my 5 year old daughter

Hi.. This is the first time I've been to this site, but I'm glad I found it..Ever since my daughter was 3 she has been talking about when she was "bigger"..she would mention places that we've never been before and talk about members of the family that passed away before she was born..It seemed to have stopped for a while, about a yr I guess. But today while driving past a subdivision, she just blurted out that a witch was buried there and described exactly how she died..I've always let her talk about these things and listened to her describe them..Then she told my husband that she remembers when she knew his great great grandmother..I dont know if she is remembering different past lives or if she just has a wonderful imagination..Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks soo much!!

Sounds Past Life to me. My son also talked about when he was bigger a lot. My middle daughter hasn't really showed signs that she remembers much, except for a couple of notible exceptions. My little one has only had one real time when she said something past life related, but she's only 2, so I figure there's a couple of years of discoveries yet.

There is no such thing as too many books. Too few bookcases can become a problem, however.

Hi karebear373,

Have you read Carol Bowman's first book, Children's Past Lives? She provides her experience of her son having spontaneous past life memories. She says that you can tell the difference between imagination and real details by the child's demeanor. It sounds like your daughter was serious in telling you about the witch that died and things about family that she had no way of knowing.

I would suggest keeping a journal.

I can't wait to hear more.

My DD says, when I was big like you, and you were my age! VERY frequently! Sometimes she mentions my DH as young as well. At first I just thought she was confused but as she grew so did her verbal skills and my amazement!

My grandson used to talk about when he was big and his mother was his daughter. And for his first couple of years in school he insisted his name was James rather than his real name. He signed his school papers James, and insisted that everybody call him by his "right" name. He outgrew it around 7 or 8, and hasn't spoken of it since.

It wasn't until I read Carol's book that I made the connection, even though my own early memories left me taking reincarnation for granted for as long as I can remember.

Thank you for all your responses!! At least now I know that I'm not the only person that this has happened to..and I will definately be picking up books on this subject. Thanx again
