How do I look deeper ?

Well. Things are coming together. I think... I don't have any answers as to who I was in a past life or what I'm supposed to do but things seem like they're starting to add up. For example... In the past I had a dream with heavy reincarnation themes- I didn't know at the time that's what it was but after having found this forum years later and researching more, I can begin to see how what transpired may be hinting me to one of my past lives. In the dream I said... "I am Sufi."
Could this have been a path I've taken in a past life ? I've never heard that word before and after researching it thought well I find nothing wrong with their ideology and that sufism makes sense.

I know I've posted here before questioning if it's possible that perhaps I'm a new soul and don't have a past life. Actually, the first post I made here was asking if it's possible I've had a future life- Now I think, maybe I have had multiple past lives. And with so many different backgrounds ! But I am finding it difficult in uncovering the truth ! My thoughts of having a future life... well I just think that's a past life from a different plane !

So I'm all backwards it seems.

I don't know how to go about in organizing these thoughts. I've been having very specific experiences and I think the message is to keep looking.

Something is communicating with me asking me to look deeper. This is where it gets confusing, what is that something ? AM I making to much out of it ?


I believe we can communicate with spirit on a personal level...Whatever that is.

Lately I've had a very direct experience with the Cicada. Twice now a single cicada has flown up and down our stairs at night scaring the bajeebuz out of my girlfriend lol and just last night a single cicada lay dead at my feet.
This morning I looked into researching the cicada and get that rebirth, transformation and even reincarnation can be associated with this insect. I am into animal totems. Could this be a past life connection ? Or just another way for whatever this force is to communicate with me ?
As I walk out the door for breakfast I find a nice penny at my feet. Instantly I thought this was a message saying, you're on the right track...

I collect lucky coins and have acknowledged this as another form of communication. Bizarre that I'd notice this penny on the inside of my house, right at my feet as I'm about to step outside. Sure maybe I had loose change one day and it fell out but I don't really carry loose change.. There's a million reasons to pull away from this being a direct link to communion with spirit... But i think this IS communication with that something.

I can't prove it but I want to share and try to make sense out of this. If Spirit is communicating with me.. this is the face it'd be making right now: cover face

Lol... the message is so clear but I'm still here posting feeling confused !

To get to the point...
Now that I've acknowledged that I need to look deeper... Here is my problem: I don't do well with conventional methods like meditation or regression... So how can I go deeper ?

Seems to me that whatever you're doing is working. The problem is that you doubt yourself.


If you think a penny at your door or a cicada in your house is communication from the spirit world, or a sign of some kind, it probably is. Sure, there are scientific explanations for everything, but that's not all there is to life. Strange coincidences and things that give you a 'funny feeling' are quite possibly signs that you are on the right track.


We are not trained, in our culture, to work at this level. We are trained, from a very early age, to trust only our logic and intellect and to mistrust our feelings and intuitions. So, this kind of thing doesn't come naturally to most people. But, if you keep being mindful of your surroundings (all of them, not just the obvious) and keep working on expanding your awareness, it gets easier.

Trust your inner mythology. It can reflect your culture, but your own response, feeling, understanding is more important than the traditional meaning for something. You can consciously form your own personal dictionary of meanings (in modern terms, you create your own skin for the game of life we all play, personalizing the symbolism) and your spirit will use it. They don't really care "what" you make available, just that you're prepared to notice when they communicate.


When you see meaning, just let it be meaningful. Acknowledge it. Let it gather itself into patterns and watch them take shape and shift to help you understand your story.


And, yes, I'm writing this to myself, too. You just reminded me again, so thank you.

What is spirit ?


Hi guys. *wave*


Thank you for your reassuring thoughts. I have acknowledged the penny findings as a way of communication before but had lost touch with the experience all together by keeping myself busy with work and the hustle n' bustle of every day life.


Between sharing the OP and having some time to myself I have re-confirmed that this is something special. That those whispers or feelings of intuition have never left me.


And so I'm trying again to listen and feel the gentle nudges. Most of which are fairly easy to recognize but acting on them is a different story(which goes back to what you've said tangeurra).


Just tonight I helped an older man. He had a flat tire. I noticed it as I was taking out the trash. There was definitely a "feeling" that, at the very least I should ask if he needed help. After the experience was over I immediately found two pennies laying at my feet.

MereDreamer I agree with you.. That "spirit" or whatever this force is can work through our interest...


Here's where I get kind of confused...


What is spirit ?


How am I finding these pennies at just the right time ? Who or what force is responsible for this communication ? Why the interest ? I tried posting something similar on this forum a while ago.. I think the thread is called, how does nature know ?


There are moments where universe or life seems to orchestrate in a way that acknowledges something I've never shared with anyone !


There's a term for this yes ? Where our brain makes meaning out of these patterns... But surely this is more then that ... x_x....

I wish I knew the answers to all these questions CP! At best I'd be guessing.


I wouldn't worry about the whys and wherefores of it all though, personally - there's that logical scientific mind at work again, trying to get in the way! Go within and ask your intuition what's going on? I'm sure the answer will be better than what I could come up with anyway.
