opinions, please. i have 2 questions.

1. can someone have 2 separate PL's and have them overlap one another's lives? say one life was born in 1899 and died in 1950. then another of that person's lives was born in 1947 and died in 1979.

2. is it just one soul continuously living all your past lives? or is each person made of separate souls? like if you have a life from 1870-1900 and then one from 1920-1970, is it one soul? the 1st life being reborn into the second? or are they 2 separate souls, for some reason coming together within yourself?

do you all think it's possible? any thoughts or opinions? i'm just curious

To answer your questions, yes, the soul can divide and live overlaping lifetimes. It does not take the entirety of your soul to incarnate. In addition, the chronology of time as we know it does not exist on the spirit level. The measured passing of time only exist in the physical world. Therefore, there is no rule that souls follow for time passage of when they incarnate.


To your second question, it is the same soul continually incarnating. I have heard of souls dividing to live more than one life, but I've never heard of two souls uniting together in the same body. Your being is not a collection of different souls.
 
I've heard it described as your soul takes a portion of its wardrobe (energy) for a particular incarnation, then takes another selection of its wardrobe (energy) for another incarnation...some of the wardrobe (energy) may overlap from one life to the next, but the exact same wardrobe (energy) does not go from one incarnation to another. In the case of simultaneous incarnations, it is my understanding that there is no energy shared between the incarnate beings.

I don' t think the soul can have two lives simultaneously, because if we believe that is possible, then we have to believe in some sort of parallel universes, because then our soul might be having another life right now that we're not aware of. If we believe in parallel universes and parallel lives, then if we remember a past life... from what universe are we remembering it? then the concept of time itself gets weird.


Let' s say there are no parallel universes and i' m having another life right now in China... if i' m not even aware of it there' s no difference between me having another life in China and that other person being someone different than me.


Which leads to your second question. Me and the guy from China die, and then somehow we merge together, then in my next life what i will remember is a total mess, i will have a LOT of souls which i would of had unsolved businesses with at the same time, i will have a LOT of stuff that i would have to finish, and my lesson from my last life will be all scattered.


In the case that you mentioned, there was no time overlapping... IN THAT LIFE, but if two souls merge together like that i' m sure there would be some time overlapping somewhere in the past, and the result would be the same as above... or even worse.


So since all that business of parallel lives doesn' t make much sense to me and it doesn' t correlate with my personal experience, i' m a firm believer of one body one soul, and that time is something linear (i know it might not be but since i don' t get a good explanation of how it' s not i will believe it is... that' s how science is built)


The only case i might agree of parallel lives is if one person is in a coma and in that period the soul goes to another body... but then the first person would be soulless and pretty much dead.
 
Well, if you look at some of the stuff Einstein proposed at his time you would see that time doesn't have to be as linear and constant as we tend to think it is. In fact, in 2007 they did prove half of his theory of relativity. Space and time can indeed bend so the logical leap into it overlapping doesn't have to be that huge of a jump.

The early results from Gravity Probe B, one of Nasa's most complicated satellites, confirmed yesterday 'to a precision of better than 1 per cent' the assertion Einstein made 90 years ago - that an object such as the Earth does indeed distort the fabric of space and time.
But this - what is referred to as the 'geodetic' effect - is only half of the theory. The other, 'frame-dragging', stated that as the world spins it drags the fabric of the universe behind it.

I would also like to point out a short video with Carl Sagan on how dimensions works and how we perceive them. Not saying there are parallel(or alternate) universes, but that if we take that our current bodies are three dimensional, but our soul may be four or five dimension, one can't really know how time and space acts on other levels of awareness.

According to Michael Newton's books, souls generally live only one life at once. However, on rare occasions, souls may split a percentage of their energy to live two or more lives at once in order to speed up their development. It doesn't have to do with parallel universes.

I especially enjoyed Carl Sagan's "flat land" example. It was easy to understand. To me, the key to understanding dimensions lays in the expansion of --- consciousness. Like his example with the apple, once we experience it: we know it. :cool
 
1. I believe so...I was born in 1960 and I have another iteration of my soul incarnate...a female born in 1986 and living in another part of the country. I am also aware of two other occasions wherein this has occurred; during the American Revolutionary period and in the second half of the 1800's. These are cases of one soul having two distinct human beings experiencing the lifetimes planned by the soul.


As for parallel dimensions or simultaneous lives (a topic brought up by Owl), I have seen some past life events which indicate they may be real...i.e. instead of taking the left turn, I took the right, while there is some evidence I also took the left turn, so parallel lives. Also there were several pl meditations wherein I died in two different ways...after discussing with guidance and asking which one was accurate, I was told "both".


2. I believe also that in each of the above cited situations only one soul is involved. It can "ensoul" more than one body at a time, it is capable of dealing in multiple dimensions simultaneously, and as it is energy it is not restricted by our physical laws and can perform "miracles" if and when it appears they may be appropriate, thus violating our rudimentary scientific assumptions.
