How wonderful

Just found this forum after watching the segment on little James, his family, and Carol Bowman on Primetime.

HOW EXCITING!!!! I think that it's wonderful that Jame's parents were so open and worked so hard to help him share his memories. I was also tickled to find out that the family is from Lafayette, LA (where I live!!)

Finally, so glad to have found this forum, and all the good people in it.

Hugs to all,
Robyn:)

Welcome to the Forum Robyn

Those of us on the West Coast haven't seen it yet! Everyone here is very excited to see it. Hope to hear more!

James Mother has been on line today. Her nickname is James'smom

Carol and I just saw it. We liked it. Possibly the best American case Carol has seen, and ABC did an excellent job (considering the TV format) of laying it out.

There's actually a lot more detail that they didn't have time for. Like the fact that, since he was very young, James would remove the propellers from all his model planes. The Corsair that James the pilot had with him--the one his sister gave to little James--was missing the propeller.

Chase used his professional video equipment to get a digital copy. We're going to see if we can post it later, in a few weeks after he's finished his classes at Temple.

What did you guys think?

Steve

I would love to purchase a videotape of the show if anyone has it.

I emailed Carol after the show tonite. I was hoping that she was in/around the Lafayette, LA area so that I could volunteer for her organization.

What a great lady!! She emailed me right back telling me that she was in Philly and thanking me for the offer. How wonderful to hear from someone so quickly, when you KNOW she's got lots of other things to do. I'm impressed!!!!!!

By the way, I thought the segment was terrific. They didn't try to make James or his family look strange or abnormal.... ABC did a good job.

Please, please, please get it up here digitally if possible Steve - I would love to see it, and it's probably the only way to catch Carol on TV over here :)

Welcome to the forum Matthisone, glad you liked the segment and found us here as a result - and yes - Carol is quite a lady isn't she ;)

I would love to put up a video of the show, but I have to wait for Chase. He's in the last week of his junior year in college, doing finals, etc. He's a busy guy. So it'll be a few weeks. Unless I can twist arm.

We did capture it digitally, so we'll have high-quality video, and we'll be able to make DVD's. Again, waiting on Chase. (Ignoring, of course, the blatant copyright issues.)

But I do intend to do it. That's why we persuaded Chase to capture it digitally.

how old is to old to remember?

When my son, now 14 was about 3 or 4 he and I were driving in the car at night and we went past a cemetary. He all of a sudden said to me " I died once," At the time I was in shock. I said to him you, died? and he said "yeah, then I came back and picked you for my mommy" that was all he ever said. I did not now how to ask him about it after that and he never said anything again. I still remember it word for word and I think about it every time I drive past a cemetary. I do believe in past lives. Is it too late to find out more about his past live?

Hello dolfinfan,

Welcome to the forum,

Unfortunately those memories fade when children grow up. And in a way that is good also, because they have a life to live NOW !

My son was two when he talked about having an older brother (he only has a sister in this life) and living in a brown house and I was not there with him...

Now he is 12, he never said anything again about this, but a few weeks ago Carol Bowman was in Belgium lecturing, and doing a group regression. I went there with my children (12 and 14) and during the group regression my son remembered snippets of another life !

So, you never know when and how memories will emerge ! I had my first PL memories when I was an adult already !

Love,

Eevee
