Sarellah, I find my guide in a simple meditation that I do. Remember, everything I'm going to describe is "virtual"! I have a gate to the other side in my back fence. If I'm not at home, I bring the gate with me. My gate is arched, with creaky hinges, and an iron latch. Yours can look anyway you want it to. There's a bottomless chest by the gate. I open it, and dump in all my accumulated emotional and mental "garbage".(That's why it's bottomless"!) I slam the lid shut on it. When I go through the gate, my guide meets me inside, usually sitting on a stone garden bench. I call her "mother", but she isn't my mother. I think she is the feminine aspect of God. She has a wonderful, warm laugh, and makes everything better. She gives me what we all need from a mother, and never get! She asks the right questions, is not judgmental, and joy bubbles up from inside her. She doesn't mind if you go and look for her, too. She belongs to everyone.
