Hint of a Spanish Life

I've said before that I suspected I'd had a life in Spain but had so far had no dreams or anything to support this. This morning I woke with the place Lorca in mind.
I have heard of Lorca in Spain but never been. It's the capitol of Murcia, another place I'd always felt meant something. It's a place with alot of history and I'd have no idea yet of any time period. Looking at some pictures I would say there's some fimiliarity there.
Just shows you should trust the gut instinct

Hi, Starrynight!

That's interesting, count on me if you need me for validations. My dad was born in Murcia, I've been there a few times and that's not the same than living there, but probably it's easier for me to find information.

I guess you've heard of Lorca because of the earthquake in 2011, they're still suffering the consequences! :(

Hi eowyn, acttually didn't know about the earthquake until I googled. Don't.know where I was to miss that, we have friends in spain & do take an interest. Always felt like it was my 2nd home. Love spanish people as well-would like to be a token one.

I need to do some research. I'm pretty sure I was in majorca in 1 life. Not sure whether I was passing through or lived there, so whether it's the same life or not.

Again such a small world. Have you been to murcia? I have a picture in my head of a spain away from the tourists resorts, more remote & arid landscape?

Yeah, the old dry Castilla!

The center of Spain is quite dry, arid, very hot in summer and very cold in winter! Nothing to do with the coast. Murcia is one of the hottest provinces.

Mallorca is very different too. A big island, but still an island. Personally I love the area of the mountains.

Personally I always felt drawn to places like Seville and Cadiz.
Armada, I say the same to you. I've also visited these places, and I even have family in Cádiz. Glad to know there are people here with possible past lives in Spain!

Possible? If anyone else around here had a PL under the reign of Philip II, it might be possible that we'd met once upon a year in the 1500s...

Where I live now in Calif. is very similar to this area of Spain. Nothing like the coast!

I have had a PL in Spain, but have been unable to date it, even using the internet for clothing clues. I am interested in how much you remember about that ship in your signature, Armada. I presume the "Rosario" was a ship in the Armada, and not a person?

Yes, one that had the unfortunate pleasure of being captured by Drake...

At least you have an understanding of where your seemingly "irrational" dislikes come from. It is obviously not irrational in your case. Our world would be different if everyone remembered the sources of their dislikes. I can't say it would be better - the whole thing might perpetuate grudges. As you mature, maybe it will be your soul task to let go of the hatred. I think we "remember" for a reason. The import of your memories can't be "Beware of privateers and the French!" ;)

Yeah, it could be possible, though I think in the 1500's I was inland, between Spain and France... working for a... well, let's say doing some secret errands. So, you are right I lived under the reign of Philip II... and in this life I have visited El Escorial a few times too, and know about esoteric legends about this king. All really interesting. If you ever come to Spain we can do a tour together!

But if there's something we do have in common is that we both died in a sea battle... believe me, I know how it feels. This past life was a bit later though, probably in 1756. It's great to find old "colleagues". Maybe we could go sailing and fetch some evil pirates! :D

I think the dislike isn't really there in this life for the reasons I think... Without the dislike I never would've looked through stuff about Drake to see if I could find anything that rang a bell, and without doing that I doubt I ever would've come across any English records of the Rosario even existing.

I'd really like to see Spain again... Though that's a real matter of money.

It's probably the only country I still miss in this lifetime.

:) Haha, pirates are alright... But I'd still like to have stuffed Drake into a cannon. ;)
