Hello,
I was just thinking about a friend of mine who my son adores so much. He is four and she is 24. When I was expecting him, she was upset with her partner one day and said, jokingly, "If it's a boy he'll be sweet and I'll marry him when he is 20!" We laughed it off. When he was born, she saw him and said, "That's it, he's my boy!" As he grew, he used to love seeing her. She does resemble me, but his eyes would get wider and he'd look at her like he was star struck. We don't see her often because our schedlues conflict.
When he was about 16 or 17 months old, (he learned to talk well, quickly), he asked her what her favorite was. She said, "green" and he said, "Mine too!" I didn't know that. I thought it was orange! She said, "okay now...What is your favorite animal?" He told her it was an Elephant and she told him that it was her favorite too. She said, "how about food?" They like the same foods too. She said, "Oh will you marry me?", and he said, "Yeah, well I was just thinking about that out in the car." (Before we went into were she worked).
When they talk, it is like watching two adults talking. He is four now and introduces everyone to her. He could hardly wait to show her to his grandparents. He gave her a present on her birthday this year along with a long stem red rose. He makes sure that she knows she is invited to his birthday and that she gets the first invitation. He also drops by her work and leaves her chocolate and candies.
A few months ago, he said to my sister that she would have to go shopping for clothes soon for the wedding. She asked him what wedding and he told her my friend's name. And she said that he was right because she was marrying her boyfriend.
My sister said he looked really confused and then asked like he was upset, "Who's that?"
We all always thought it was cute. Looking back at the pictures I have of the two, there is a visible connection that you can feel with seeing the picture. My family thinks it is sweet that he has a crush on her. He calls her, his. Like he'd say MY mom or MY dad.
I think that they have a connection to one another from a previous time.
Does anyone have any input or similar stories like this? I'd love to hear it.
take care
