My son has been bugging the hell out of me.

Not unusual to hear I suppose, until I mention that he hasn't yet been conceived. Well technically I suppose he has, twice, but the pregnancy has been terminated both times.

Before the first time, a bird squeezed it's way into my hotel room by way of the air conditioner. Some cultures believe that a bird entering into the home is a sign of a new soul being imparted. It was exactly what entered my mind when it happened. I guess I had already felt the presence around me, but this was my first formal recognition of him. A month later he was conceived for the first time, but the time was not right.

A year later, he tried again, but again the circumstances weren't quite right. So he's been waiting patiently for the right time now for the last five years. Now he's starting to get a little impatient, like some one knocking on the bathroom door, getting a little more insistant each time.

A couple weeks ago I had an announcing dream in which he appeared, as a full grown man - tall, dark haired, lanky with a gorgeous mischevious smile. I know that not only have I had a relationship with him during the last 5 years, as a presence that has shown himself to me in little flashes and in dreams, but as someone I have known very well before. He showed me his name, as though to introduce himself to me formally. Interestingly enough, his last name was not mine, but my former partner's. I wonder if this means that I will be back with my partner down the road or with someone with the same surname.

I've visited with 2 psychics on the three different occasions in the past few months, and each time he has come up in the reading. The first two times he came up right in the center. He also used to appear regularly in my readings when he was around 5 years ago. The reader, if not my usual one, would usually assume I already had a child.

Lately, I feel him around me all the time, again. Last week, he was around me a lot. Not really bothersome, but distracting as one would imagine having a small child around while trying to work would be. It wasn't until I said, I promise I will clear things off in my life and make room for you, that the urgent, insistant energy eased off.

Today was the most recent time that I saw a psychic and he came up again, but was not in the center of the reading. I take this as another sign of his relenting after I made my promise to him.

I look forward to his arrival, when it finally does come. Given that I don't consider myself overtly psychic, I can only attribute his strong clear messages to his own talent in such a regard. I hope it carries through to this side so that I can help nurture it in him. I wonder if he'll remember his visits to me or our past relationships. I have not had a past life recollection involving him yet though I have had a few memories, but I believe it will come. Perhaps he will be able to tell me about it when he comes.

I realize that this post probably belongs in the adult experiences section, but I am hoping it is only a prequel to posts about his own experiences.

HI Sushi,

You might be interested in Elisabeth Hallett's website -I am sure she would love to hear from you. She has written several books about - prebirth communication and her website has many stories similar to yours.

Light Hearts and the link to her books.

She use to frequent this forum when it first began..a dear dear sweet woman. :)

Yes, thank you. I've seen her site before. I believe it was her website that actually led me here. I also noted the story entitled violet-blue light on her website, which also noted a bird entering the home. Most people will be familiar with the movie The Crow. In it it states that the crows carry spirits over to the other side and in the movie it returned him from the dead. This idea of birds being involved with the coming and goings of souls seems to exist in many cultures.

I will take your suggestion and email her my story.

Wow! I have had a vision of a future child as well but nothing like this! That's pretty cool...Thanks for sharing!

How is it that the pregnancy was terminated?

You aborted the baby? Not that I am going to make any negative comments as I have also terminated thru abortion once. I am just curious to see that you will be getting the same soul. Could this mean that one of my children now is that child I terminated, too. I would like to think so. Although I haven't had any signs of it.

Crows

This idea of birds being involved with the coming and goings of souls seems to exist in many cultures.
I will tell you an Indian custom about the dearly departed. Every year, on a specific day, we honor them by preparing special meal for them. Their portion is then served to crows and they are 'called' or invited to join the feast. People wait for a crow or crows to show up and eat their food before sitting for their own meal.

That's a beautiful custom

Is it Native American indian? If so, what tribe may I ask. My very dearest freind is part of the comanche heritage.

Yeah, my daughter too. And my son did that before he was born too. It's sort of like someone knocking on an attic window.

New here!

Hi, I'm new to this very interesting forum.

I have four children and numerous nieces and nephews.

Before any of them were born or even conceived, I once visited my sister 'N' and her husband for a meal.
On my way home found myself accompanied by a lovely little dark-haired girl of about 6, who chatted to me as we walked. It didn't seem strange at the the time that kept up with me easily!

She told me that she was coming to 'N' soon, but not just yet. At a busy road she said, 'I can't go any further, I'll see you again', and was gone.

Soon afterwards N. announced her first pregnancy and I wasn't surprised when the baby was a boy. The next was a girl, who grew into the exact model of the girl I'd seen so many years before.

I also used to 'see' a blue-eyed, blond boy, who told me that I already knew his name!

When my first child, a girl, was born I was delighted but felt that Dylan was still patiently waiting. 15 months later he arrived, blue-eyed and white-blond.

My third child's name came to me when I looked up at a bright sky through a window one day and seemed to hear someone say 'Aidan'.
My sister 'O' was not amused. She'd had a stillborn baby years before who had been, unknown to me, christened 'Haidan'.

Neither name was familiar to me and I'd thought I was being very original!

my son's been bugging me too!

wow - this is so very interesting .... I also had experiences of my son's spirit before his conception and birth.

I believe he was hanging around - encouraging a union between me and his unlikely father. We thought there was a poltergeist in the house: lights, tv, stereo, and garage door opener operated inexplicably by themselves. Once, we returned from a week away - I had been careful to lock everything up before the trip - but arriving home at 2 in the morning the garage door was wide open. I ran in to check on my tools and such - nothing was disturbed. The door leading into the house was still locked, but inside, lights were on and the stereo was playing.

The activity slowed down in the early part of the pregnancy. During my 6th month though, I was awakened one night, and sat up in bed. I was clearing my eyes, because I thought I could see the silhouette of a large-shouldered man, standing at the foot of the bed. The shadowy figure only became more defined, until I was convinced the figure was really there. Then it suddenly fell forward, right into me, and I was startled and frightened into immediate tears and near-hysterics. His father woke up - I told him what happened and shook and cried for a good half hour.

I felt right away that this was the spirit of my son entering the womb. (proof for me that life does not necessarily begin at conception) But why did it frighten me so much? I worried that my son would be a difficult spirit for me - I was certain he would be strong-willed and assertive .... and the name we gave him shortly afterward, I am certain, was chosen by him. We were considering ethnic names to reflect his Norwegian heritage, and when the name Lars came up, it stuck like glue. He is LARS.
He's almost 9 now, and HAS been difficult ... also incredibly bright, creative, social, and loving.
I've sometime accused myself of not being up to the challenge of raising this powerful soul. But I remind myself that he chose me - so I must be capable of giving him what he needs.

For some years after I was married I could sense the presence of a little girl with me. I felt absolutely that she was my future child but sadly, we never had any children and I've never been pregnant. Has anyone else had this experience of feeling the presence of their child who was never born?

Yes, both miscarriages - one boy, one girl who was the oldest child's twin. My son miscarried because I was partying too much - the twin died because of the RH factor, which only came into play because of the first miscarriage.

I was not aware of either until they came thru and I had the chance to talk to them. Hannah Ann is extremely loving, but does not come around much. My son is very precocious - always doing something.

I have not yet seen either of them, but my oldest daughter has many times. She says Hannah looks just like her - but with curly hair, and my son looks like my nephew, again with curly blonde hair.

Hopefully one day I will be able to figure out how to see them - or them to show themselves to me.

There are also other children who come around, but they are not genetically related to me. (At least I don't think so)

Edited to clarify:
When I lost my son I was young, newly married, on the pill, and stupid. It is not who I am today at all, but I feel it was a big part of my learning process - I probably only have 6 drinks a year now :)

More than a feeling

Has anyone else had this experience of feeling the presence of their child who was never born?
Hi Sister Grey, long time, no see! My then wife was pregnant with who would have been our first child. Instead, the pregnancy ended in miscarriage after about a week or two. I feel, my mother was trying to come back to me, but God had different plans. My mother and I were very close for most of my life, but I had some conflict with her towards the end of her life. I think I know the immediate spiritual cause of the miscarriage. In any case, it was another lesson of how karma operates in our lives. Incidently in this case, karmas of two persons, or perhaps even three, collided to produce that consequence. Not too long after that, my ex became pregant again. It was my other parent's turn. He fared better.

My sister O who 'lost' Haidan was drinking and smoking heavily and neglecting herself badly during her pregnancy, which she didn't even have diagnosed until it was fairly advanced.

There was a feeling in the family that she was responsible for not taking better care of herself and the baby. I didn't know about this belief, nor about the baby's name, until after my own son Aidan was born as I am much younger than my sister and so was not told.

I was very careful of my own health but still had a 'placenta previa' incident which resulted in my being told that my baby was dead. I did not believe this and insisted on a scan.

This showed a healthy 14-week foetus, who would have been aborted if I had taken advice and allowed a 'tidy-up' D&C. (Sorry for the excessive detail.)

Later, my drunken husband assaulted and battered me when I was heavily pregnant. I didn't get any medical attention for this but Aidan survived this too.

I also got used to being told that his heartbeat was undetectable, with midwives and doctors' faces going white and their voices panicky. This happened at every examination, but I knew my baby was OK and would reassure them accordingly.

On top of all this, Aid was a 'lateral presenter' nearer my due date which meant that he was in a dangerous position. If labour began he could have started being born arm or shoulder first with dire consequences. I spent a night in hospital, during which he appeared to flip back into the correct position without my noticing.
This was a week before his birth, at which he weighed 8lb 6oz!

He is presently a student at Oxford University in the UK and has never smoked or touched drugs, and rarely drinks. It's as if he knows better!

Aidan is a student counsellor and has a calming influence on troubled people. I believe him to be a healer, though he finds this hard to understand just now. He has always been wise beyond his years and loved and looked up to by those around him. I believe him to be a special soul with a definite purpose in this life, and I hope to live to see it unfold.

These are wonderful stories; just wanted to say I really enjoyed them!

Cuadvlied, I have no doubt that Aidan is very special indeed, to have survived all he did while you were pregnant. His soul is on a mission, all right!

Aimee

Thank you, Aimee!

Aid is young man who wishes to do good in the world and I am proud of him for that.

I think that he was being given certain lessons from well before he was born, which is why he came to my sister as Haidan before he came to me. In this part of the world, to pronounce 'Haidan' as 'Aidan' would be disrespectful, which is perhaps why O was offended.

Maybe I misheard the name though - easy mistake to make!

My mother's friend C lost a young son in a traffic accident. When her surviving daughter grew up, C went to see a psychic, who told her that her daughter's new baby boy was the son she had lost. The psychic didn't know the family and certainly couldn't have known about the accident.

Mama2HRB and Kris - (Hi Kris! It’s nice to see you.) - Thanks for responding. I’m glad you both went on to have other children. It’s devastating to have someone that close and then have them slip away, I feel like it’s my fault even though logic says I had no control over the circumstances. I suppose we took a wrong turn in life somehow, whether or not I can see it.

Sister Grey ~

I did not find out about them until the past two years - Nathaniel James was lost in 1981, Hannah Ann in 1990. I was spared the heartbreak of their loss. I cannot imagine losing one of my two live girls now ....
