My daughter's experience

Ahhhh finally, a place where I can share all of the experiences we have had!! My daughter, who is twenty now, had a number of what I am sure were past life visions when she was a small child. She was the one that caused me to start researching all of it seriously. It was either that or wonder what on earth was wrong with my child??!!!

Anyway, she was born with what many older people told me was an old soul. They said they could see it in her face... She started talking in full sentences when she was eight months old, and by the time she was two, she was telling the most bizarre- I thought at the time- stories!! She would scream when we went near a lake, but loved water in a pool or bathtub... she would scream "No No I die" every time I tried to bring her in the lake. When she was three, people would ask her how old she was... she would calmly unblinkingly answer the same everytime, I am nine. When I called her by her name, she would get upset and say,"That's not my name!" I thought she was playing so I would go along and ask what her name was. She would look me tearfully and tell me she didn't remember but she knew it wasn't what I was calling her. She would go on for hours about a white house on hill, a field of grass in the back and the lake where she died. These stories continued for many months until we finally moved back to Minnesota and she seemed to forget about it.

Years later I found the book about Children's Past lives and realized that much of what she was talking about were her memories which most likely started to fade. A few years ago though, they started to come back when we were working together on our family history. We were visiting an old family cemetary way out in the country where neither of us had ever been before but she instinctively knew exactly where to go and then she started getting nervous, upset as we drove up a hill. She told me the white house was just up the road, and sure enough as we drove up the hill we came to a very old run down house no longer liveable at all but looking a lot like she had always described it! She also had such a feeling of peace and going home as she describes it, when we went to Ohio for her to enroll her at college.

I have had my own experiences, but never would have begun to explore them without her starting it all for me. Just wanted to share some of it with everyone here.

Your daughter's experience is so cool! I wish I would come across some little kid who remembered a past life. I think that would be so neat.

If you are interested, look at my topic "Could this little kid be saying something about reincarnation?" Only one person has responded so far, and I would love to hear you response!

I'll go check it now! After doing my own research, and working with preschoolers for years... I started to realize that much of those creative stories we blow off and try to ignore are very clear and vivid memories for those children! I had a student one year who had a lot serious problems but, the moment I met her in the classroom, her eyes lit up, she crawled up in my lap and said,"You're here now, it'll be okay" I had never met this child before in my life, but somehow she knew and recognized me!!

Hi Dreamfairie

Well I’m glad you found us … Welcome to the forum and thank you so much for sharing all those wonderful experiences with your daughter. And I just loved what that pupil said to you…must have been incredibly rewarding

Have you kept a journal at all??? It could be invaluable to her in the years to come if she chooses to search in this direction of past lives and inner memories
