My neice talks in detail about war

Annabella,

I agree with Fiziwig and think you're absolutely right to not want to turn your niece into a scientific experiment in order to satisfy the curiosity of strangers. Besides the fact that it's not in the best interests of your niece, which is of primary importance, if the history of reincarnation study shows anything, it is that some people will never be satisfied by anything that you could ever possibly do.

Your niece could recite numerous accurate detailed specific facts, full proper names etc. that are not in any book, movie or TV show, but still that would not be enough for them. How do I know this? Because it has happened, over and over and over and over again. There are multiple thousands of excruciatingly meticulous documented cases for anyone who wants to do the reading, and still they claim to be looking for the one really good case.

And if you presented the most airtight case imaginable, they would then just accuse you of orchestrating an elaborate hoax.

Forget the critics. Do what you know is right.

Thank you very much Fiziwig and Anonyx for your understanding that I only want the best for my neice and I will not comprimise that for anyones experiments.

AnnaBella,

I do think reincarnation is a real, natural phenomenon. My previous questions were in no way intended to be demeaning to what you believe, they are simply efforts to understand the situation. I am disappointed that you could not respond to some of them more directly.

I don't think you posted this story here without expecting feedback. If you didn't desire feedback, one must wonder why you posted your story for others to see. Why not keep it to yourself? By opening yourself to this feedback, you can not be upset when the feedback is not all affirmative of everything you think.

I agree with fiziwig when he says -

some are here looking for answers to deep mysteries. For those who wish to collect solid evidence hard questions must sometimes be asked. Read some of Dr. Stevenson's books to see how many really hard questions he asks himself about his own case histories. The scientific approach needs to be tough-minded.This is in no way meant to suggest that anyone knows better than you what is going on in your house. Exactly the contrary. Since nobody else can know what is really happening, those who are outsiders feel the need to ask questions in order to better understand what is going on

That's all this is about, understanding what's going on. Whether or not it's a past life, it's important to understand what's going on with your niece because something is bothering her. If it is a past life, it would be nice to have some information you can provide to an outsider and norm. of today's culture who relies on evidence to be convinced of things as opposed to maternal bond.

I do not understand why you are so defensive about the suggestion that this was inspired by television. If you claim your eyes have been held open by toothpicks every moment your niece watches television, so be it.

I also don't understand how having a conversation with someone and asking questions is making the other person out to be a lab rat. If it is, and this is a rule of social etiquette that I am not aware of, I have to admit that I have shamelessly asked my little niece questions when having conversations with her. Perhaps I owe her an apology.

I think it was just last week that I asked, "Do you know what the answer to number 18 is?" while helping her with her homework. Next time when she says the answer to 4 x 4 is 18, I will tell her that she is correct, and if soemone asks about it, I will firmly state that she is indeed correct. I will even protest her math teacher's refutations.

In the mean time, one must also question why you watched Saving Private Ryan with a seven-year-old. Maybe her interest in war films doesn't arise from a past life at all, but from the fact that her curious, young mind is being fed images of heads splattering and machine guns thudding in glorious THX digital 8-track sound.

Parenting criticisms aside, here are my thoughts. If your niece has indeed never seen a documentary about the operation in Somalia, and has never heard the name Casey Joyce before, there is high potential that she has recalled a past life.

You wrote the following:

"Zia will you talk with me about The Battle of the Black Sea" I told her I did not know what she was talking about and she whispered "18 Americans were killed in 1993 in Somalia"

It's interesting that she worded this the way a child would about a subject they were taught in school.

But I have another interesting point about this. An excerpt from the website dedicated to the soldiers said that Casey Joyce died after falling out of a helicopter. AnnaBella has just informed me this was not correct, so I removed the inaccurate reference.

However, even in light of this new information, Casey Joyce died before some of the other 18 Americans, making us wonder how your niece - relying solely on memories from the past life since she, according to your confident words, saw no documentaries on the incident - could have known that 18 Americans died. The only way this would be possible is if she/he haunted for awhile after the death, or was provided with some sort of viewing glass from heaven. This statement is not so much skeptical as it is curious! If this case is true as you so strongly believe, then after a death it is not an immediate transition to the next life, or absent time, but somehow there is the opportunity to see what happened after you went.

You also wrote:

We are not American and I was extremely surprised when the morning of October 3 2002 came and she stood up and sang teh American national anthem from start to finsh without mising a word.

Oh dear God, see that's why you shouldn't let children watch football games.

AnnaBella, it is not at all amazing that she knows the words to the American national anthem. I know Canadians - adult, born and raised Canadians - who know the words to the American national anthem but not the wailing lyrics of "Oh Canada". What is amazing is that she sung this on October 3rd!

My conclusion that is if everything you say is true and she has had no exposure to documentaries we're looking at a good chance that this is all genuine. Note there is a lot of "if's" there.

For those of you who are curious to catch a glimpse of what Zia's niece looked like back when she was a man, here are some photos.

I'd also like to add that whether or not Sergeant Casey Joyce is now Zia's niece, based on what I've read about him he was a brilliant and brave man. God bless his soul and his selfless bravery. I mean that.

Just to clarify a few things, Casey Joyce did not fall out of the helocoptor that was Todd Blackburn. Casey Joyce was one of the soldiers that carried Todd Blackburn to a Humvee with two other soldiers and did not die during that part of the fight. The first ranger to be killed was Domonick Pilla if you want to know the whole story instead of what family members choose to write you should read the book Black Hawk Down all the details come from soldiers that were out there not like web sites that were made from family members that sat at home during the whole thing. Oh and just another thing Zia is the italian word for aunt it is not my name.

Sorry I misunderstood your name, AnnaBella, but didn't Casey Joyce still die before some of the others? If so, it would make an interesting point.

Casey Joyce died in the lost Humvees attempts to find their way to the first crash site but not untill after the second helicoptor flown by Mike Durant went down. "Across the alley, Joyce was on one knee facing north, doing things right. He had found cover and was returning disciplined fire, just the way he'd been taught, when a gun barrel poked from a window above and behind him and let off a quick burst. Carlson saw it happen. There wasn't even time to shout a warning, even if Joyce had been able to hear him. There was just a blaaaap! and a spurt of fire from the barrel and the sergeant went straight down in the dirt on his face." Black Hawk Down. The lost Humvees had stopped while they were figuring out how to reach the first crash site although it says they were only seconds away from the second one. Jasey Joyce didn't die until after the fight had become full blown.

Regression at a young age...

I don't think regressing your niece at this age is a good idea either.
My own daughter came back with memories from a past life and I didn't think having them brought forceably to the surface via a regression was a good idea til she was older, and well grounded in this life.
She was regressed at 17/18 years old...that was good....many details came forward.

I am only asking for name, rank, serial number to
be produced via regression/hypnosis. Names and addresses would also be wonderful. I am not asking for any details of brutal military combat to be remembered using regression.

If Carol Bowman reads this, it would be nice for her to "chime
in". It would be great to hear from her now.

Respectfully,

Andrewx

A suggestion or two.

Hi AnnaBella,

I have been reading along. I have a suggestion -- that might help your niece 'heal' -- and to express her feelings, emotions and memories. Healing is of course a very important part of her journey.

Does your niece like to draw? Art work is a wonderful outlet and might also give you more information on how to help her. Sometime, when it feels right -and she is wanting to talk about her memories -introduce the idea -- of drawing a picture about it.
Then - when she is done -- have her explain what the picture is about.

Also- does your niece remember her dreams? Do any of the dreams suggest past life recall? Maybe help her keep a dream journal, and talk about them with her.

You might want to also read Carol's first book. In chapter one she describes her son's traumatic past life journey and the regressionist ( Norman Inge) she took him to -in order to help him heal.

Soldiers

I find the subject of reincarnation very interesting and I think it's a shame that people on this board are arguing when they should be talking about finding out more information in a more supportive and objective manner.

That said, I would just like to point out that soldiers don't have "serial numbers" anymore. The numbers on their dog tags now are their social security number. Contrary to popular belief, soldiers don't rattle off "name, rank and serial number" all the time. The only time they're being asked for their name and number is when they have any paperwork to fill in or when they see a doctor at the hospital (where they give last name and last four of their social because that's enough to look up their information on the CHCS computer system).

I'd also like to mention at this point from personal narratives I've heard from guys who were there (two friends of mine served as snipers in Somalia) that the book Black Hawk Down and the actual events in some cases differ greatly.

Just wanted to add that input. I know it's not really all that relevant to this discussion, but I wanted to mention it nonetheless. If you do want to verify her claims of having been a soldier, you should maybe ask some things that she will not have a way of knowing unless she really was this soldier in a past life. For example, ask her what the little "spare" piece is a lot of new soldiers come up with when cleaning their M16, or ask her how high up the airborne wings need to be from the nametape on the BDUs. I am pretty sure she won't have been able to pick that up from any documentaries.

Last but not least, I am wondering - exactly why are you allowing a little child to watch movies like Saving Private Ryan?! Don't you think she shouldn't be watching this just yet?

I just read Taoist's lengthy post on this page and I have to agree with one point he made:

How would she have known 18 soldiers died?

If your nice is in fact Casey Joyce reincarnated, exactly how would she know 18 soldiers were killed? Even if Casey Joyce didn't die until much later in the fighting, there would not have been any way for him to know about the fact that 17 others were killed - that information wasn't even known until after all units had either returned back to their camps or arrived at the stadium. I doubt casualty figures were available until a day later, considering all the chaos and injured soldiers that had to be dealt with first.

Even if Casey Joyce had had access to a radio while he was on his mission, he would not have been able to get an accurate count of casualties through that. You have no idea how confusing radio traffic gets once things get "ugly". Being able to tell with any certainty about the number of casualties from radio traffic on a mission is completely and utterly impossible.

I find this interesting and am wondering the same thing as Taoist - how can this be explained? I am also wondering why you have not addressed this valid question/issue at all?

Look at Stevenson's work

There are many many cases - that illustrate children - who have died, have lingered around the area of their death -and have known things about what happened....."after" they died. Consciousness doesn't die when the physical body does. Just look at NDE references and books.

I'm in a hurry this AM -but will come back to clarify more later if needed.

I don't think that watching war films is the reason why she's so interested in war, because when I was that age, my parents let me watch anything I wanted to, including war films. I watched a few war films, but never became all that interested in war. When I was little, I generally watched shows about what I was interested in, my interest was (and still is) nature, so I watched nature shows. The shows didn't make me interested in nature, my interest in nature made me want to watch the shows. I think that would probably be the same case for someone interested in war.

I Agree....

With you there Deborah.....There are many cases where the spirit lingers after passing over.....and they'll know other details that happened after. My daughter did this also, and was asked during regression how she knew something after she/he had been killed, and replied "because I hadn't left yet, I was watching".
She said she felt like she was floating up above what was happening, and could see everything.

:) Thank you for sharing this story! I appreciate reading the diverse recommendations presented in good faith to help your niece.

I hope all is well with her and she is learning how to heal from those memories. As a parent myself, I know how awful it is to feel so helpless. It sounds to me as though you are doing everything right by her.

I am very interested in hearing more as her journey progresses. Your instinct will be the best source of guidance. Have confidence and faith in yourself through this journey. It seems you are very fortunate to have one another.

In Light,

Dana
