How can we be shure that past life memories are not from spirits who put them into our memory ?

This is what I thought for years and years had happened to me when I went to visit the US (not from the US, that is). I did not identify myself as this other woman who I had many flashbacks of. After some years of this my friend, who was psychic and remembered a past life. And remembered knowing me from this past life, as we were friends then too, described some of her detailed memories that she could not have known that I later found proof of; I still had trouble believing it. I did not believe in reincarnation back then. The way I see it one goes to do a check list to see if it could be your past life memories.
- is it memories or just plain fantasies ? research...
- are we the same type, looks, personality, little quirks, interests
- are there people from the past life that recognize the old person in the new person, so to speak. ( this is of course a rare thing, but I know of 2 such cases ).
- if the death was traumatic in some way people tend to hold on to, remember their past life more
- if the death was traumatic (repeat I know ) people tend to have a kind of mark, like a birthmark, but this seem to be up for discussion on this forum what people think about it
I suppose a person that pick up other people's memories must go by checking the above and what it feels like, what does it feels like to be this person; could this be I etc.

We can know, because these are not just memories, but something embedded deep within, especially deep pains and traumas which can emerge with some past-life recall. This is not just like a dream or seeing a film, it is something which is lived and felt at every moment.
There are different types of memories. Sometimes when I did a regression with a video or by meditation, I found myself in stories and images that were like short impressions of other times. Without strong emotions. I do store these 'memories' in the back of my head but I don't 'work' with them because of some kind of doubt within me. I just wait if these memories fade away or come back with more details. I don't believe in spirits that put false memories in my brain, it's more that I doubt my own creative mind. Hahaha.
Another kind of memory is when you relive some kind of trauma. In this case, there is no need to doubt where this comes from. You have to deal with this pain and trauma because it projected itself into your present life. Even if it were a fabrication of your own mind, you still have to deal with it in a proper way to heal yourself. Afterward, you feel more complete, saner and stronger than before.
The few times spirits, other people's memory come into my mind (not my body) they send for instance a short image, scene, I must at first erase myself completely from my mind. My walls are thin. This can be a problem but also a gift sometimes. I don't have enough walls when people get angry. Because I make a deliberate decision I can then receive it and I know it is from another channel, I know it is not me, it is not my own memories, I feel it is not me. has never been me. One feels it. I can't very well explain it. There is also interaction. So I communicate, but I can't very well communicate with myself, someone else is communicating back. I have to erase myself, I have to erase my speed and I have to erase what I have been taught here on earth, words to use. In instant I get info, emotions that would take much longer if one person talked to the other and not even then would I get all the info I get in that instant moment. So no I don't think it is possible to receive past life memories from someone else and not know it isn't you or is you, you know. I think it is possible to trigger someone else to remember their own story, if we are soulmates and have that past life together.

I think it is the same with the children. Can feel when it comes from someone else, from the outside, not the inside. My daughter was surprised and angry when she was younger, saying to me "You don't remember?!" when she was talking about our own past lives so she knew who I was too. My daughter made no difference line to who she use to be to whom she is in this life. Sometime I was confused. To to tell her no this has not happened (in this life we live now) and she would get floor by it, and tell me of course not, and why don't I remember this too. She had a difficult temper in her past life, as my Italian mother, and she took this with her. Not always. When not angry she is wonderful. She would say that we take turns, first she takes care of me, then I take care of her. Basta.
she forgets sometime she is my daughter, command me like she is my mother. She has dealt with spirits, knows they come from the outside. They want to come closer, she wants them to go away. She know the difference.Best Wishes

Children's past-life recall is often accompanied by a whole bunch of other things, such as fears and phobias relating to situations or circumstances which they haven't been in during the current life, such as a fear of drowning, or of tall buildings, something relating to that past, but not a familiar part of the current life. Also there may be acting-out or wanting to play with particular toys, perhaps mimicking their past occupation. These things have a wholeness about them. It affects multiple aspects of the person.
I'd liken it to a stick of Blackpool Rock. I don't know if that concept is familiar to others outside the UK. It is a type of sweet or candy , often bought as a souvenir and given as a gift to others. It takes the form of a long round stick, with the name of the town or place embedded throughout the whole length, every piece, slice or chunk has that same thing embedded within it.
