Hi all! I haven't been here in a long time but I had an interesting experience last week that I wanted to share with you.
We were visiting my parents the past few weeks and one day my mom and I took my son who is 19 months old down to this really old cemetery to play because there is a lot of open space that he can run around in. Don't ask me why but my mom likes to do these kind of things.
Well, my son was running around and playing happily for about half an hour when all of a sudden he stopped and got this really intense look on his face. He grabbed my hand and started saying "there, there" pointing and tugging at me to come with him. He pulled me over to one tombstone (these are the old tombstones that are really big with sculptures and stuff) and the closer we got to it the more upset he became. By the time we got there he was crying and pointing at the tombstone saying "home, home, home, home..." over and over again. He had never said that word up to this point, at least not when I was around to hear.
I looked at the stone and read the name on it (noticing the stone was for a man who had died in 1870) and asked him why he was crying, what was wrong. But he couldn't compose himself he just kept crying and saying "home" and pointing straight at that stone. It was just really weird and I had to pick him up and leave because he was so upset. When we got back in the car he was twisting in his car seat to look at the area the stone was at and was still upset but not as upset. It took us five miles down the road before he stopped crying completely. My mom was sitting in the back trying to comfort him.
Then he was completely fine! It was like nothing had happened. Crazy, huh?
