Hi Folks,
Many thanks to everyone who has responded to this thread recently.
Thank you, Zengirl for mentioning the Charlie Brown cartoons. I hadn't realised before that Snoopy had a Sopwith Camel. However, I do remember the cartoons being in a UK newspaper back in the seventies.
Hi Maulacat, I think I have researched the pilot that Jasmine may have been as much as I can. I know he went to a private school and where he was born. I found a photo of him and he was a handsome young fellow. (I showed Jasmine the picture of him but there was no obvious response. She just said she was hungry and wanted her lunch.) He is regarded as an Ace having shot down a number of German planes during his short career. He was awarded the DFC. His Sopwith Camel took a direct hit from a flak shell.
One thing I did find out just recently is that Zeppelins had an exhaust that was blue and yellow. There is no way Jasmine could have known this when she drew her 'gas bimp' pictures at the nursery. All old film and photos of Zeppelins are inevitably in black and white or sepia. She must, therefore, remember seeing one in flight.
Welcome to the Forum, Maxine.

I have a wind up horn gramophone with all the old records, I wish I could play them for Jasmine.

I incline to wonder if she knows all the alternative words the Royal Flying Corp had for a lot of them.
Not as far as I know, but she definately recognized some of the tunes.

It sounds as if she must have been in London re the airship and Gotha raids. It is interesting that she likes 'Tipperary' where the theme is about an Irishman in London.
If she was the young airman I think she might have been, then she was born into a middle class family who lived not far from London. I think this may also connect with her memory of 'broken houses'.

She sounds a remarkable little girl.
She has a high IQ, and has marked academic and artistic ability. She is very confident and makes friends easily. She is also very affectionate and sweet. I too, think she is remarkable, not least because of her clear memories of the past. I am very fond of her and feel very protective toward her.
You said in your PM to me: "I was going to say to you. Jasmine's memory is faulty in one respect. The only information she is 'allowed' to give you, by her past life standards, is actually 'Name, rank and serial number'. She has mixed it up that it is NOT what she is 'allowed' to tell, it is in fact ALL she is 'allowed' the say. You might want to ask her. Just try to do it without coming across as a Prussian officer!"
I find it interesting that Jasmine may be muddled about his one. It would not be unusual if she had got something wrong, because people's past life memories are not always 100% accurate. However, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this applies to military personnel being taken POW. Not impossible for a WW1 airman, but unlikey if he was shot down; those little planes caught fire easily and shattered when they hit the ground. In Jasmine's case, I think she just has a strong memory of a very valid mistrust of speaking to anyone about anything to do with her role as a wartime pilot. I once asked her if there were any guns on her Camel plane, to which she replied, "Mind your own business, please." A while back, I found a reference to the fact that there were spies working for the enemy during the Great War who attempted to obtain information from military personnel. Also, in WW2 there was a poster campaign with the slogan, Careless Talk Costs Lives to caution the public about loose talk to strangers which might provide information to enemy sympathizers. In short, during wartime, everyone is rightly reticent about talking to anyone they don't know well and I think that cautious attitude has stayed with Jasmine. She is more trusting of me these days because she regards me now as her friend.
