Kaleb was talking again this morning

His daddy was taking him to the daycare this morning and in the car he started talking again.

He told my husband that he had a stepbrother named Joey. Well Kelvin (my husband) thought that he was talking about Heather's (my daughter) stepbrother Aaron who is 2. His mom's name is Joee. So we are thinking that he has the step part and the name wrong but the other info is amazing.

Kelvin asked how old Joey was Kaleb told him that Joey is 6. Kaleb said that Joey is older than him and he likes ambulances. He said that he works with ambulances. Kaleb told Kelvin that he is Joey's daddy and I am his mother. But Kaleb said that we aren't his parents anymore that he has a new set of parents.

Kaleb then said that Joey lives at home, then he said Joey lives at his home (meaning Joey's home) and that he lives in a big house & that it is a long house. Kaleb said he last saw Joey when he (Kaleb)was a baby. He also said that Joey has a sister.

Here is the weird part. Two years before I had Kaleb I had a miscarriage. That child would be six now if that pregnancy had progressed naturally. Kaleb is now 4.

I don't know the sex of the baby that I miscarried because I was only about 8 weeks pregnant when I lost it.

Kelvin said that the way Kaleb was talking to him was very matter of fact. No hesitations at all. Very different from the way he talks when he is making up stories.

Interesting, Amy. :thumbsup: It really sounds possible Kaleb was talking about the baby you lost. (Btw I love the name Kaleb. )

I know you are already writing everything down etc., so I'll just remind you to keep us posted if Kaleb will talk more about this.

Thank you Karoliina. His middle name is Ashton.

I will certainly keep posting of the things that he says. He hasn't done it much lately but when he does it is so amazing what he tells us.

An interesting post...

and your story brings to mind a really good short story I have read (several times) about a woman who had had a miscarriage and every night, she would visit a dream child whom she would see dropping shells into a glass jar. The child seems to recogize her, but this "watching" is the only way they communicate. She recognizes him as the child she had lost and from his clean, but worn pajamas, and his tan skin (along with the shell collection), she decides he lives in Florida or California, etc. and probably has many siblings, etc.

In the story, she is unable to have more children, and she often rides her horse in a wild way because, as she sees, she has little to lose. As we read the story, we understand that although she has lost this child, she gains an understanding of the permenance of the spirit, and this is both a pain and a solace to her.

It was a very well-known story (I read it years ago in an anthology of stories for an undergraduate class) and although I forget the author, I will find it in the next few days and post the title. Everyone interested in the subject of the spirit and reincarnation would probably find it interesting.

He hasn't said much lately. He has been talking about his little sister. He hasn't given a name but he says that she is with him all the time. He only has once sibling who is my 15 yr old daughter who is 11 yrs older than him.


He is always asking me to take considerations for his little sister. Like not to sit in her spot, make sure I fix her something to eat for supper too, to make sure her bathingsuit is clean to play on the waterslide, etc.


I'm not sure if he is just using his imagination or if this could be something related to a PL. He hasn't went into any great detail about her so I'm thinking she is imaginary.


I just wait and listen to everything that he says.
