It's been a while since I have posted and back when I posted more often it was usually about my now 6 year old son, Cameron. Well our youngest, Aaliyah is now 2 1/2 and is coming up with some pretty interesting stories of her own! I don't know if it's purely imagination or if it's a past life coming back, or what but I thought it was worth sharing!
First of all, for a 2 yr old, Aaliyah is pretty advanced as far as speech and things go (have 4 older siblings helps with that, lol) so she's easy to understand and usually there's no mistaking what she says.
So recently she began telling us all these stories about her "friend". He doesn't have a name but he's a male. He goes almost everywhere with us and when he's not with us he's at "school" according to Aaliyah. She talks to him as if he's right beside her and will point to where he is if you ask her directly. Her story stays consistant no matter what. One day we were walking Cameron and my 9 yr old daughter, Lexie to the bus stop in the morning and Cameron asked Aaliyah if he could hold her other hand (I was holding 1) and she got mad and said "No, my friends holding my hand!" and sure enough she was holding her hand out as if someone were holding her hand. She plays with him, talks to him, even fixes his "owies" when he has them. She takes him very seriously and will get mad when we can't interact with him the same way as she can.
Now to the more recent story: She keeps telling us she lives in a cave and died because of a bear. She doesn't really have more to it than that but it's pretty interesting. She is very expressive about it all and she has told everyone the same consistant story about being in a cave and dying because of a bear. Anyway, I just thought I would share this on the forums and see if other's have similar stories...the only thing that comes to mind is maybe she remembers being a cave-person?
