Me and my neighbour

Hi, it has been a couple of years since I last posted anything on this forum. That's because I haven't remembered anything until today that is. First you have to know I have the early shift this week, which means I have to start at 6 and I get up at 4.30. When I then go to bed to late and I only get 4 to 5 hours sleep my alarm clock brutally rips me out of my deepest sleep and it's usually then I remember the most unusual dreams that stick with me all day. That's what's happened this morning. I was dreaming about my neighbour (no not a sex dream you dirty minds). Our clothing and the environment were all present day, except for an old house we seemed to live in, a house I don't recognize at all. Everything seemed normal and then suddenly there was my alarm clock :-). When I was pulled out of my dream an image popped in my head, an image that haunted me all day. Me and my neighbour, wearing clothes from the 1800s. She was crying and I was lying in her arms with a bullethole in my chest. It was a perfectly normal dream with normal stuff, so where the hell did that image come from? Why did it flash in front of my eyes when I woke up? And why did it stay in my head for the rest of the day? Seems like my neighbour and me have some unfinished history together. I don't think I'll ever look at her the same. Or is my mind playing tricks on me??

No, I don't think your mind is playing tricks on you. See if anything more pops into your head. Was it a war? Robbery? Duel? Were you married to her?

You can try to meditate on the two images you have: the one where you have the bullethole, and the one from the house. I don't know if you know this method, but you can try to hold the picture as clearly in your mind as possible, and then try to 'stretch it out', meaning trying to remember in slow steps how it goes on, or what came right before it. With the image in mind, try to see and feel as much as you can. Was it cold, hot, were you inside the house when you were ying there with the bullethole? was there a fire in the house? was it dark? evening? daytime? you could see your clothes, but how did they feel (yours and hers), were you lying on the floor, or on the earth, on the grass, in a bed, and so on, I think you know what I mean.

For me this is often a very effective way to remember more.

Sometimes a dream is just a dream. Sometimes it isn't.

There could certainly be past life elements in the dream, mixed up with present life elements. This is not uncommon. Was it your neighbour you knew in a past life, or another woman? Did you really get shot? How did that happen?

As Eevee says, try doing a meditation on it and see if anything else comes from that.

Do you and your neighbor get along in this life? Are you friends? Have you any romantic connections in this life? You definitely have some unfinished business in this life and that might be the reason you ended up moving next door to her.
