How do you judge progress/worth?

Do you judge progress based on

1. How we've evolved in past lives

2. How we've evolved in this life

3. What kinds of changes we're capable of making, emotionally, intellectually, and physically

4. The people we are around

5. Our environment and the limitations of it - may relate to #3 & 4

...and... Do you determine worth based on spiritual progress, or do you think everyone has equal worth? And if so, is that because G-d thinks so? Is there any such thing as an objective view of worth, and if so, can it be attained in the future by all humanity?

I think everyone has the same worth. Aren't we all just matter/slash energy? Does God find one flower more beautiful than another? A weed is just a flower growing in the "wrong" place, but that's by the standard of human perception. I suspect that one has no more value to G*d than any other. That applies to flowers, weeds, and people. I would measure progress by how much we've learned/evolved in this life. We have no control over what we did in the past, and the true measure of a soul is what we do when we're alone, and no one is looking.

Good point...I was actually thinking about us being matter/energy and it lead me to ANOTHER question lol: Can everyone reach the same stage of enlightenment, or do some people's "blind spots" prevent them? Or do people choose different blind spots every lifetime so as to learn a different array of lessons? I am referring to differences in perception.

I agree about the flowers and weeds completely! Every flower is equally beautiful, even if it grows in the wrong place. :) To me that means our mistakes don't lessen the greatness of spirit or the beauty of our energy...which is all we are.

I like that, about us not having control over the past, and the true measure of the soul :)

I think, given time, we would all reach the same level of enlightenment, as all souls are equal. I think some get there faster than others, because we all learn at different rates of speed. I don't think the blind spots are chosen so much as they are an inherent part of soul development. We have them, we feel the pain they cause, we conquer them, or we don't. And the cycle goes on - one life after another.

I completely agree with everything you said - awesome! :) I feel the best way to help others grow is to see them as your equal.

We are all absolutely equal here, and everywhere else for that matter. Understanding reincarnation, (or trying!) has made me very aware that chronological age is just a number. It's the number written on our bodies, but the soul age is the one of importance. People who are older often say they feel like a teenager stuck in an old body. Some children are born a thousand years old, and feel it. I never felt "young", even when I was. That could be a function of soul age. Regardless of soul age, I believe the same potential to perfect exists.

Interesting...are you sure we can be perfect, or maybe just perfectly aware of many things? I always felt old...I wish I didn't lol!

And another question: Is every PATH equal, despite some being destructive or painful?

I think few have ever attained perfection, but Ascended Masters exist. It's just an opinion, though. The Path question is interesting. I think they all serve an equal purpose. I would think that no one would stay on a negative path forever. Lessons would be learned, and they would do something more positive. Of course, I believe in "Earth School", and not everyone on the site does. We need other opinions. There are some people here who remember being involved in negative events, and are good people now. I take that as proof that a soul's trajectory can change.

Yeah...we probably can attain something that could be seen as perfect to many people, but you can't make everyone happy. The thing is that you have to believe you're following YOUR highest path.

Definitely! :) Everyone's path changes! I think some paths are better than other paths though because they bring more love and light to the world. What we need to do is not to be attached to our mistakes but take responsibility for our successes. :)

I understand, I saw you read my answer and you thought it was fascinating and I thank you for that. I honestly might have put too much of my heart out. Unfortunately that is my life lesson. I've always had an ego to help others in need almost like what the Catholic Church says. It's really hard for me to let go of this tendency. However if there is a way for me to spread my past life wisdom on this site and beyond besides a fanfiction, I'd really appreciate it. ;) Still it's a pity that I would be indirectly framed like this.

The point is is that, is there a way to help with life lesson?

Hmmm? Yeah at times helping others can be an ego problem but if you worry that it's an ego problem all the time you may miss out on a great opportunity to help people. :) My life lesson is worrying less about my ego, haha. And sharing stories can be a great way to inspire others...
