My daughter is starting to waking up, for a past life memory?

Hi, i have a 12 years old daughter, and i started to notice some issues, wel i noticed because is very similar to my childhood too, when i started to build my puzzle, probably that´s why i noticed.

she likes to draw, and she is very keen on japanese characters, she says that when she grow up, she wants to be a Manga artist, and a few days ago she told me that she was trying to learn japanes by herself... and spoke to me a few words in japanese, and sang some songs.

i only asked her why the interest, and she answered-me that she liked the Japanese culture very much, i only answered smiling, that was her with japan and me with germany... and she smiled to me

well i dont know how to deal with this, but my thinking is that she is lucky to have a father that understands her "i didn´t had no one" let her grow, and i´m right next to her when the questions starts to appear?

Welcome to our group. First you should start reading the older posts here. There is a great deal of information. Second, start keeping a journal of what your daughter talks about, drawings, etc. These are clues that can be used later if you want to research a past life. Ask her open ended questions when she talks about things that could be from a past life. It sounds like she had a past life in Japan. See if she remembers any dates, names, etc. What about your memories? Have you ever written anything down? Have you tried to research on the internet? It may help you to read Carol's books "Children's Past Life Memories" and "Return From Heaven".

and my history, i´ve already posted on this forum. i only remebrer one past life, but i´m also have some sort of sympathy about japan too, the rural and medieval japan. so... probably could have some connections to.

I'd be really careful with this one. This could mean she may have a past life in Japan, maybe not. Manga is huge with the pre-teen and teen crowd, and wanting to learn to speak Japanese as a result isn't uncommon for this group. When I was in high school, I saw this on a daily basis. Even saw this some in college. It seems to come with the territory. But, by all means, do still keep notes! You never know! She may be different from the others!

I totally agree with Edelweiß, when kids or pre-teens get into the Anime/Manga mood it can really suck them in. I know a few cases of people obsessed with Japan because they liked to read their comics and such, but they don't have any memories or recall a past life. I think even I thought a few times it would be "cool" to know Japanese.


However, maybe she DID have a past life in Japan, if she did, it wouldn't be weird that she likes all those things now. Maybe it could help to narrow down the issue a bit to know since when she had that interest. I don't know when your interest in Germany started, but mine was always there, the earlier I remember is 5 or 6. Was she interested in Japan at a younger age as well or did it all start recently with interest in a specific manga or anime? Has she ever had "strange dreams" about Japan? Did she have an "oriental preference for food"? (it sounds a bit weird maybe, but there were a couple of cases mentioned in a book where reincarnated WWII Japan soldiers manifested a preference for Japanese foods like raw fish and a dislike for the new country's food). Maybe ask her too what she likes about the culture in particular, that could give you more hints, to see if it's something superficial (like music in general, how they dress, what they watch on Tv) or if it's something deeper (like how they still hold honor as one of the most important values, for example). It might be interesting too to know if she likes Japanese music and what kind (modern vs traditional)

Here's a thought. Maybe the people who are into Anime/Manga had past lives in Japan. Maybe we are seeing a large wave of reincarnated Japanese now.

her interest has some time, but only now i noticed that, with a diferent perspective.


Yes she likes Japanese food.


and she even named her cat as "Sushi Sashimi"


she has a very strong sense of loyalty, and do "what is right"


in my case, my interest about germany, comes with me since i can remember. and what triguered me, was the fact that she is trying to learn Japanese by herself, like me, when i was a kid, i did the same for German language, and now, in my case i do know why.

My point was that interests are merely a possible indicator of a persons past lives. Phases come and go, but the ones that stick are the best possible indicators. Having said that, I would say don' discard this yet, her interest very well may be. I am cautioning against hasty "past life labels."


By the way, I too at her age took an interest in the Japanese language, food and culture. I also took an interest in the German language, food and culture. As far as I know, I don't have a Japanese past life. If so, it's probably ancient.

I would agree that it's the interests (or habits, fears, phobias ect) that stick and if I may also add, the ones that seem to be outside of the realm of their current life or experience.


One of my earliest memories was asking my mom from the car of our window what a sign over a chinese restaurant meant, that was written in chinese characters. Ever since that point in time I just had this feeling that Chinese people were somehow good people, even though I had never met one or been in a Chinese restaurant. But obviously, the source of that feeling was a deeper connection that came from a past life.


One good example from is that I would immediately grab any photo book or magazine and start from the back cover and read to the front. Many years later, after I already realized I had a Chinese past life, I connected the habit with some of my students who were really into manga as all the Chinese and Japanese books are read and printed right to left, in contrast to the western right to left.
