Why do our memories fade as we get older? How come as a child, we had more concrete feelings? I was just discussing the fact that children say some strange things that may have to do with past lives. Examples:

my brother- he used to put napkins on his head and pretend he was praying to Buddha (which is odd, since we've grown up in a Christian evironment)

my friend- used to tell everyone she was black and only wanted black baby dolls, even though we live in a predominatly white part of the USA.

me- I used to tell my mom that I wanted to go back home.

Just randomness. This topic doesn't really have anything to do with anything

Memories fade for many reasons. Here are a few I can think of:

We become more involved with this lifetime emotionally and mentally.

Many cultures on this planet dismiss past lives. Sometimes people are even ridiculed, punished or labeled crazy for remembering past lives.

As we grow older we tend to identify more with our current body and personality and less with our eternal soul.

There is little support in most cultures for
remembering past lives.

I could probably elaborate on all those, but that should give the basic points.

LoL - your friend sounds a lot like me. I don't think I ever owned a white doll when I was young, and I was always mad that I was so light colored (blonde hair, green eyes, etc.) I always wanted to have black hair and dark skin. Just a random comment :O)
