Looking at reincarnation from the soul's perspective

Bob

New Member
A couple of days ago I was reflecting on how special it is that two (or more) souls can find each other again and again in this vast creation and continue to connect in so many different ways, both in and out of bodies. I know this topic is relevant to Carol's new book about how people will reincarnate into the same genetic family they were in before. I also know that most people are fascinated that this does happen and by the stories. Yet sometimes I like to sit back and feel the feelings of souls reconnecting across space and time. I can feel that behind the stories, there is an amazing love and an amazing spiritual connection that keeps bringing us together again and again.

I'm not sure I have any more words about this right now. Mostly I feel awe about how we stay connected against so many forces that could divide us. But if anyone else has any feelings or thoughts about how reincarnation feels from their soul's perspective, I'd love to hear them.

Many blessings,

Bob

Hi, Bob.

Yes, not just genetic, but through affection and love: a father may have been a son, a lover, a wife, a daughter... It all breaks down to connections of LOVE - unbreakable bonds that conduct us through learning and eternity.
I was told I am a descendant of Charles Stuart and Flora MacDonald (a child of which there is no evidence or recollection, but, nevertheless, I was told I am a direct descendant of an ancestral lifetime of mine). Can anyone help in an attempt to find facts?
Still hopefully looking forward to replies,

Charles

Hello everyone.

What about souls that have loved very deeply and yet are not allowed to be together in the present. I am presently in that situation. I know of one soul I had three lifetimes with and in each of those lifetimes, this soul/person gave his life for me. In two lifetimes, he was my lover and in the third, he was my mother.

I have recently received confirmation on who he is in this lifetime and I know that I will never be able to see him or be with him in this lifetime either because of his status in life at the moment - he is very famous all over the world.

We are separated in this lifetime but I have been told by a couple of psychics that at times, when I'm feeling very down and thinking of him, he is doing the same because that connection is still there and our souls are still yearning for each other.

My question is this...is this some sort of punishment on my part for my foolish actions in the past, that caused his death?

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

p.s.
Charles - my husband is from Glasgow, Scotland. He lives here in the States with me, but his family are still in Glasgow. I have visited Scotland three times and we are planning a trip later this year. I have a lot of information on the Prince but since we just moved, they are all in boxes somewhere. When I find them, I'll be glad to post/forward the information to you, if you want.

Dear Jere,

It's only "punishment" if you think it is. In other words, you are connected spiritually and you know this in your heart. So, you have the choice of honoring and appreciating and feeling this connection (however subtle it is) or feeling punished because the connection is not manifesting the way you want it to.

Please understand that I am not belittling the emotional pain I imagine you feel. I am a widower, and I too am separated physically from someone who I love deeply. I am just pointing out that you and I and others in this situation have a choice in how we view the contrast between our spiritual connection and physical separation. My own conclusion is that my physical separation from my late wife is not a punishment, but an opportunity to expand my conception of loving relationship of how far love can extend (infinitely). I do understand that this is not an easy path. Yet I also understand that true love is never constricted by any boundaries.

I pray that you may find some peace as you search your heart ever deeper for knowing that we are never really separated.

Blessings,

Bob

Hi Jere

Yes, I would be delighted with whatever you can send me, though I have lately been able to do quite a bit of research and, in fact, have had the opportunity of going to Scotland recently and checking a few things out for myself.
Beauty of the matter is, if you know of Charles Stuart's story (and please don't think I'm crazy by telling this), that my present wife was then Flora MacDonald, and one of my sons was then William, Duke of Cumberland (how's that for a turn of the books?). He has been brought into this life as our son as a karmic rescue, for how can one feel anything but love for one's own son, no matter what may have happened in the past?
As for your question, I also believe that karma is misunderstood if we think of it as punishment. There is no punishment as such, just the consequences of one's previous actions.

Love,

Charles

Hi,

G. de Purucker -- head of the Theosophical Society from 1929 -1942 regarded the accumulation of memories in the ether-body a growth of earthly “things.”

In other words as memories come back into recollection, or back into consciousness, there is a patterning of “human electricity” a wave or vibration which in turn cause the soul to recreate itself from the last life -“consequences karman.”

Karma is a term that continues to surface around reincarnation and implies in New Age circles - “what you sow so shall you reap.” But the original definition, and intention behind karma, Karmic law, or Karman simply means cause and effect, cause and consequences.

Consciousness creates, then consciousness is the cause. Our creations are then, the effect.

It is interesting to note that Edgar Cayce’s interpretations of karma suggests that karma is not destiny; it is only memory.

A memory of consequence. Cayce also suggests that even though we are born with memories, they are usually unconscious. But they do influence our abilities, our faults and even our relationships with others.

Wishing you all the best Jere!

Hello everyone...

Bob and Deborah, thank you very much for your kind words of encouragement and understanding. I must say, I did get a bit emotional when writing out my post (as I often do when thinking of this soul mate), but in all honesty, I'm okay with the fact that I can only watch him from a distance. I realize that we will never meet, but hey, I can keep track of him through the media and pray for him and be happy that he's made something of himself and is doing something wonderful for the world in which we live in (he does a lot of charity work).

Blessings all!

Jereldeen

p.s. - Bob...

I've reading your posts and responses to post and I just want to tell you that you have a beautiful way of explaining things, almost like having an angel explain why we have to hurt so much at times, and how we can turn that hurt around into something positive...that can bring us the healing we so desperately need at times.

just thought I'd let you know.

Jereldeen :)

Thanks Jereldeen.

Today I've been reflecting a lot on love - romantic love, spiritual love, love of self... As hard as it is sometimes to be physically alone it still does something for my soul.

Interesting that you say my writing is "almost like having an angel explain why we have to hurt so much at times, and how we can turn that hurt around into something positive". I do try to let the angel within me come through when I write, sometimes I succeed, sometimes I just write from my head. I was blessed for a few years by being married to an angel in human form. These past six years I have tried to remember that I still have a partnership with an angel who is no longer in human form. Today she even managed to send me a Valentine's Day greeting in a way that I know she was sending it. For these small reminders I am grateful.

Blessings,

Bob

Dear Jereldeen,
I feel for you. I also had a soul connection who was famous and basically never really knew that I existed. Unfortunately, death also parted us in this lifetime much too soon. My one great memory is that during a concert through sheer luck, she came into the audience to sing with the front row, and I was the first one she shared a microphone with. I am left with many thoughts of 'what if'. In my previous life in Germany I believe that she was a great friend of mine, and in another incarnation she was my sister. Even now, I believe that she helps out as a guide from the other side when I am in a quandry.

For the sake of curiosity, do any of you out there have people in your life now that you feel a deep recognition with ? Or what about those who might feel lonely, do you feel as if you are missing connections with those that you feel inside of you?

Hi Aaron,

I am not sure I understand your question..could you clarify?

This is an interesting older thread...perhaps others want to comment?

I work in the medical field. A couple of years ago, when I was ready to quit my job because I just felt so darn crummy about myself after having been harrassed by a certain charge nurse, I came into work one night and he was gone. In his place was a young man that I felt an instant rapport with. We had a horrific night with an extremely critical patient dumped on us at shift change, and worked together as a team as if we'd been friends for years and pulled the patient through. I knew he had my back and I had his. After working with him for awhile I learned to have confidence in my professional abilities again. He has gone on to other things, now his girlfriend is my charge nurse!

I have felt instant rapport and connection with many people over my lifetime, too many to list here, but wanted to respond to your question.
