

This interested me enough to look into the possibilities. I thought you might enjoy exploring the links I found. I obviously don't have the emotional resonance you'd encounter, so I'll let you take it from here.

A list of Texan captives. https://tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/bxi01

This list probably contains most of the above. All girls/women who were at some point captives of Native American tribes. http://womenshistory.about.com/od/indiancaptivitynarratives/a/indian_captivity_narratives_3.htm

Thank you for the intersting reads, but none of these ring any bells. I feel the most connection to Olive and the drawing of the tribe...I feel like the man I picked out, his soul almost sticks out as the person I knew.

I have stomach cramp when I regress and I start to panic, I think I was pregnant at some point whilst with this tribe, but I'm not from a tribe at all.

FYI -- A little Southern girl had even more detailed memories. Her mom researched her daughter's statements and came up with Olive Oatman (1837 - 1903) as a best match.
