My son and I,any thoughts

First a little background about the two of us. I have three sons but have always been particularly close with my oldest son. Part of this is likely due to the fact that he was born when I was in graduate school and I was able to schedule myself in such a way that I stayed home with him most of the week while his mother worked but I really felt strongly bonded to him since he was born. Anyways, when he was almost two and just started talking he looked at me and said "I remember when we were riding horsed and brown people were chasing us. You fell down and wouldn't get up because you had a stick in your back." I was taken aback by this but asked a few more questions later than night and he insisted that we were both "big" and "brown people" chased us and recited the whole story consistently. I should point out that to my knowledge he had never seen a western movie before and i am not aware of him knowing about "cowboys" or "indians" at all. Another interesting part of this is that i have since birth had a birthmark in the shape of an arrow head on my back.

I still don't know what to make of this doe anybody here have any thoughts?

Welcome to the Forum --

It sounds like your son is expressing a past life memory. Have you checked out the link The Four Signs....? It's a great place to start and to help you determine how to tell if he is or not.

Do you have any past life memories of the life time he is expressing?

He seems to have meet the Four Signs but this was seven years ago and he has no memory of it now. I did not have any past life memories like this but I do remember being amazed at how much sense it made. Despite being naturally skeptical I rembember remebering that this "fit" for me and seemed comfortable.

Hi Dr. Snide and welcome to the forum! I liked how you were able to sense that his "memories" seemed resonate with you. I feel that when it comes to past life memories, we just know when something fits.

If you stick around on this forum, or get a chance to read Carol Bowman's books, you'll come across many examples of young children who seem to remember previous lives and what roles others played during those lives.
